I can't say enough about how Dr.Melania made an extremely sad and difficult situation feel peaceful and calming. My sweet little cat Boobo passed to the rainbow bridge while I held him in my arms . Boobo gave me 17 years of unconditional love and I feel so blessed and grateful to have had every minute I had with him I'm so grateful to Dr. Melania for being there for both of us and helping us through this journey with care, compassion, understanding and empathy .

I want to sincerely thank Green Meadows Veterinary Care, especially Dr. Melania Tahmasian, for the compassion, empathy, and support she showed us during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can face. Saying goodbye to a beloved furry family member is heartbreaking, and her kindness, patience, and clear communication meant more to us than words can express. She created a safe and comforting space from start to finish and helped make such a painful experience feel peaceful and gentle for our loved one. We are deeply grateful and cannot recommend her highly enough.

My sweet beautiful Daniel. Rest well. Thank you Green Meadows for making this a stress free progress.

I, like everyone else here, had a wonderful and beautiful experience with Melania and my sweet beautiful baby Daniel. After a very long life he needed help getting out and this program was everything I hoped for. From the extreme compassion everyone on the phone gave me, to the kindness Melania showed my sweet son, it was truly the euthanasia you always hope for. She was great at explaining to me and including my family that was on FaceTime, she was extremely respectful of my witchy business and the things I wanted to do for him before he passed, and even helped encourage him to go look for his brother as he passed. I could not have asked for a smoother experience- he passed away purring and that's always what you wish for as a pet owner. Thank you for giving me the closure I needed, and for taking such good care of my boy in the next week as he moves into the afterlife.

    Yogi and his sister, Lilly

I cannot recommend Dr. Melania highly enough for home euthanasia. It was a very difficult decision for me as to when to place my beloved Yogi to rest. Dr. Melania allowed me the time I needed to book the appointment. When I panicked the day of Yogi's departure, she gave me gentle reassurance and zero pressure. She took time to say hello to my boy and hear a few stories about him. When the time came to prepare, Dr. Melania talked me (and my friends who were there with me) through everything. She was incredibly kind and compassionate throughout the process and even suggested some time for me to have alone with Yogi. Nothing, absolutely nothing, felt rushed. Dr. Melania didn't administer the anesthetic the moment Yogi was distracted, she gave him time to enjoy all his high value goodies... The friends who were with me remarked on how beautiful his transition was and what a wonderful find Dr. Melania is. I agree. I appreciated the pamphlet she gave me about a resource to navigate my grief. When I mentioned that I didn't need a pee pad under Yogi because I intended to throw his bed away, Dr. Melania suggested I keep it for a little while so that my other dog could process her grief. She was absolutely right, my little girl has been glued to his bed since. Nothing takes away the pain and sadness of saying goodbye, but I am very grateful to Dr. Melania for making Yogi's transition so peaceful.

If I could leave this place 10 stars, I would! If you don't have time to read the full review, here's the TL;DR version: DR. MELANIA IS AMAZING. COMPASSIONATE, PROFESSIONAL, FULL OF KNOWLEDGE AND WILL TAKE THE BEST CARE OF YOU AND YOUR FUR BABY. We had to say goodbye to our beloved bull mastiff, Tank, yesterday. I knew it was inevitable but when we woke up and noticed how much he had declined overnight and was suffering, I knew it had to be done asap. I did not want him to suffer for another moment. I called around to a few in-home euthanasia places but no one had any availability that day, and I didn't want to stress our old boy out with a car ride to the vet. Someone offered to come in the evening at 5:30pm at an "after hours" rate of an extra $150. I understand that this is a business and people's time is valuable, especially if it takes away time they can spend with their own family at night. Nothing against that company, I totally get it. I appreciated their willingness to come out after hours and I was willing to pay it but thought I'd call a couple more places first. In-home euthanasia for pets is not cheap. It's worth it, but definitely not cheap. I am so glad I called. The next call was to Green Meadows and Dr. Melania answered right away. She answered my questions, gave me a price quote ($200-450 less than the other places), and thank goodness she had an opening that afternoon. We noticed her compassion and empathy as soon as she walked in. She came and sat right down on the floor on the dog bed with Tank and treated him with hugs and TLC. My husband had concerns that it might not be time because he had moments of perking up when he saw us, and even walked to the door to greet Dr. Melania when she came. She gave him treats and he ate (he hadn't eaten in over a week). So suddenly we had hope and thought that we might be putting him down too soon. We expressed our concerns to Dr. Melania and after a thorough assessment of his history, how he had been acting recently, and her observation of him, she told us the ultimate choice was ours. She was knowledgeable about his condition and didn't try to sway us in one direction or the other. We asked her to paint us a realistic picture of what would happen in the next days and weeks if we didn't put him down now. She was very honest and straight forward with us. We would basically be delaying the inevitable and would be in this same situation days later, only our poor Tank would be in more pain and experience more suffering. In the end, she told us it's a personal choice and only one that we could make, and that neither choice was wrong. We loved that we were able to talk it out with her, share our feelings and also get a doctor's perspective of things. It was incredibly validating. In the end, we decided that our boy had enough suffering and Dr. Melania gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye. His final moments were extremely peaceful and it was just like he went to sleep and didn't wake up again. There was no pain and we appreciated the quiet, peaceful passing. I can't say enough about how Dr. Melania helped us through this. Her patience with our many questions, her knowledge of not only his physical condition but also our emotional states, as well as his, and her honesty, compassion and empathy of the entire situation - we were truly blessed that we found her during such a difficult time. She's an angel.

