2nd time here...friendly staff, great mix of traditional Korean and Korean/American food, good vibes...we ate, drank and sang the night away...this is the place to go for guaranteed fun!

This is the best place to celebrate any type of party, I had birthday party here, If you want to have a birthday party in Chicago, you need to come here, foods are good and employees are extremely friendly, especially Liz and woody! I will definitely come back soon!!!

I was craving Korean spicy squid for dinner at 10pm after work, and Green Light pub came up on my search. I ordered a few other dishes too, spicy pork belly, chicken gizzard, and spicy chicken. Everything was delicious and well prepared. On top of that, the portions were generous! I'm very delighted to have found a late night spot for take away (only on Thurs/Friday/Saturday) near the abode. It did feel a bit odd to be ordering take away from a Karaoke bar so late on a Friday night, but the servers / owners did not make feel weird at all. They were super welcoming and I am very intrigued to come back to host parties here!

Came to this Karaoke Bar for the food & some drinks. The food was actually pretty good! We got seafood pancake, pork belly, kimchi fried rice (not pictured), & kimchi cheese tater tots (not pictured). The drinks we got we bottle of soju ($20), midori sour ($8), & greenlight (house special $8). The best food was the seafood pancake, nice balance of the green onion & seafood. We ate that so fast. The portions are shareable or standalone depending how hungry you are. The only food I was slightly disappointed in was the cheesy kimchi tater tots just because they used nacho cheese & not melted mozzarella like they do with most korean foods. We shared the food & drinks among 4 people & total was $110. I say good pricing since the food filled us up & the drinks were tasty.

Hands down the best Karaoke experience we've ever had thanks to Liz and Woody. Absolutely amazing customer service and they brought the vibes. We rented out a large room and they were kind enough to let me bring decorations and my own cake. The food was mind blowingly delicious and the drinks were amazing Strawberry Sochu is a must The large "OB" beer is like the perfect Golden Ale. Spoiler alert: you can do shots with your friends that have full on pyrotechnics and it's so fun and memorable. The bar had a bunch of regulars just chilling and you can tell that they come back because of how fun the staff makes it. We will definitely be back and I can't wait to show all my friends who come to visit. So thankful to have found this place

I don't know how to briefly describe this place except that it's weird (good weird) and the staff are really friendly. My wife took me to Green Light for a surprise birthday night out. When we arrived, I decided "This place looks sketchy as hell," from the outside. Inside was a different story -- right at the entrance there's a bar, a small eating area, and walls of televisions playing nonstop K-pop videos. We first had dinner: * Pineapple soju cocktail (pretty good) * Beef japchae (looked iffy, but it tasted great) * Fish egg soup (which is just what it sounds like; fish eggs in hot soup) * Chicken wings (extremely sweet, which we normally don't like, but the way they prepared it was yummy) We enjoyed dinner, but I'd point out this place is not really a restaurant. It's a karaoke bar that happens to have a few chairs you can sit in to eat. On the other hand, their chef is quite skilled, so.. After dinner, we sang and drank more booze. Song selection (English and Chinese) is average. If you've been to other Korean karaoke bars before, the keypad and the rest of the experience are pretty standard. Acceptable. Again, staff are pleasantly friendly. The crowd here seemed to be mostly American, and half of them seemed to be regulars (who knew the bartender). Maybe a good place to visit if you want an unusual night out.

The past three times I've come into town, I've stopped at Green Light Karaoke to finish off my nights and each and everytime, I've enjoyed myself so much that in the blink of an eye - it's 2 AM. The service staff is so nice, welcoming and inviting. Liz is my girl!! She takes such good care of us, making sure we had everything we needed from food, to drinks, to different music. I would go back for her alone! I have been to a couple of other karaoke places in town and this one is really the homiest. The rooms are large enough for bigger groups, but they also feel so personal, cozy and intimate. The food was also insanely good. I got the samgyeopsal and chicken and they were A+++ This place is a new favorite and I'd be surprised if I didn't go back tonight!

