I cannot recommend Small Paws Cremations highly enough. Unfortunately, I have had to go through pet cremation several times in Los Angeles over the years, and I can honestly say that this was by far the best experience I have ever had. From the very first phone call, Romo treated my beloved Kitty with kindness, dignity, compassion, and genuine respect. He stayed in touch throughout the entire process, answered every question, and made an incredibly difficult time a little easier. The attention to detail was beyond anything I expected. They created a beautiful memorial package that included a custom engraved urn, a framed photo, paw prints, a personalized poem, and several thoughtful keepsakes. Everything was beautifully presented and handled with so much care. What touched me the most was that Kitty was never treated as just another pet. It truly felt like she was being cared for as a cherished member of my family. Losing a beloved companion is heartbreaking, but Small Paws helped me bring my beautiful princess home in the most loving and respectful way possible. Thank you, Romo, and everyone at Small Paws Cremations. I will always be grateful for your kindness and compassion, and I wholeheartedly recommend your services to anyone who wants their beloved pet treated with the love and dignity they deserve. Thank you!

Romo at Paws Cremation provided truly exceptional service during a very difficult time. From start to finish, he was compassionate, professional, and incredibly understanding. Paws Cremation is a wonderful company, and we are very pleased and deeply appreciative of both Romo and the care they provide. Romo went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth and comforting, which meant so much to us. His kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thank you for helping make such a difficult time a little easier--we are truly grateful.

During one of the most difficult times in my life, Small Paws treated my sweet kitty girl with such kindness, dignity, and respect. From the very first conversation, Romo was very compassionate, patient, and truly understanding of how much she meant to me. Romo handled everything so gently and professionally, and it brought me comfort knowing she was in caring hands. The communication was clear, the process was explained thoroughly, and they made something so heartbreaking feel just a little bit easier. I am beyond grateful for the love and respect they showed my baby. I highly recommend their services to anyone who wants their beloved pet treated with the same care and compassion they deserve. Thank you for honoring my kitty girl so beautifully.

2025 ended on a bittersweet ending for our family. Our beloved Bentley passed in my arms on Christmas during our family Holiday vacation in Glamis. I didn't want to bury and leave Bentley in the desert. I found Small Paws and immediately knew they would be very helpful during this transition. Tony was very helpful and patient with me during our conversations given that I was an emotional wreck. Our pets see us at our best and worse. They become human like. Tony picked up our beloved Bentley and delivered our forever memory of our beloved Bentley! Our overall experience and package will be forever cherished. Thank you so much!

Losing a pet is never easy but Rommel and his crew at Small Paws Cremations did an amazing job making the process a peaceful and less stressful one for our entire family. Our beloved 15 year old Boston Terrier's health was quickly deteriorating and we could tell that he was suffering more and more as each day passed. Rommel helped coordinate an in home visit with a wonderful vet and he personally came to our home to pick up Boba after we said our final goodbyes. He was extremely professional and took the utmost care of Boba. He kept in contact with us throughout the entire process and brought Boba home in a wonderful urn and provided shadow boxes for the entire family. Ariel did an amazing job capturing Boba's prints and they bring a smile to my face whenever I see them. Thank you to everyone at Small Paws Cremations for keeping Boba's memory alive! I cannot recommend them enough!!!

When my boss came to me and asked me if I wanted a pet rat I was a bit hesitant. But when I saw her face I had to bring her home. After a great three years our Missy was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We had to make the hard decision to euthanize her. Thank you Tony for helping us through the process. Thank you for your compassion and recommendations, the reasonable pricing allowed us to get all the keepsakes we wanted of our Missy. Highly recommended! If we ever need these types of services we know who to call. Thank you!

I recently received my cat Kenji's cremation package, and I truly can't thank Small Paws Cremations enough for the care and compassion they showed from start to finish. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly responsive and communicative. They were able to pick Kenji up within just a couple of hours of his passing, and they handled him with such gentleness and respect. That meant everything to me during such a painful moment. The entire process took about two and a half to three weeks, which felt very reasonable, and I was kept informed along the way. Their pricing was also very fair compared to other services I looked into, which I really appreciated. When I received his cremation package, I was honestly blown away by how beautiful and thoughtful everything was. The presentation alone showed how much they truly care. The framed poem with his photos, the handwritten cards, and all the personalized touches made this feel so much more meaningful and personal. The ceramic paw prints were especially special to me. Being able to see and touch something that represents him brought me a level of comfort I didn't expect. They also included multiple poems, official documentation, and small details that made it clear this isn't just a business to them, they genuinely care about the families and pets they serve. Losing a pet is incredibly difficult, but Small Paws Cremations handled everything with such dignity, kindness, and attention to detail. I truly felt like Kenji was treated with love every step of the way. I will always be grateful for what they did for him and for me.

Losing our puppy before ever getting the chance to bring them home was one of the hardest things I've experienced. In the middle of that grief, this cremation service treated us with such kindness, patience, and dignity that it truly mattered more than I can put into words. Tony handled our stillborn puppy with so much care and respect, and explained everything gently, never rushing us during such a fragile time. The keepsakes they provided were incredibly beautiful and meaningful. Receiving our puppy's ashes along with the tiny paw prints is something I will treasure forever. Thank you, Tony, for all of your heart, effort, and kindness. If you are facing an unimaginable loss and need a service you can truly trust, I cannot recommend them enough.

