We stopped in hoping for a mom and pop type diner. Nice atmosphere, clean and very quick service. Our waitress was very polite, helpful and quick. They misadverties ordered a a full rack rib special the rubs was no longer then a butter knife an only half as wide as the lenth the butterknife. Not even a full rack on a baby pig for 22.95. Got the smothered chicken advertised with 2 chicken breast the give you 1 thin chicken breast cute in 2 peices. The baked Mac and cheese was spoiled. Use to be a great place to eat. You can't stay good being dishonest. The waitress was really sweet. The did remove the rib cost from the bill. I feel if you advertise something on the menu that's what you should get. read more

In town for a wedding was looking for a breakfast spot the next day before traveling home. The Green Leaf was just what we were looking for. I had the biskets sausage gravey and eggs and it hit the spot. Also tried the pancakes and they were good too. Would definitely recommend if looking for quality breakfast when in the area. read more

Green Leaf has solid diner food and some good options for a more traditional dinner. Very solid breakfast too. Great lunch spot. Convenient location. Sufficient parking. The restaurant has good service - especially at lunch. The lunch team has worked together and it shows. Around noon, one can get a salad, a sandwich with fries, a drink and a refill in under 10 minutes even when it is busy - which it is often. Green Leaf has very reasonable pricing. It will not kill one's wallet. Green Leaf has antiquated, bland decor. Nonetheless, staff stays on top of keeping the restaurant clean. They have a fish tank with tropical fish that kids love. Quick, friendly, predictable and inexpensive - Green Leaf works for me! read more

This a classic old school family restaurant that's been a staple of Wooster for a long time. Chances are you may have to wait for a seat but it's worth the wait! Their classic chippy sandwich is one of my favorites along with their steak, bacon, and swiss sandwich, and their patty melt. Plus if you're hungry for dessert, their pies are amazing! I just have to ask when Greenleaf became an Italian Restaurant? In an article in News it is listed as one of the top four in Wooster. Greenleaf is a good family restaurant with maybe spaghetti on the menu. Burgers and fries including milk shake. A good generic dinner menu and breakfast. But if you're looking for Italian Broken Rocks, even Farmer Boy . Maybe they met the Leaf. The Greenleaf is good as it is. I was in Wooster when it started. read more

Stopped in here for dinner with our family in July. They had signs up and adjusted for COVID to keep everyone safe. We had a very pleasant young lady for our server. They weren't very busy but were quick with everything which was great because we were starving! We all got something different and we were all pretty pleased with the food. Some thing seemed not so fresh and maybe was sitting there but overall it was pretty Good. We did have to ask for fresh fries for the kids because they were cold and gross. They brought a ton more and it was just a little warmer. I probably wouldn't recommend ordering French fries here lol. Still it was a decent meal with great service! We never once had to wait for a refill. We sat in the front dining room across from the counter. Things are dated a bit as far as decor but it's a blast from the past at the same time. I would recommend stopping in here and grabbing a bite but better yet stop and try the drive in. It's a true 50s blast from the past leaving a unique experience like no other. read more

This is an icon in Wooster Ohio. It is a drive in that still has car side service which is super nostalgic. The service was fast and friendly, green leaf is known for the burger and burger sauce. I had a patty melt and it was delish. Definitely recommend for a quick bite to eat. read more

My two most recent visits included orders for the ham and cheese sandwich on a croissant with added lettuce, tomato, and mayo, a side order of the battered mushrooms, and a sweet tea. My hotdog and vegetable soup was good....and that was about it. Spaghetti and meatballs taste like they just opened a can of sauce and dumped it on. Little to no flavor. Macaroni salad had sat in the case with Saran Wrap on it... needed to be mixed up to look fresh before serving, but that didn't happen. I'm a Wooster girl. I great up eating at Green Leaf it will always have a little space in my heart. Their Chippy is delicious and I love their Patty Melt. It's just good local food. Nothing too fancy, if you're looking for a culinary delight that will blow your mind, this isn't it. It is a good inexpensive local restaurant. Great for families. They have a huge after church crowd on Sundays. If you go - do yourself a favor and get a piece of peanut butter pie, ask your waitress to add hot fudge. You will not regret it. It's amazing. The only complaint I ever have is I think their water (and pop) tastes a little funny. It might be their water filter or the Wooster water, I don't know. Just isn't too good. One of the best places in Wooster for breakfast. You are going to get a lot of great food and not spend a lot of money. My grandmother and I used to be regulars at this place before she passed. They make a great western omelet and home fries are cut fresh daily. The coffee is your standard breakfast joint fare, but your cup will never get empty. The Green Leaf is also a great place for dessert; their pies are all homemade. Don't come late for breakfast, or you'll get lunch. read more
