Our server Maddie knew the entire menu and treated us fantastically. They added a gluten free and vegan menu. For Lil old homosassa....wow. the pierogis were delicious with perfectly roasted veggies. We also had the Mahi and wahoo fish dip. Some people did not enjoy it, but its a classic fish dip and I thought it was fresh. I had the chicken BLT and I loved it. Gourmet sandwhich. I tasted the parmesano shrimp and the fish. Holy Moly it was delicious, flakey and buttery. We definitely would recommend this. Its not a fancy place, its easy and casual but so delicious. Restaurant on the river with indoor and outdoor seating. New menu with a variety of great options. Healthy options, and better than other local restaurants, since they have fresh fish and not everything is deep fried. They have an entire gluten free menu and vegan menu, too! Service was awesome! Our waitress remembered all of our 7 orders perfectly by memory, and they also have a full bar. You can pull up on your boat, too. First off the service is very good. The location on the river is great and the outdoor seating is screened and covered. Now the nitty gritty. I had read the history of the restaurant prior to going, this was our second visit as the first was just ok. The history on the Internet states it's a veteran owned business. Food on first visit was decent nothing to write home about. The German potato cakes were very small and thin not hearty like I remember from being stationed in Germany. The smash burger was ok but not real warm. Second trip we went for dinner. Ordered two red wines both glasses were served in "Christmas" accent wine glasses, and both glasses of wine bad and tested like vinegar. No we didn't ask for new our mistake. My wife ordered pierogis and I ordered a ribeye medium rare. Pierogis were decent and hot but definitely not homemade. The ribeye came out cooked medium, in my opinion overdone. Ordered their key lime "famous pie" not really good actually tasted like a pie from Sysco. When we got our bill I asked if they had a military discount since the restaurant is veteran owned, waiter said no, I said that's odd since your owner is a veteran. He had no reply. Overall out of 10 I'd give it a 6. That is our last visit. read more

I asked about the smash burger. Was told by the server that they were receiving positive remarks. Well I didn't fine the smash burger to be that great or just good. No onions for one. And that is a must for me in smash burgers. I so needed something to eat and was disappointed I usually don't have an issue here. Hope this was just an off day. read more

Food was great, it came out very fast (it was very empty when we came though). Our waiter was very nice and even got our order without writing it down. In this sweet town, this waterfront restaurant is so good! The fish and chips were so so hot, tender and full of flavor, and the flat bread pizza was hot and really good too! Service was great! The view from the screened in dining area was so awesome, and the music was mellow and cool, this place is a must try in homosassa ! We loved the view, sitting on the patio and overlooking the beautiful Homosassa River. We visited on a sunny Saturday, and understandably, they were slammed. The service was slow, but we just enjoyed the view. My son got a double cheeseburger with fries -- the fries are the crispy, crunchy kind that probably come frozen from Gordon's, but they are tasty. His meal was $14.49, I think, a good value. I got the shrimp tacos. Three tacos with 2 shrimp each, I think, no side for $17.49 -- seems pricy for what we got, but they tasted okay. They had a pretty extensive drink menu with all the fun, pricy boat drinks -- this would probably be a good place for that. read more

