Not many pizza spots in this end of town except Domino's and Little Caesar's; we tried another local one but it was closed for the holidays. This had a tempting menu online, and was open. The outside is sketchy. The building doesn't quite look open, the access road and parking are in disrepair. But it was open, and we were hungry. Inside it is much nicer. The booths are a little threadbare, but generally the decor and tableware were pretty fancy. Service was friendly, from the owners apparently. We ordered at the counter. The menu is big, with pizza and apps and also Turkish items. Kid K got a small cheese pizza and added feta. I got a small meat lover's. Halal, so I assume the pepperoni was beef; plus gyro meat, ground beef, and more. Also a samsa, sort of like a runza. A pastry pocket filled with seasoned beef and onions. It came first and was outstanding. For $4, a good portion and an excellent flavor. The pizzas came next and one was wrong, perhaps due to communication issues at the counter. What came turned out to be their special, cheese with feta plus spinach and tomato. Kid K is not into those, and there were so many toppings she couldn't really eat around them. The server whisked it away and came back in 10 minutes or so with a fresh cheese pizza with feta sprinkled on top. K loved it. My meatza was good: slightly thick crust, loads of good cheese with a great pull, tons of meat. Too much food after the big samsa, so we'll see how it reheats later, but I enjoyed a couple of slices right then. Hot and cheesy and meaty. We also got a small piece of pistachio baklava. Barely able to eat any more, but I scarfed it down. Very, very good. Drinks are bottled. Prices are decent for the quantity and quality. I'd come back if I lived nearby. Lots of other things on the menu I want to try, mainly in the Turkish section. read more

Ordered a large pepperoni and meatball pizza with mozzarella sticks as the appetizer . The pizza was a good size, the pepperoni and cheese twas tasty but the meatball flavor was off. Pizza was a bit greasy but nothing too bad. Mozzarella twas tasty after being thrown in the air fryer for a few more minutes. Order was available for pickup less than 15 minutes after placing and price was ideal. Will order again. read more

I can't see this place making it much longer. I'm always up for trying new things so I was in the area and figured I'd give them a shot. I was the only one in the restaurant at 12:30. On the TVs they had playing cartoons which I thought was odd, on another TV. They had a gory gross movie playing that the staff stared at while I ate, I heard my entire meal being microwaved in the back. Food was grizzly greasy, and I could tell it wasn't that fresh. when I went to pay the owner had to break change out of his wallet, because there was nothing in the cash register. I've driven by a dozen times and thought someday I'd check it out, and today, my lunch time and location lined up. Business seemed very slow, and what business was being done was complicated by the cash register being down. It took a moment for me to be noticed, but I didn't wait overly-long. I was quoted twenty minutes for a small pizza, which is about how long it actually took (a good thing after I was recently forced to wait 37 minutes for three tacos at a new place in third street). When it came out, it was delicious. I had the Village Pizza Special (a margherita style pizza I think) and it was lovely. Heavy on the parm. I would have preferred some napkins; another customer who came in after me was also a little confused about whether to sit, or order up front, or what. There is a language barrier for sure, but you can tell from the interior that there is a lot of earnest effort on display. I hope this place does well. read more

This was my second time here. Never get disappointed. I yelped them like 12 months ago when we had our first visit here. Quality and standards have not been dropped but improved alot. Since our road trip to Dayton from Los Angeles,CA. I always try to have dine in here. Best food, their pizza is delicious. What ever we order, everything is so yummy. Best service and best prices in the town. Restrooms are extremely well maintained and clean. InshaAllah in future hopefully we visit Dayton again, definitely will stop here. THANK YOU. Food's not bad but the service is the absolute worst. Came to try this spot for the first time with my son was sat down by an angsty teenager. We asked for cups full of ice for our fantas and a couple glass of water, never got the cups and water just the bottles of fanta. We ordered the mix grill and the 5-cheese pizza, food took too long to prepare and came out subpar. Pizza didnt have much sauce at all, the mix grilled meat were dry and tasted bland. We never saw the angsty teenager server again until i stood up and asked for the bill and some boxes. Server gave me a pizza box for the pizza and a styro box for the mixed grill. The styro box literally broke in half so by this am alrdy done...i asked for another box as i try to sign the bill, then my son told me theres no TP in the bathroom. The pen the server gave me did not work either so i politely asked for another pen, but dropped it unfortunately and angsty teen thought i wanted to fight lol. I understand he can see the frustration on my face after all these misfortunes so he thought i was being rude and called d whole crew up front. I de-escalated the the situation as the female manager who was rampaging up front was ready to brawl. I was not about to show a bad example to my son, so i kept deescalating and got it all handled peacefully. Finally, my son got his TP in this disgusting bathroom, and we got out of there unharmed. Overall experience: shit service, subpar food, terrible management. Spend your time and money elsewhere, cuz we definitely wasted ours. read more