Dr. Melania is an angel. My Mom's dog had congestive heart failure that took a very quick turn for the worse and our vet who saw Jax for over 10 years didn't make the effort to return her AM call of distress till almost 7pm when we already had Dr. Melania on the way. Thankfully she even asked her earlier patient if she could see us first as our dog was really struggling. She was so kind, knew just what to say, made us all comfortable and most importantly, took amazing care of our sweet Jax. She gave us the medical information and the comfort we were looking for all day from our long term vet and we had just found her online and met her for the first time!! I truly can't say enough about how she made such a hard time so much easier and comfortable. Thank you so, so much Dr. Melania and Green Meadows Vet Care. You are a gift to so many during such a difficult time. And a photo someone shared of their sweet dog with their "lamby" also made it feel "meant to be" that we were choosing the right person so wanted to share photo as this was Jax's favorite toy too. We highly recommend Green Meadows for when you are needing to make this hard decision.

    Robyn R.

Dr. Melania responded immediately to my inquiry and we feel so fortunate to have found her. She brought such a calm, comforting presence to this difficult decision. She greeted our pet with warmth and celebrated his uniqueness. We discussed his illness and she answered questions about his condition. She walked us through the process with patience and compassion, explaining everything thoroughly and made sure we were ready to proceed. Her price was less than our local vet and the experience was so much more peaceful in our home, instead of taking him in. Thank you Melania for helping us through one of our hardest times!

We were okay paying so much in order to have his final moments be comfortable at home rather than on a cold clinic table, but we had a pretty awful experience. When witnessing this service in the past from other practitioners, a sedative was given to the dog prior to the lethal injection via IV. For our appointment however, the vet explained that a sedative comes before the lethal injection, but instead of setting up an IV for that, she abruptly stuck him in the back with a needle. He began yelping and crying out in pain and frantically running all over our home VERY distressed. It was at this time that the vet informed us it was likely burning and itching inside of him, despite not warning us about that. I went to grab him and bring him back to the couch so I could hold him and she did the same thing again, causing the same reaction. By the time I got ahold of him and brought him back to the couch again to hold him in my arms he was so sedated he was basically already gone. Completely limp and comatose. I tried my best to position him on my lap on the couch while she did the lethal injection, but at that point he was pretty much gone. So his last moments were spent in pain, burning and itching, crying and confused, and running to find somewhere to hide. It did not feel humane and did not bring us any sort of peace about the already impossible decision. We are both heartbroken because he was truly so innocent and sweet and we went out of our way to try to ensure his final moments were filled with peace and dignity like he deserved, but instead we watched him pass in a state of fear and terror. I'm still a bit in shock over how it all went down, but I wanted to share this feedback for anyone considering going the same route. Respectfully, I would look elsewhere.