We actually went twice. Once after a boat ride since we were hungry. I had the eggs/bacon wrapped in pastry which was very rich and hubby had pepperoni flatbread which he liked. The second time we went for dinner for convince- amped right across the street. Hubby had pork schnitzel and potato pancakes which he described as lukewarm, brown and tasteless. Mine was good but a very small portion of fish with pineapple salsa and yellow rice. We actually ordered an appetizer of smoked fish with crackers after since we were still hungry. The waterfront view is awesome and we enjoyed manatees and dolphins while sipping on redneck margharitas. I would give it a 3.5 but there is no such button. Staff was very nice. Wonderful little place by the water. Food is delicious and staff is so friendly and attentive. Even management is incredibly helpful... stoping by our table to tell us about the beef they order and from where. Steaks are PRIME, not choice. Even the burgers are top notch. Homosassa is chalked full of good spots, finding new ones like this is awesome. Veteran owned business First impression was very clean and the servers were attentive and polite. The water views are what you would expect for the area, Nice but not stunning. We started with the Fish dip and it was great a little salty which paired well with one of the local IPA's on draft. For the mains we got the Red Snapper 'from the grill' special and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. I could not resist trying the Bangers and Mash with Irish style sausages and Guinness gravy...yes please! This strikes me as a place that once you find it, you go often and never have a bad time. Well, you can't beat the location. It's right on the water with beautiful views, great ambience, service is wonderful & food is super delicious. We got steak, shepherds pie and the roasted veggies and wow it all tasted top notch! We topped it off with the Kahlúa cheesecake and the Keylime pie because we couldn't decide and they were both fantastic!! On Valentine's Day I took my wife, daughter and friend to Sea Grass located on the Homosassa river. The water view is one of the best in the area. Two of us ordered the Mediterranean pizza and two had the shrimp pasta. We enjoyed the Mediterranean pizza and the shrimp pasta. Although we felt like the shrimp pasta needed more pasta and less shrimp. As for our drinks I ordered a blue moon on tap and the rest ordered their signature mixed drinks. Seagrass Waterfront restaurant is a beautifully decorated restaurant situated on the waterfront just as the name implies. It's decor is all marine themed with lots of wood that makes you feel welcome and relaxed. The restaurant has two large outside dining options. A huge screened in porch with large fans and plenty of tables plus go out the door to a dining area right near the dock that has retractable canopies when the sun gets too hot. Both afford the most spectacular view of the inlet. Sitting looking out at all that beautiful water and watching boats of all kinds ride by is just priceless! Their service staff is warm and welcoming, efficient and professional. When we got there the manager actually seated us and welcomed us warmly. Our waitress was very good, promptly came over to us for our drink order and gave us time to look over their big menu. This restaurant attracts the tourist crowds with it's beautiful setting and abundance of alcoholic drinks - people who want to have a good time with friends and it's prices reflect that. Their food was good but I did expect a little more than average choices to match their decor and view. We started off with their fish dip. Made with Wahoo fish and another whitefish served with a lemon wedge and tortilla chips- so the menu stated. Our fish dip came out with the lemon wedge stuck right in the middle of the dip which I wasn't crazy about presentation just because my husband doesn't like lemon on his fish. It was also served with a nice portion of crispy, browned homemade potato chips!! A MUCH better choice than bagged tortilla chips! The dip and chips were the best part of our meal! The dip was tasty and had a slight bit of heat not noticeable at first until it hits the back of your tongue. Fish was mild tasting and plentiful in the dip. Very, very good! I ordered their Asian salad with grilled chicken breast. My salad had iceberg lettuce chunks, pineapple chunks, julienned carrots, chow mein noodles from a can, slivered almonds and a few sunflower seeds. The chicken breast looked like maybe 4 ounces of meat sliced thinly. If it touched a grill it was to gently kiss it goodbye. The chicken was tender and juicy, easily cut with a fork. The dressing was an dark, thick and very sweet Oriental dressing. I would have loved to seen some Napa Cabbage, bean sprouts, Edamame beans added to the mix. Get rid of those anemic looking chow mein noodles and replace them with chunks of fried ramen noodles. Switch up the dressing to something fresh and they would have a salad that would fit with their beautiful surroundings and $10.99 price!! My husband had a burger which looked good with a side of those glorious homemade potato chips. He said the burger was good - not great but good. Their fried selection of seafood looked good from what I could see as the waitress walked them by but were out of our spending budget for a lunch. Since it was our first time there we didn't know what to expect. Next time we will go for a date night and chose some of the more expensive items on the menu. A nice solid place to go to watch the sunset looking over a beautiful inlet of water eating seafood and drinking some beautiful looking cocktails, just make sure you plan for the cost of enjoyable dining!! read more

I really like this place. The food is hit or miss. The service is great. Here is what I don't understand and will keep in mind when deciding where to eat. They charge an ' inflation' fee of ten percent on your check. Not for a credit card fee ( which in many cases is BS as well ) So I don't mind paying $13 to $15 for a sandwich, but to add to that so they don't have to reprint a menu if their cost goes up is absolutely LUDICROUS. I've managed and worked at many restaurants and bars. I tip well over 20%. If every single customer is paying an additional 10% of their check they are clearly stealing and ripping off the public. Shameful. Bad business. Any smart person can do the math and figure out the blatant fraud that is going on here. read more

6 of us just had a great lunch and our waitress Mandy was awesome. Our fried shrimp was a little overcooked but didn't say anything like I usually do lol. Dad had the baked scallops, all drenched and drowned in butter, swimming in the casserole dish.... Hostess was also our server and apparently bartender.., what a hot mess experience that was....