I am most thankful to yelp for helping me out in finding this gem! I should have done a better job at planning my cousin's bachelorette outing but it all worked out. The usual place I have gone for karaoke on the North Side was full until after midnight so I found this on yelp and called to ask about fitting about 10 of us at around 10pm. I regret not getting the young man's name on the phone or the girl server's name to pay them my compliments for their service. They really did accommodate our requests each step of the way. Once they found out it was my cousin's bachelorette, they brought her a drink and even brought us bachelorette type of card games. Very thoughtful. The place looks quite unassuming from the outside but their rooms are very well spaced from each other and they were very helpful in teaching us how to work the karaoke controls. Parking was not an issue as majority of us parked right in front. I will surely be back for karaoke and would love to try the food as it looked quite delicious as we walked past the bar/dining area. There was no minimum time required or minimum number of drinks which I think was a plus.

    What's parking like?

    Street Parking is available.

Are children allowed there like under 18?

It is a pub/bar scene, but they do have private rooms. It may be best to leave the babies at home but older teens should be fine for the private rooms. I say call them and ask.

    Do you have Vietnamese songs?

They do! Some of them need to be searched up via the machine and not in the catalog, but they do have the BEST selection in the city. (ex. Mỹ Tâm's Ước Gì wasn't in the catalog, but I found it in the machine.

    Do you have Russian songs?

We have a few Russian songs Thank you

How up to date is the song selection? Would Ariana Grande's songs from 2018 or 2019 be on here?

    Yes!

    Is it 21+?

The mushroom and kale pie was nice and cheesy and the rocking vegan pie was more savoury, with a variety of vegetables and chickpeas as stuffing. The crust was neither too soft nor too crunchy. The highlight of the meal was the curry chips: potato wedges lightly fried with masala and curry leaves. The dipping sauce that came with the chips reminded me of tikka masala sauce, and paired beautifully with the chips. Dessert was toffee pudding: the caramel sauce that came with the pudding was delectable - the pudding itself was excellent and not overly sweet. We tried a variety of NA beers, and I was pleased with how many options they had. Service was quick, and we were well looked after. The ambiance is warm, with dim-ish lighting and a lot of dark wood. The restrooms were gorgeous - special shoutout to the lovely floral wallpaper. Overall, I highly recommend Pleasant House - the vibe is chill and understated and the food is stellar.

The sausage was very tasty, the breading on the outside was incredibly crisp, light, and the egg inside was cooked well. Both the steak pie and the chicken pie were very good. The chicken pie I think really needed the chutney that you can get separately. But that made it so much better and made it my preferred pie. The steak and ale pie was better than the chicken pie as a standalone, but needed a bit more gravy I think to elevate it. Sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Surprisingly light, not overly dense so I was glad it came with the custard which was very flavorful. Overall, will definitely return!

The decor looks historic with dark wood walls, beautiful molding, and of course antique sports memorabilia. It is in Chicago after all!! The menu items that were highlighted was the prime rib, while supplies last and the ribs. I tried to go with the prime rib but at 7:30 it was sold out. The bartenders suggested the French dip sandwich with shaved prime rib but went with the ribs instead. Smoked daily the ribs were tender and moist with a very sweet homemade BBQ sauce. I prefer my sauce on the spicy side but it was delicious, the shrimp were fried and crispy, served with fresh cocktail sauce. I opted for the fries and side salad but were good. The Greek vinaigrette dressing was delicious. The bartender was super engaging and knowledgeable. I hat his signature Ole Fashion and a glass of cab from their list. Our only one issue is the waiter told us the lamb chop special was gone so my husband ordered the pork chops but what was served were lamb chops. He ate them so we didn't say anything to the waiter but it was strange because the bill listed lamb chops not pork chops. Maybe they weren't gone after all? Over all I'll be keeping Miller's Pub in mind when we need somewhere to go for dinner or lunch and don't necessarily want fast food or the latest hot restaurant.

Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. It's located at the intersection of Jackson and Wabash close to lots of fun. The brewery has food that's better than expected but many other things about this kind of stuff are typical.

Pro Tip: if you can tolerate a large quantity of fish, visit on a Wednesday for their AYCE Fish & Chips. I've had many hum drum AYCE dinners that are drab and only fill you up. Not this one. It's a great meal and a great deal. The Shepherd's Pie was fabulous, as was the Bangers and Mash. They've created a Haggis Burger that has to appease Americans, yet, still be haggis. A tall order since most would hate "true" haggis. Fear not, it's not your grandfather's haggis, it is a tasty burger. The fries were great but I'd recommend the Tattie Skins. We tasted so many different malts it was hard to pick a favourite. No foolin' they had island malts, highland malts, speyside and even a couple from the lowlands. Easy to spend over two hours in this public house. We did. Can't wait to get back to this town. This is a must! 02/26
