The gentlemen they sent out were very nice and did the best they could with what they had. The hoses on their machine kept breaking apart sending insulation EVERYWHERE. In the house, into the garage, into the car. what a mess. Time after time this happened. They spent more time cleaning up the mess then actually doing the job. I don't blame the gentlemen doing the job as they were sent out with faulty equipment. There is more to the appointment and I will have to finish in another post. He took before and after pictures of our attic. The inside temperature of our garage feels much better now. This is a small owner-operated business who knows how to take care of their customers. A couple even came by to look at the job site and make recommendations about the type of installation they thought I needed. After talking to four or five firms, Milton from Izzy's insulation reached out to me and made the most practical recommendation based on my unique situation. We ended up going with a blown in fiberglass insulation of R 38 and 13 inches. His price was the best by a few bucks, but I particularly liked his practical recommendations, and so ended up using him. He booked me out a week later and showed up exactly on time and had the job done in just a couple hours. He even provided me with before and after pictures that I can use when I submit my taxes for an energy tax credit. Very straightforward and honest service I recommend if you're looking for installation to talk to him at least. As it ended up the insulation did basically nothing to help with the temperature in my garage. If others are looking to do the same thing, I tell you to look at a combination of insulation for your ceiling, walls if needed, and the inside of your garage door these metal garage doors really radiate a lot of heat into the garage.

I compared all the options and chose blown‑in rockwool because 12 inches gives R‑49, compared to about R‑22 with spray foam. Both crews were great. The demo crew cleared out the old insulation and prepped the attic. The install crew put in the radiant barrier and the rockwool. They were tough, trustworthy, and respectful of my home. They kept the dust down, protected everything inside, and cleaned up afterward. They did solid work and I'd hire them again without hesitation.
