We had GreenLite Windows & Door provide an estimate to replace 3 French doors in our home. Our unique qualification is to have doors which include the mini blinds embedded between the windows. After reviewing our options, we decided to replace one of the doors with a sliding door vs. a French Door as the cost was considerably less. Today we had one door installed to see how we like it and we are pleased with the final product. Roger was the sales person and he was both professional and very knowledgeable. The installers today explained what they'd be doing and explained how to operate the door and the mini blinds- also very professional. As per Yelps rating system, I'm leaving a 2 star review! As it "could've been better". I had reached out for a quote, to replace 18 days. I live in a new community, and the doors that providers often provide are hallow, and basic in terms of looks. So I reached out to Green Lite Windows based on their reviews, and some reviews mentioning reasonable rates. I didn't need new frames, simply replacement doors. The sales rep quoted me an approx estimate of $950 per door. That's ridiculous and totally not what a company like Green Lite should be quoting or charging people. What a rip off. The sales rep called back, without my initiation, after about 30 minutes (from when I told him i'd hold out from the project) bringing the price magically down to $650 per solid door, or down to $450 per hallow door. Still absurd pricing for just a door, that isn't painted... let alone in the QTY I needed. I ended up buying the doors from a local door & trim shop, for under $250 per door, solid, and this includes the hinge routing and door knob routing. These doors are modern, and directly obtain from ABS (which is the main distributor for most if not all these companies). IN SHORT: Be very weary about their pricing, and do your shopping! WHAT'S CRAZY: Green Lite's "about us" on their website, totally doesn't seem true. Best of luck! read more

I was looking for a big patio door. I've found that when getting quotes the company that knows they're making the first bid goes high. Why? Because they hope you're lazy and say, okay, I'll do that. That company's bid led me to -- -- Green Lite. They offered me a similar door but with a no-name brand. SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper, by about two thousand. So I learned this no-name brand made them locally in California. I went to see the doors in person and kinda felt MEH about them. That's when I found out what Green Lite was charging me for installation, which was about $1500. So at that factory I decided to upgrade to a nicer door. Now please understand something. A framed door is a framed door. It's like the frame of painting. If you have a velvet clown in one frame and a Picasso in the other, the fee someone charges you to 'hang' the exact same frame should be identical. Green Lite saw I was willing to pay more for a better door and so they decided to charge me about $5000 to install it. Remember, no matter what the vendor may say in response, it's the EXACT SAME INSTALL JOB. Why the increase? Maybe my address. Maybe Covid gauging. Probably both. This vendor taught me to tell all followup vendors that if they dare charge me for my address I'll be gone in the blink of an eye. Which is just what I did here. read more

We had a great experience with Green Lite. Our home had original single pane windows from when it was built in 1973. Leaky, drafty, gross. Our new-to-us home would be grateful for the facelift. Mark is the salesman who came to walk us through the product we were interested in. He was professional, to the point, and didn't reek of "salesman". We didn't feel that gross feeling you can get from the door-to-door guy or a car dealership. This was the first quote we received and we only ended up getting one other quote because we felt confident in hiring Green Lite after meeting Mark. On installation day, two men installed everything in one day, and that included tearing down an existing window and turning it into a giant slider. We love it. They installed trim that looks really nice too, not some cheap and quick product. The only complaint I had was that the man at the office in charge of scheduling didn't call me to tell me they were coming to do the official measurements. I had two strange (and a bit rough looking) men on my doorstep. The only reason I answered was because I noticed the logo on the T-shirt through my peephole. Otherwise, I would never have opened my door for the bunch. They're very nice guys, but nowadays you really can't open your door in SoCal for just anyone. We would definitely recommend using Green Lite! We plan to use them once we are ready to replace our front door. read more