I appreciated his further reassurance that it was the correct decision and at the right time when he saw the gravity of Xena's condition; I had no doubts, but it was still a balm to my heart to hear it from a professional. I was able to pet her throughout the entire procedure and up until the very last moment we assisted her onto the stretcher. I am so grateful I could spend those crucial final moments comforting her. We preferred communal cremation, so the rates were within the ballpark of other at-home services I had consulted with. However the stellar attentiveness, gentleness, and empathy that Dr. Kevin provided, in addition to his same-day availability on such short notice and all of the glowing reviews here, had my heart set on him from the beginning. We cannot say enough wonderful things about and the care they gave our beloved dog, Sir Perceval…read more Fifteen years ago, we used this company when it was still Guardian Animal Aftercare for our two rescue dogs, and the compassion we experienced then stayed with us all these years. When Sir Perceval passed away, I immediately remembered them and reached out again. From the first phone call to bringing him home, every single step was handled with kindness, professionalism, warmth, and genuine compassion. Our aftercare specialist, Laura, at the Sun Valley location, stayed with us through the entire process and treated both us and our beloved pup with such dignity and care. The visitation experience was absolutely transformative for our grieving hearts. When we entered the room, Sir Perceval was resting peacefully on a soft bed, covered with a plush blanket, he looked like he was sleeping soundly, covered in a cozy blanket with flowers carefully arranged around him. The room was softly lit, peaceful music played in the background, and there were comfortable sofas where we could sit with him as long as we needed. We cried, hugged him, and said goodbye in a space that felt safe, loving, and deeply respectful. The thoughtful details meant everything to us -- when picking up his cremains, as emotional as it was, we appreciated the elegant, color coordinated packaging, the velvet bag his urn was wrapped in, the lovely engraving, his precious paw print. The service provided was exceptional in every way. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, West Coast Pet Memorial gave us peace and a final memory of our beloved dog that we will cherish forever. We are endlessly grateful.

This review is limited to the ashes and keepsakes I got from them for my late cat. Last week I lost my cat of 12 years, Oliver, to cancer. He passed away fairly suddenly when I took him to Animal Speciality Group (VCA) in Glendale because he had been throwing up non-stop and seemed to be in pain. Turns out his tumor had been bleeding internally and he was severely anemic and the cancer had apparently spread aggressively across large portions of his body, so I made the difficult but necessary decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. At ASG/VCA, I purchased a cremation and keepsakes package, which I would later learn was being handled by West Coast. I just got the urn and keepsakes today in the mail and I really could not be any happier (other than if I could get my little buddy back). The wooden urn I chose was just beautiful, but I am especially blown away by the small vial with his hair inside of it; West Coast made a point to display his black and white fur in a beautiful pattern so I can always remember my tuxedo boy. I also did not ask or even pay extra for a paw print but I was so emotional and glad to find that West Coast had prepared one for me anyway. I really appreciate the work they did here to memorialize my boy. Thank you, West Coast, for your thoughtful work. Pictures include how I've set up the urn and vial of hair on my little altar for Oliver.

We are so grateful and glad that we called them to help us in our time of need. We have had to sadly say goodbye to three other kitties, always at the vets- and we can say that this time was much better; saying goodbye in the comforting familiarity of our home was the best experience we could have hoped for. Just a note: we are in Valencia, Not Hasley Canyon. Don't know why Yelp decided to locate us there.

Hi Jeanette, Sunnie and the Peaceful Pets Family-…read more I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you did for our family today. Saying goodbye to Ace was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do, and you and Sunnie made it as peaceful and loving as it could possibly be. The way you cared for him--and for all of us--meant more than I can put into words. You took the time to talk with us and our kids. You explained everything in a way that made sense and bought calm. You made our children feel safe and supported no matter what they were feeling. That meant everything to us. You gave us space and time to say goodbye to our good boy in a way that was meaningful and kind. And the little touches... the blanket under his head, the pets and love you gave, the fur you kept and boxed for our children, the invitation for our kids to write a letter that will be with him forever, the calm and warmth you created--it didn't feel clinical, it felt like family. You gave us a moment we'll always be grateful for in the middle of so much heartbreak. Thank you for the love, compassion, and dignity you gave Ace and our whole family today. We will never forget it.

But that was not the fault of the provider, just the fault of what I was having to do. The vet was very nice and very patient. She even gave me a late night appointment so I could spend some quality time with my Dog. Writing this review brings up my pain again, but they did such a good job that I want other people to know about them. They were, expensive, but that was partially because it was a late night visit.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. The first photo is the day Oliver met Lilo as a puppy, their first photo together. The second was taken just before the veterinarian arrived to help Lilo pass. I didn't realize until later that I had unknowingly captured both the beginning and the end of their story together I will miss my Lilo for eternity.

You would place your pet there and say your proper good bye, the process it feels more complete to me at least ... Scott is very patient and he gives a lot of time, he also has a lot cats, so I think he understands perfectly what every owner is going through, that we didn't just lose a pet. We lost a family. Scott gives a very peaceful and warm energy that you feel like you can entrust your pet with him and he would take good care of your pet. I think that's what every pet owner needs because we feel so vulnerable at a moment like this... Btw, He also doesn't take the payment until he is done with the service.

What is truly remarkable about Scott is that he has this Morgan freeman vibe to him. Somehow he brings peace to your heart knowing your pet is in the best hands possible. His prices are very reasonable and affordable if your pet passes after veterinary hours or over the weekend. Scott gives excellent detailed instructions, next steps, and turn around timeframes.
