Ordered a 2 meat platter and only one meat was delivered. And the meal was cold when it was delivered.

Casual location with takeout option. We ate in and I ordered the chicken platter with rice which comes with a side salad and pita bread. They must have mistaken my order and instead gave me lamb. They apologized and told me they could make the chicken right away. I told them not to worry about it that I would eat the lamb platter as is. It was delicious and prices were decent (~$41 for two platters and two drinks). Although there was a mix up with the order they did a great job attempting to rectify the situation which is appreciated. Customer service goes a long way. Give this place a try! read more

Quick and delicious! Came here before a concert with my sister. We got the dip sampler and shared a gyro platter. We felt like there could've been more gyro. We finished everything! We sat outside. I like the area, plenty of people walking by and places to eat on this block. There's only street parking so we parking a little while away. I'd definitely return! read more

Small Gyro spot in downtown Rutherford. I ordered on my way home from work and everything was ready within 10 minutes. Parking can be rough, but you already know that if you're from the area. Gyros were excellent. Packed with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onions and the tzaziki was on point. We also got an order of Buffalo Greek Fries and Zucchini Sticks. The Buffalo Greek Fries were phenomenal. I know, I know, it's not Greek but it was so good. Feta with tzaziki with hot sauce mixed with fries..... Yeah, that worked. SO GOOD!! Needed a quick place for dinner and saw great reviews for this place. Such a nice staff who really care about what they serve. Love that! Shrimp and chicken kebab with grilled veggies was fabulous! So flavorful and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Nice sweet meaty shrimp. I had the lemon potatoes instead of rice, which were so good. We walked in around 10:15 pm on a Saturday night and were greeted warmly. It was our first time they told us to take our time ordering and to check their specials advertised on the board right outside. The food was prepared after we placed our order and brought to us at our table. The service was great, the server went back a few times to grab condiments for us each time being pleasant. The food was delicious. The salad was fresh, crisp, quality ingredients and the flavors were spot on! The fries crisp even after 30 minutes of eating my salad. You don't want to come off like a dunce. (Maybe that's the upside to on-line ordering... just click on the item you want, no need to speak.) The pressure was too much for me - so instead I opted for the falafel sandwich. Maybe a bit heavy with the red onions, a bit stingy with the tzatziki and a bit 'bland' on the fries but otherwise... it was pretty solid. One kid got a chicken gyro but he wasn't impressed. (He's partial to The Halal Joint's in Lyndhurst.) Greek Town is a tiny hole in the wall. (A table or two, with a few chairs out front staged against the store front.) Parking in this part of Rutherford can be a nightmare. The gal behind the counter couldn't have been any sweeter. Decent pricing for a hefty portion. (While not my fave Mediterranean restaurant in the region - it's worth checking out.) read more

Did the owners change here? My platter tonight was disappointing. The meat used to be thick (wide) slices and juicy. Tonight's gyro was dry, shriveled, and small, with not much flavor. Had I known the fries had changed too,I definitely wouldn't have gotten them and opted for the potatoes in hopes they were better. They were like frozen potatoes but worse, not even salt on them. So sad, I threw them out. Might consider driving out a little further to get greek next time if this is the only option. read more

I have only positive things to say about this small, clean place in downtown Rutherford. Gyros here are delicious and loaded with meat. I have such a hard time holding the gyro in my hand that I usually resort to opening it on a plate and eating it with a fork! The avgolemono soup, spanakopita and dolmas are equally delicious. We chose this location about a month ago when we found our other favorite place holding a private party. Although the location is small, only 3-4 tables it worked for us. They do also have tables outside when the weather is nice. The service was on point. The waiter was friendly and helpful. We found the menu simple but packed with the basic Greek dishes everyone loves. Prices were very agreeable! We shared some amazing seasoned fries and each had a sandwich of some type. Nice little place. There are a couple of tables inside. We have been here twice within the last 6 weeks - went around 5pm on weekdays and have no issue getting a table inside. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro platter and my husband ordered the gyro sandwich with a side of fries. Platter was generous on the meat and the greek salad was great with nice hunks of feta. This gyro meat is exactly what I like and was delicious and comes with some nice pita slices and generous side of tzatziki sauce. New owners? Had to try it out! I love gyros, but I love a good meat platter even more. I've been seeing this place pop up on my feed and Instagram and I thought it can't be the same spot I had ordered from years ago. It definitely wasn't! With an interior makeover and a new friendly staff - this restaurant is now a new go to spot! We decided to go in and order since we were going to pick up some wine along the way too. Once we popped in, everyone was incredibly friendly and we took a few minutes with the menu since it was our first time. Finally - we decided on the appetizer of 4 dips combo and two meat platters. Oh and extra pita - get extra pita! It tastes like they make it themselves but it's a small space back there - wherever this magical pita is coming from, it's absolutely delicious and I'm happy I have access to it. The dips were great, I liked the feta dip the best, super creamy and tasty. My chicken souvlaki platter was to die for. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to perfection, not one chunk over or under cooked. That's a talent. My boyfriends platter was beef and lamb mix gyro and pork and he loved it. The rice was also super tasty mixed with some hot sauce. We also got some of their soup which was a nice touch. Creamy with hunks of real chicken breast. I also really loved the salad - vinaigrette was perfect and really enjoyed the feta. I also love their tzaziki sauce. It's really fresh and perfectly spiced. The girl who answered the phone was short and forgot about me on hold more than once but above all, the gyro is no longer shaved meat, its pieces of meat with fat. It's very disappointing. read more

Wanted to give this spot a try for lunch so I called in a couple of things. For myself I ordered the falafel sandwich with a side of fries. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby and walked in. The restaurant had a small indoor and outdoor dining area. The lady was still putting my order together and when she was done I paid and left. When I was able to see the food, they all looked great and smelled good. When I tried my falafel sandwich it was pretty good. I ate a majority of it until the falafel got a little too crumbly to eat the rest. The extra sauce for the sandwich was done at that point. The fries were a bit salty so didn't finish it all.
