Called on Monday for a Friday 6:3 reservation. Was first time to try this place. We arrived party of 4 thinking we'd be seated inside but was told all seats inside are taken. We had friends in from Alabama, so we took them to a couple of our favorite restaurants, one being Greek's. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which included a filet, 2 salmon, and shrimp. The Greek sangria was amazing. Our server checked on us several times, making sure our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed. The restaurant is always clean, well-lit and inviting. We are lucky to have this restaurant in our downtown area. read more

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Victoria!!! Everything is so fresh and flavorful, and well priced for portions. Side salad is mixed greens with tangy vinaigrette, somewhere between side and dinner portion in size if you ask me. I can't get past the tuna, but anxious to return and try the shrimp dish. We went home to visit my Daddy last weekend and ended up here on a Friday night with several friends. It was a first time for me and I was just looking forward to some drinks on a patio with good people. I has no idea I was about to have one of the best steaks I've ever had at a restaurant. My boyfriend and I split the tomahawk steak and it was EXCEPTIONAL! They cooked it a perfect medium rare. We are still talking about how good it was. I'm kind of glad we don't live there...I fell in love with their version of a mex martini...spicy, tart, and totally unique. I'd be there every day if I lived in V again. One star off for one of the waitresses we encountered who thought by closing her eyes we could not tell she rolled them. I perfected that move and she needs a little work mastering it. I travel for work and eat at 205 once a week when in town, which ranges from every week to every other. The steaks, tuna, pork chops, really anything grilled, are some of the best meat you will eat anywhere. Perfect on every count. They come with a nice salad and grilled veggies and yes mashed potatoes that are just ok. I skip them for extra veggies. It is a unique place... as one reviewer said... part dive bar, part patio bar, part restaurant, part funky gathering place. It is what you want to make it. And... it is not McDonald's and you are not getting fast food fast. If you are in a hurry or hate the people you are with, you came to the wrong place. It is not a New York City bar where the bartender creates drinks of renown. The owner is there to see everyone has a good time, not just you...which is great to me. I love the place. Service was above and beyond!!! We had the rib-eye, Tbone, patty melt and chicken tenders. The steaks were seasoned perfectly and cooked to our taste! Grilled veggies were equally delish! My son and his friend devoured their burgers and chicken. The house salad had a tangy & very tasty citrus vinaigrette. My husband enjoyed several of their on tap craft beers and I enjoyed a refreshing margarita on the rocks! Worth every penny and much better than the competition. They have an awesome patio and a full bar. This is the only place in town that I will have a martini. The owner is friendly and on hand to converse with his patrons. The food is delish but I wish that they would reinstate the full menu. They have live music on the weekends if that is your thing. The jukebox is older and the owner is famous for overriding your music, so save your money. Greek's has a laid back environment. You definitely feel as if you have stepped backwards in time. Management is brainless. Worst bar Experience. Not returning. I was part of a wedding party that all decided to attend 205 after the reception. Since there was so many wedding attendees going to the bar they made the poor decision to create a fabricated line out the front, to make the bar look cool. They told us they were 'at capacity!' Clearly they were not. This brainless idea of theirs backfired because we all knew each other and could with great certainty tell the bar was not full. The management was incompetent and rude. We all wanted to go to the bar to talk to each other, but half of our friends were not being let in! More people, more money, better business. It made no sense to keep people out of a empty bar. We could no long wait in their line or support a company that operates this way. My friends and I will not be returning. read more

Last night I had the grilled tuna. It was cooked perfectly, but my favorite part was the sauce. It was soy and ginger for sure, with a little heat. Don't know what else was in it. Last time I had the prime rib which was huge and also cooked to perfection. The only other meal I've had here is the patty melt which I really enjoyed. The appetizers are hit or miss. I do not recommend the cheese sticks. For happy hour one time they had wings and bacon. Both were awesome! One of my favorite things living in Victoria was enjoying a massive steak or an amazing salad at Greek's 205. Another favorite thing was listening to the Hot Attacks. I do understand the reviews for this restaurant now. It's like love/hate relationship. I will say they're tomahawk steaks is really really really good. I might even prefer to come here for it more in comparison to Taste of Texas, just because the waiting line at Texas is just ridiculous (3-4hrs). The salad was great too! Pretty big portions. However, I can understand bad review for the service. We waited a very very long time just to get a menu, then a long time for the drinks, which then they forgot one of them. The food was long but that was understandable as they did come halfway thru waiting to tell us its because of the tomahawk which takes at least 40 mins to make. They really ought to let us know when we ordered, so they don't sit there for like half an hour wondering if they forgot our order or something... This is why its a love/hate place. Would I go back? I would just for the tomahawk. It's that good. Plus, when you live in Victoria, there's not that many choices. However, we called a couple of times, hoping to take some visitors, but they seem to have issues in the "kitchen" for the tomahawk and therefore didn't have it on the menu, so we did not go there to eat. Been a few times. I'm over it. The owner seems childish or maybe eccentric to me (Maybe a bit of both). This bar does not pride itself on quality cocktails, only once I had a proper "Gimlet". I've been overcharged once. (Maybe an honest mistake)? Food is good, but choices are limited to what they decide to cook any given night, and it's pricey. Live music is nice when weather permits because it's always performed outside. Hot and humid most evenings. It's not a "Cocktail lounge" it's not a "Fine dining establishment", "Music venue", Wine bar, or a "Beer joint". What is it? I don't know! It Just doesn't really do it for me. As far as Victoria goes, this is the "go to" bar in town. It's new, it's nice, there's always a crowd and the music is great whether it be the live band on the patio or the jukebox in the bar area. The drinks are not always consistent during busy hours (any Wednesday through Saturday night after 10pm), but if you're a connoisseur of atmosphere this is the best in Victoria. They also serve dinner and late night snacks until 7. I recommend the panini, but everything is pretty delicious. If you're in town, check it out. read more