First off I hope people can find this company on Yelp. I had done so many searches on here to write this review and could not find it. I'm not sure how I found them in the first place. Must have been an add or commercial. I had to go to there webpage and click on the Yelp symbol from there. I was wanting to replace every door in my house. The exterior doors were getting drafty and my Interior doors were flat plane doors. I wanted panel doors. I looked all around and could not believe how much everyone wanted to charge for doors. Most of all I could not find anyone to install interior doors. No one. Some how I came across Greenlight Windows and doors. I liked there review on Yelp so I gave them a call. I am so glad I did. Roger the sales rep came to my house and gave me a quote. It was ridiculous, in a good way. I could not believe the price they gave me. Seriously, I thought it was too good to be true. I had my doubts. I messaged ten people that gave Yelp reviews and asked about the company and if they installed good doors and such. They all said they were very happy with the quality of there doors, installation and the whole nine yards. I even went to another door company to look at the doors they were going to install cause they didn't have any samples for me to look at. They are decent doors. Not saying they are the best doors but the are definitely good doors. I had one entry door, one utility door with a window and doggy door, a fire door for the garage and seven interior doors. Josh always kept us up to date on the status of the order. It took a while to get the door we wanted due to supply chain issues but we were not in a rush and could wait. When installation time came in he coordinated a install date with us and worked without our schedule. My initial meeting with Roger was pleasing and it was very easy to discuss and overview with Roger what we wanted for our new Windows. I decided to use Green Lite Windows and Doors because they did windows for my sister and also I really loved their sales person, Roger. I had a lot of strange quotes from other companies, and a really rude one from another company where the sales person basicslly chucked a sample window at me so I could feel the heaviness of the material. It was a really nice change to meet a very friendly sales rep who answered all of my questions and walked me through the process very quickly. They were able to give me a very fair price and get the customized things I wanted, especially internal blinds. I replaced all windows in my home, my sliding glass patio door and my front and back doors. First and foremost, I want to say that the craftsmanship of the installers is impeccable. They used very quality materials and are perfectionists. The installers were very accommodating of my house being in total remodel chaos and having other contractors doing work. They were also accommodating of me having little space to move things with half of my kitchen cabinets in boxes all over the place and helped me move things. There was an issue with a door having a small crack in it, but they were upfront and pointed it out to me and this company stood by their work and replaced and rehung it for me. They also made sure I got a screen the manufacturer forgot to send. I saw in other reviews that there were some complaints about the install price, but you get what you pay for and the installation work they did for me was impeccable. It's now almost 90 degrees outside and I'm comfortable in my home with no ac on. I did buy dissimilar glass and UV coated windows. My craftsman door is absolutely stunning and everything has been completely weather proofed. This was money well spent for me and a lifetime investment in my home. I got my doors installed a month and a half ago. The very next day I noticed the door had a large gap at the bottom and gave play pretty badly allowing hot air to come in. I informed Josh about the situation and immediately he placed a service request in to the manufacturer. Instead of coming out and looking at the problem I waited a week just to receive a call from the manufacturer who is not nice at all. They came out a week later to tell me they had to replace all the hinges and made my door worse to where it was hard to close. Once he placed it back to where it had a gap I had to wait another two weeks for them to come back out. The manufacturer and Josh are just blaming each other and I keep explaining that I need a new door as they messed up and Im still here with a messed up door. The manufacturer changed the hinges and still the door is bad. Josh is nice but nice does not cut it when the situation is not being handled and they are not contacting me back. Its been weeks and no answer or call. I will have to go the next route if not handled soon. read more

These guys earned every single star, and if it was possible, more stars. First, the sales rep Mark was amazing to work with. He didnt seem pushy or didnt try to upsell us on anything, really just was attentive to what we were interested in having done. He had to text josh a few times to find out prices for us and josh was almost instant in his responses. Honestly, we had to more quotes set up after GreenLite but, both my wife and I, were ready to go with Greenlite because of how Mark made us feel about their abilities and their pricing. Mark helped us set up financing with a few swipes of his iPad and we were good to go. I really cant say enough good things about Mark, he truly is an asset to their team (it doesnt hurt that Mark and I are both Veterans so it was nice to have that in common with him off the bat). On the day that they installed the windows Matt and Rick showed up for the install and were very courteous especially since my wife had just had a baby and was with the baby the whole time. The work they did was simply amazing, and they worked so fast and efficiently but they were also so personable. They probably would have gotten the work done faster if i wasnt talking to them the whole time, hehe. When you have someone in your house all day doing improvements, it really helps to make the customer comfortable when they are personable. Both Matt and Rick were just that! They both made the experience so comfortable all the while doing a great job with the windows and the cut down for our new back door slider.
