Blackened coconut curry grouper
Danielle B.

We are here on a Saturday night. We arrived about 5:15 pm and were able to sit at the bar. I recommend making a reservation because it is a smaller restaurant and almost full when we arrived. We started with the crawfish ettouffee and it was delicious. It had a nice spice and portion of crawfish in it. The blackened curry grouper was excellent. It too was spicy but the sauce was flavorful and also had a nice serving of spinach. The andouille catfish was a nice portion of fish and cooked well but the grits weren't very hot and the dish was on the bland side. We wouldn't order that dish again. The service was great, it didn't take too long to get the food. The inside is nicely decorated. A great date night location. We will be back to try other menu items.

What a beautiful addition to Brooksville. I loved the atmosphere. Sexy and cool vibe. Went on a Sunday for lunch. I'm a snowbird from New York. I was patiently waiting for them to open last year but didn't make the cut. Left before they opened. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is authentic. We were seated near the kitchen. It was pretty cool to see the chefs cooking. Can't wait to go back. Next time I want a cocktail.

A great evening out with Jessica as our server! She was wonderful, lots of knowledge about the menu and just super friendly and great service as well...ordered Meatloaf and Appetizer Shrimp and Roasted Potatoes..all came out hot and fresh..love the decor in here, very comfortable and inviting! We will be back, next it is Brunch for us!!!

Delish smoked Gouda and Jambalaya!! Nice environment and atmosphere. Only thing that could improve is allow for substitutions to specials if it's not mixed in meal, even if they allowed for an additional cost. I would recommend regardless!

Phenomenal food. I went in starving and had fried green tomatoes and the meatloaf and it was great! Ask the bartenders what to get, they steered me in the right direction.

Burger & Fries

We had a wonderful experience at Green Door on 8th in Brooksville! The atmosphere is cozy and charming -- a small, welcoming spot that makes you feel right at home. I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor -- definitely a dish I'd order again! We also ordered a burger which was great I heard (hahah). Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. One tip: it's a good idea to make a reservation. The restaurant is fairly small and it seems like the locals definitely know the drill. If you try to just walk in, you may end up waiting for a table. Great food, great service, and a really lovely little spot in Brooksville. We'll definitely be back.

The crepes were absolutely delicious! The best bite was the banana jam on the banana Dream. The crepes weren't too sweet and had a lot of different textures from the toppings.

It's an old house that's been transformed into a restaurant and each room has a theme. Super tight and small private parking lot so recommend parking on the road. All parking is free. When we arrived it was around 11:40ish and the wait time was 1 hour! Yes we waited. I was starving. We got called around the 40 minute mark. Taken to our table and waited and waited and waited -- probably 20ish minutes later we got our order taken! Drinks came out and the ice was already lacking, you could tell it was melted. They were out of the butterfly tea. The regular iced tea I ordered unsweetened with a bit of sweet was bitter and very dark in color. Bleh. For food I ordered the Honey You Must Try This which is fried chicken, spinach, tomato, crispy onion straws, house made cream cheese and honey mustard on top. The crepe itself was good but there was nothing that set this place apart for me! It did need more dressing and I think they forgot my cream cheese because I didn't see or taste it. Took awhile for the food to come out. Overall we were there a little over 2 hours! Crazy! The place is crazy busy and I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or what but some improvements are needed. They need more shade in the front areas where they have benches and such for guests to wait. It's FL and the heat is no joke! The AC inside doesn't feel cold because so many people are inside and it's an old house. Staff and service is lacking. Not once did we get checked on during our time here. Actually if we needed something we had to get up and find someone or wait until they came to another table and flag them down. Decor is great and cute.
