No actual quiet hours, kids screaming all night. Unfriendly staff. Would not recommend to a friend or come back.

When we noticed an opening, we asked nearby drivers if we could squeeze in, and they had no issue with it. As we were parking, an employee approached us in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner and told us we could not park there. We apologized and explained that we were not from the area and had not seen any signs. We were told that the rule was "well known to locals" and that a sign existed at the front of the line--more than 25 cars ahead, making it impossible for us to see. Despite the surrounding drivers having no objection, the employee demanded we leave and became increasingly hostile when we asked questions or requested a manager. At that point, the interaction escalated unnecessarily, and we decided it wasn't worth the confrontation and left. I've never experienced such a level of rudeness from a staff member over an honest misunderstanding. Clear signage and more professional communication would have avoided the entire situation. Someone even yelled out "stop being a parking nazi". I would have otherwise liked to review the venue itself, but we were unable to do so as we never made it inside.

There is a parking lot and we were able to find parking but I'm sure it gets full at peak times. We enjoyed the hike and the waterfalls. It was in late May so there were quite a few people there. It's a peaceful spot to relax, sit in the pool, and just enjoy nature. I'm glad my family and I got to visit during this trip!

We went later in the afternoon so parking was ample. A short walk leads you to the picnic area and lake. It's about a 1 mile hike around the lake. The water was clear and cold. There were lots of mosquitoes at that hour. We enjoyed seeing the tadpoles in the water. My family enjoyed our time there and can't wait to go back to this picturesque spot!

They do have a large parking lot, but it seems to fill very quickly. The beach is very family oriented. You can rent canoes. You can rent kayaks. You can rent paddle boats. The fees are very reasonable. They have tubes. You can also purchase for a small fee of six dollars. The beach was not overcrowded. They have many hiking trails and areas around that area as well. They have charcoal grills that you can use up off the beach with some grassy area that you could also camp at. There is also a bathhouse there that's open as well as a small store There are no lifeguards it's a swim at your own risk Very very clean

Our…read morethree grandchildren (twins age 9, and 14 year old) all immensely loved everything (except one was anxious about the roller coaster--so each of us adults took turns sitting out a turn with her. For me, the Polar steel coaster was too small and I didn't have enough leg room so knee hit the seat in front of me, then that padded bar punched me in the gut at the end. But the wooden coaster made up for that! I had much more leg room and the bar that holds you in was much bigger and didn't punch. Whew! I will say that overall the wooden coaster was more fun, though it does jerk you around more side-to-side. (I had really been looking forward to both coasters and the water rides!) The bamboo log type flume water ride was probably my favorite. I wasn't expecting that, but could have done it twice (and I'm 64)! The gentleman working the ride graciously helped me in/out of the "log" as it is moving the whole time and your feet get wet too, so it is tricky getting out. I thanked him a lot! I appreciated that Story Land provided free cubbies at each ride so we could stow eyewear and dry clothes etc. in totes/backpacks we brought along because no way would you take those on the rides. Many people brought a wagon with them and next time, we'll do that. I took a small canvas tote with a dry change of clothes, towel, and water shoes. I bought one drink and kept the cup to refill with water. I bought our whole family lunch and it was about what we spend at a full service restaurant ($150 for 7). All in we had an amazing day and I was exhausted by the end. All three granddaughters had a blast! And that's what counts. The beautiful memories.

Cranmore delivered just that and more. Lots of greens and blues where I could work on my skills, try trails with escalating difficulty, and still kick back when I just want to enjoy myself and not be a ball of nerves. I also enjoyed the length and variety of their many trails I could traverse. Was happy to have more options than just a quick up and down in a straight line over a full day of skiing. Their main lift was quick and skiers were able to load efficiently. Lots to look at on the way up. The day of my last visit there were several ski competitions going on just next to the lift so it was fun to watch people competing and see spectators make the trek up to watch as well. Ski patrol were out and about and lots of staff available to check in with as needed. The lodge itself had everything I needed... free cubbies to store your stuff, bench seating to change into your boots, adequate table space both up and downstairs to grab a bite to eat, indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces to huddle by, a bar and hot foods, and best of all... a bathroom at the same level as where you can ski up to so no having to navigate stairs in clunky footwear. Drop off area for skis, quick in and out to purchase tickets, simple walk over to a very large parking area. I can't wait to return when the opportunity arises!

The mountain coaster was the best part, and we only waited a max of 5 min in line, and ended up riding it 6 times. There was a longer line for the Soaring Eagle zipline and Swing, only because they can only hold a few people at a time. The chair lift had nice views. The trampoline was entertaining, but kinda one note. The inflatable obstacle courses were both scalding hot in the sun and had puddles from rain the night before, so my kids didn't like those. I'd recommend Cranmore Adventure Park for 2-3 hours of fun.

Overall a great place to rent gear while at Lake Umbagog!…read more I'll be honest there was a staff misunderstanding/snafu that could have ended up being a really sour spot in our weekend, but the owner Thomas was amazing about going out of his way to fix things. The boat was in great condition, lifejackets were new, and the location of the shop was great for exploring and putting in. One thing to note, they apparently have spots on the lake that you can rent to camp at? Also their boats are cheaper than those at the state park, so maybe next year we'll go directly with NW for everything. Thanks again Thomas :) Jen

Once we got into the water with no instructor, the only instructions we were given was to follow the same path we took for rafting and swish towards the right after the bridge. We also were told not to get out of our tube. The experience was normal, but nothing really special, when we were tubing once we passed the bridge we tried to steer right, but nothing was happening due to the strong currents. When we were approaching the time where we're supposed to get out of the tube nothing changed. This led to me and my family having to evacuate our tubes and caused us to hit our feet on the shallow sharp rocks in the waters. It was painful and I don't recommend to anyone. We had to get out of our tubes, drag our tubes with us to the shore while hitting sharp rocks and it was not fun. Overall, the rafting was normal and expected, but the tubing was not fun and I recommended they have an instructor or staff help navigate the strong dangerous waters to prevent any accidents.

We stopped by the next morning to schedule our ride for later in the day - no one was at the office. We came back a little later in the morning to be greeted by a rude woman that seemed like she just really didn't want to deal with us. We scheduled our ride for 2 hours later and asked her if she could recommend a good place close by and her response was there are things just down the street in downtown. When we got back the horses weren't ready for us yet and they didn't acknowledge us. This was my first time riding and they didn't tell me anything at first. They just had me get on and wait. I was nervous just about getting on. The trail is really boring with not much to see. You go up the mountain and then back down ... it was pretty rough on the way up and down on the trails so you couldn't even enjoy it. And going up the mountain that was steep at times for a first time person they didn't really give me much instruction. It came to a point where she had to tie my horse to hers and made it well known she wasn't happy about this. This should've been a great experience seeing as it was just my fiance and me but it was terrible. For $100 for the two of us I expected more.
