My wife and I spent a quiet New Year's Eve at Green Door on Broad in Brooksville, and it was the perfect way preparing to ring in 2026. As frequenters of their Dade City location Green Door on 8th, we were excited to see how this spot compared. I am happy to report that it maintains the same high standard while offering a unique charm of its own. The ambiance was cozy, providing an intimate and welcoming atmosphere that felt special for the holiday. Our server, Delaney, was outstanding. She was attentive, personable, and ensured that her timing was perfect throughout our dining experience. We started our evening with the smoked gouda, one of our favorite appetizers, and a round of their red sangria. The gouda was rich and flavorful, and the sangria was perfectly balanced--a great start to the meal. For our main courses, my wife ordered the shrimp and grits, which was prepared beautifully. My wife reported there was a definite spicy kick to the sauce. I opted for the evening's special, a bison ribeye served with "cowboy butter" and creamy mashed potatoes and smoked brussel sprouts as sides. The bison was cooked to perfection (medium rare), and the smokiness of the sprouts added a fantastic depth to the dish. We were too full to eat dessert at the table, so we took a slice of chocolate cake to-go. Whether you are a regular from Dade City or a Brooksville local, this location is a must-visit.

We are here on a Saturday night. We arrived about 5:15 pm and were able to sit at the bar. I recommend making a reservation because it is a smaller restaurant and almost full when we arrived. We started with the crawfish ettouffee and it was delicious. It had a nice spice and portion of crawfish in it. The blackened curry grouper was excellent. It too was spicy but the sauce was flavorful and also had a nice serving of spinach. The andouille catfish was a nice portion of fish and cooked well but the grits weren't very hot and the dish was on the bland side. We wouldn't order that dish again. The service was great, it didn't take too long to get the food. The inside is nicely decorated. A great date night location. We will be back to try other menu items.

What a beautiful addition to Brooksville. I loved the atmosphere. Sexy and cool vibe. Went on a Sunday for lunch. I'm a snowbird from New York. I was patiently waiting for them to open last year but didn't make the cut. Left before they opened. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is authentic. We were seated near the kitchen. It was pretty cool to see the chefs cooking. Can't wait to go back. Next time I want a cocktail.

A great evening out with Jessica as our server! She was wonderful, lots of knowledge about the menu and just super friendly and great service as well...ordered Meatloaf and Appetizer Shrimp and Roasted Potatoes..all came out hot and fresh..love the decor in here, very comfortable and inviting! We will be back, next it is Brunch for us!!!

My family and I showed up during Brooksville's Tangerine Festival. I heard Green Door had a Tangerine cake(while supplies last) just for this occasion. When finally seated the last slices of cake had gone. The owner assured me there was one more cake being delivered in about 15 minutes, so I sat with my family and we ordered a light lunch. I ordered the Smoked Gouda Cheese Wedges...where has this been all my life?!?! Creamy rich with orange blossom honey, and applewood smoked bacon just a killer combination! The caked showed, and it did not disappoint decadent and sweet, yet balanced by the tangerine citrus. The reason I came didn't disappoint and my family loved it as well. It was truly an awesome cake, so thank you so much! The service was great as well, very attentive on such a busy day, Chantel made it seem we were a priority. The feeling at the Green Door is inviting, while offering sense of exclusive indulgence without being over the top. Thank you everyone who made our first experience one to remember. We will be back!

Delish smoked Gouda and Jambalaya!! Nice environment and atmosphere. Only thing that could improve is allow for substitutions to specials if it's not mixed in meal, even if they allowed for an additional cost. I would recommend regardless!

Phenomenal food. I went in starving and had fried green tomatoes and the meatloaf and it was great! Ask the bartenders what to get, they steered me in the right direction.

We had a wonderful experience at Green Door on 8th in Brooksville! The atmosphere is cozy and charming -- a small, welcoming spot that makes you feel right at home. I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor -- definitely a dish I'd order again! We also ordered a burger which was great I heard (hahah). Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. One tip: it's a good idea to make a reservation. The restaurant is fairly small and it seems like the locals definitely know the drill. If you try to just walk in, you may end up waiting for a table. Great food, great service, and a really lovely little spot in Brooksville. We'll definitely be back.

Their locally made spirits are fantastic, and the cocktail menu is seriously impressive. The Astoria Bourbon cocktails are excellent, with everything from a classic Old Fashioned to some really creative options. The Ascend Vodka drinks are just as good, and the Jenkins Creek Gin cocktails are fresh, flavorful, and incredibly well crafted. You can tell they put real thought into the ingredients, presentation, and balance of every drink. We tried The Springs, and it was as fun as it was delicious. The presentation with the little duck was perfect! If you come to Marker 48 for the beer, absolutely take a look at the cocktail menu too. Having locally made bourbon, vodka, gin, and rum turned into cocktails this good makes this place something special. Definitely one of Brooksville's gems.

For an appetizer we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes. They were prepared just right keeping the tomatoes crisp and juicy. I would have preferred more Feta Cheese & Balsamic. DH said they were awesome. For my meal I had the bowl of Crawfish Etouffee. I'm not one for spice but I was able to enjoy this as the rice helped cut the spice. There was a plentiful amount of pieces of crawfish within the soup. I truly loved the mix of flavors & would get it again. The 2 pieces of bread were nothing special. DH ordered the Muffuletta. He was impressed with the amount of meat in the sandwich and said the flavors were good. He got it with a side of fries. The fries were cooked the way he likes with crispiness. We finished with the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. Fantastic & a must if you dine here. The bread had a candied edge and the flavors sent it over the top. Shout out to our server Jessica K. The decor is elegant, historic southern, yet has a modern touch, too- love the deep blue with the gold motif with just perfectly added pieces to make it feel like a southern home or an inn! The restaurant serves beer and wine, although no cocktails, but they do have a few sangria options- I had the white sangria. The service was excellent- our server was sweet as pie and everything was prompt and the courses were well timed by the kitchen. Everything was joyful to eat and cooked to perfection! We tried the shrimp appetizer (get it!!!) and we each picked something and shared amongst the table- each dish was too good not to share! Like I said- I can't wait to go back with even more friends and my family!
