The location, the amenities, the tranquility--everything is perfect! My husband and I came to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary, looking to disconnect and simply enjoy each other's company. This place has been absolute heaven. The bed is incredibly comfortable--I didn't want to get up this morning! The hammock is perfect for an afternoon nap or stargazing at night. We floated with them one of the days too and our get out was literally our front door. The bathroom was about half way down from the entrance and we were the second to last spot. The showers were by the entrance and you need quarters for the water to have some pressure. There are only two showers so the lines got pretty long at night when people were getting ready for bed. All the staff were so nice and helpful. They go around and pick up trash, deliver ice to your site when brought from their little store, and one lady took my tubes back to the front for me when she was picking up the trash. I'm already looking at dates to go again before it gets cold.

I asked if they provide a military discount since I am in fact a disabled veteran and his response was no. Then I asked if I can just pay for a daily pass since I was only going to be there that evening and half the day the next day being the 4th of July and his response was no I can only purchase a 3 day pass at $12 per adult. Well I ended having to pay $99.62 to gain access to this campground and if you do the math 2 adults at $12 a person for 3 days does not equal $99.62. This place is a scam and take advantage of disabled military veterans! I would give this place a negative number of stars if there was that option!

Sometimes there are various technical issues, and my cell service is weak out here, (that's a failing in my service provider, tho) and the highway intersection at the entrance can make it tricky to get in and out. But all that just adds to her charms! It's the bird song, the fireflies, the cool breezes, the feeling remote but having fairly easy access to all that is needed... and most of all it's the people. Deb and Dave have been nothing but friendly, responsive, and they work hard to continue to make improvements to this place, and to take care of issues in an expedient manner. And our neighbors? Our neighbors have been wonderful! We've not met a single person who hasn't just been full of smiles. We truly hate to leave Canyon Cove, but life is calling us in another direction... at least for now. We hope to be back in the not too distant future and resume life in this peaceful place! I moved here in May of 2023 and the problems started. The asphalt pads were terrible and cracking…read moredue to being installed incorrectly, so i wasn't able to ever keep my trailer level. The wifi was ifie at best, the water was shut off it felt like every other week for hours at a time and we would be told that it was the water company, but it wasn't always. The plumbing in the park wasn't installed correctly and so they had a ton of breaks. Marybell was the biggest issue and a terrible person to have to deal with. Kathy wasn't any better as a manager and I'm saying that the nicest way possible. The electric was priced way to high per kwt at .14 cents, only so the park could make money off of us, when they already were with our high rent. PEC only charges .10 cents a kwt, so they were way overpriced. The office would be closed for days at a time when Marybell would go out of town and Jennie, who only worked weekends and was amazing wouldn't be asked to work. The washers and dryers weren't maintained and were always broken, as was the coin machine. They didn't have ice most times and they advertised propane, and yet had no one to sell it. Marybell lived rent/electric free, as would her friends, but everyone else had to toe the line. When I left in August of 2024, I barely got my deposit back because Marybell hadn't read the meters right. Jennie was the best person in the office and should get a raise or promotion or both. If Kathy and Marybell were no longer there, I would move back in a heartbeat. I loved the location and Jennie.

I have to update my original review because it needs it…read more I have lived at this park for over 7 years and have seen people come and go. Since it was sold a year or two ago, the owners have had troubles with different staff working here. They haven't always been the best, I'm guessing that's why the turnover. Fast forward to this month and another new group in the office. I travel for work all but 4-5 weeks a year, so I'm rarely "home." I have now been introduced to Amanda. She is very communicative about anything happening within the park. I recently left for another assignment, and I had unexpected packages arrive. Amanda sent an email, and I had to let her know I was gone from the park until January. Her and I brainstormed a bit about these packages. I ended up creating 3 labels to have the items forwarded to me in Illinois. She was able to re-lable them and give me the opportunity to have UPS puck them up from the mail room. Most of the time, my old neighbors just grabbed my crap and put it in my trailer. But they moved into a house, and I travel with my trailer now, so this was a unique situation. Amanda handled it like a champ. No frustrations, just good customer service. The owners have FINALLY put someone in the office who will change the recent views on the previous staff. We had quite a tumultuous family RV trip (several mechanical issues) but the agency RV park was a…read morelovely counterbalance to our troubles. Stayed there with my parents for a few days - they even let us stay an extra night when our brake troubles made it so we couldn't make it for our first night. Solar powered strip lights on the site, a fire pit, picnic tables, and absurdly nice washrooms - complete with showers, new renovation and air conditioning - made this a lovely stay. We went biking on some nearby streets and easily could have made it to the nearby state park had we had time. The only downfall is we didn't have a cable hookups, but we managed to get channels anyway. The WiFi was solid most times to work remote but a bit difficult to stream or zoom over at a few points. Not my usual scene to be at an RV lark, but we had a few wild Mexican trim matches and enjoyed our stay.