Definitely a hidden gem of Dayton! Delicious pizza and really amazing Turkish / Mediterranean food. Family owned and operated. Portion sizes are huge and everything was fresh. Beautiful interior. Sigara Borek was crispy and with great chewy cheese filling. The Alviye salad was cool and fresh. Lentil soup was creamy and smooth. And the turkish bread was brown and crispy on the outside and airy and soft on the inside....the perfect bread! We also got a deluxe pizza and it was really good too! Ingredients were fresh and tasty. We'll definitely be going there again soon! read more

We were a party of 3 and wanted to try this restaurant out as we do like to support local. When we arrived we joined our friend already seated. It took the waitress around 15 minutes to bring menus and take our drink order. She looked at us as if she were surprised to see us... literally her mouth dropped and her eyes got wide. She came back in about 15 minutes more and brought our cans of soda and proceeded to take our order while questioning our choices. I wanted 2 gyros with nothing but tsatziki sauce on both. She then looked at me like I had 3 heads and I did confirm that what I had ordered was indeed what I wanted. My friend ordered one gyro no tomatoes with tsatziki on the side and an order of fries. The waitress again looked at them like they were crazy because they wanted the sauce on the side The other guest was a Philly Cheese Steak with fries. She looked at them and asked about the fries being on the sandwich. They stated that they indeed wanted them on the side and not on the sandwich. As she seemed flabbergasted that the sandwich was being desecrated by not having the fries on the sandwich. I then added an appetizer of fried mushrooms. 45 minutes later the 1 gyro arrives with fries and a side of sauce and my appetizer arrives. No discussion, no refills offered and no explanation of the arrival of the other food. The Philly Cheesesteak was next to arrive with my 2 gyros. This was 20 minutes after the first gyro arrived for the other person in our party. Thisind you was the last time we saw our server at our table. She never checked back or for that matter wasn't seen in the dining room any more for the rest of our visit. 45 minutes later and still no waitress.... I finally end up going to the register to ask for our checks and to go boxes. I went back and sat down "thinking" she would bring them to the table... NOPE! So another of our party went to the counter and asked the same. He started to come back to the table, and was called back and handed our checks and our boxes. I asked if he wanted tipped since he was doing the waitresses job. He looked at me as if to say yes, but gave me a look that made the entire table laugh... we looked at our checks and to our surprise a "WAITRESS FEE" had been added to our bills. 15% of the total of our individual checks. Well after such poor service or NO service to say the least. We went to the counter to pay for our bills because waiting for her to come collect would have been more time than any of us wanted to wait. We were absolutely not pleased with the food or the service and will not be back. Unfortunately I don't see this place staying in business long with location being prime but service being so poor if not non existent. read more

i hate to do this to a local establishment but, here we go.... we had never eaten here before, and placed a large delivery order. we ordered a pizza w veggies, no meat, and no cheese. Mistakes happen and the order was done incorrectly. So I called and informed them we had a big order and everything looked tremendous BUT the pizza for our vegan friend was done incorrectly so we asked for it to be redone. They argued w me about a pizza must-have cheese. They told me they would make the pizza over again, but they would not redeliver it and we would need to pick it up and PAY again for the pizza. I finally decided this was going nowhere so i requested a refund for the $12.99 pizza, they continued to argue w me, i stayed calm finally they said come get the cash we give you cash. i informed them i could not do that i was at work. so the end of the story is I'm not going back. not worth my time. if you are looking for good Mediterranean food i suggest you visit Olive downtown. read more