Suddenly and tragically losing our beloved dog was total chaos for us, we didn't know what to do. We found Small Paws Cremation from Yelp and decided to use them and Trusting the reviews on Yelp and their website. Romo came to the rescue. Words can't describe how much we are grateful and thankful to have you here for comfort during time like this. Your kindness, patience, support and exceptional service have given us a peace of mind during this difficult time. Our beloved dog is returned home with us. Thanks to Romo personal hand delivery service. We are united as a family!

Small Paws Cremations provides a wonderful service to the SFV community and I am grateful we found them after suddenly and tragically losing our Min Pin named Dog after so many years together. When your pet passes away unexpectedly, you're not really given a lot of time to figure out what to do. Everything is in chaos, you are trying to coordinate everything on top of dealing with the grief of the fresh loss. I used ChatGPT to look up cremation services and called a few, but Small Paws was the one we went with because when we called Romo was so compassionate and took the time to explain the processes and costs kindly and without rushing us, which not every place did. While they weren't the least expensive, they also weren't the most expensive and they help you out by allowing you to split up payment into 2 parts. That was greatly appreciated. Ultimately, I know I made the right choice because everything went so well with Small Paws every step of the way. I just received delivery of Dog's cremains as well as the other items we decided on. Everything came beautifully packaged and I actually cried when I had a chance to sit down and read the pet poem. I highly recommend Small Paws to anyone else who might find themselves in need of pet after-life services. They will take good care of you and your pet.

As someone who always has multiple dogs, (always 2+) that also means I've dealt with loss multiple times. I'm blessed that the dogs I adopt lead long wonderful lives but it's never easy when they pass. My 16.5 year old Lennox passed peacefully at home on Feb 12. I've gone with other private cremation providers before but because he passed in the evening 8:30 pm that meant I had to wait until the morning to find a cremation place to pick him up. The only place I found that was open very early was Small Paws and I saw that they were located relatively close to me. I called and Romo answered and he was able to pick up my Lenny within a couple hours. Romo was friendly, answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable and took his time. He was gentle with Lenny and I can tell that he does this because he truly wants to provide a good option for pet parents for cremation services. He was communicative and when I received Lennox back a few weeks later, what I received exceeded my expectations. The care, the detail, everything was executed properly. I really felt like he returned my baby with dignity and I was glad to have him home. The artwork from Ariel, the remembrance artist was so beautiful, I can't wait to frame it. All the products were good quality and I was so happy with my decision. I have gone to other cremation services in the past, but this was the best experience I had. Price, service and good products, Small Paws did it all. Thank you Romo, Ariel and the rest of your team for bringing my Lenny home. If you are looking for a cremation service, look no further than Small Paws.

    Franklin's ashes and paw prints.

The kindness and understanding during this difficult time was greatly appreciated. My dog's ashes were delivered in a lovely wood box with my dog's picture on the front. Romo also brought Franklin's paw prints, and certificates to my home. I hope I will never need this service again, but if I do, I will call Small Paws Cremations.

My pretty kitty - Marley was handled by Tony of Small Paws Cremation with the love and tenderness we needed in our time of grief.

We were okay paying so much in order to have his final moments be comfortable at home rather than on a cold clinic table, but we had a pretty awful experience. When witnessing this service in the past from other practitioners, a sedative was given to the dog prior to the lethal injection via IV. For our appointment however, the vet explained that a sedative comes before the lethal injection, but instead of setting up an IV for that, she abruptly stuck him in the back with a needle. He began yelping and crying out in pain and frantically running all over our home VERY distressed. It was at this time that the vet informed us it was likely burning and itching inside of him, despite not warning us about that. I went to grab him and bring him back to the couch so I could hold him and she did the same thing again, causing the same reaction. By the time I got ahold of him and brought him back to the couch again to hold him in my arms he was so sedated he was basically already gone. Completely limp and comatose. I tried my best to position him on my lap on the couch while she did the lethal injection, but at that point he was pretty much gone. So his last moments were spent in pain, burning and itching, crying and confused, and running to find somewhere to hide. It did not feel humane and did not bring us any sort of peace about the already impossible decision. We are both heartbroken because he was truly so innocent and sweet and we went out of our way to try to ensure his final moments were filled with peace and dignity like he deserved, but instead we watched him pass in a state of fear and terror. I'm still a bit in shock over how it all went down, but I wanted to share this feedback for anyone considering going the same route. Respectfully, I would look elsewhere.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... When Sir Perceval passed away, I immediately remembered them and reached out again. From the first phone call to bringing him home, every single step was handled with kindness, professionalism, warmth, and genuine compassion. Our aftercare specialist, Laura, at the Sun Valley location, stayed with us through the entire process and treated both us and our beloved pup with such dignity and care. The visitation experience was absolutely transformative for our grieving hearts. When we entered the room, Sir Perceval was resting peacefully on a soft bed, covered with a plush blanket, he looked like he was sleeping soundly, covered in a cozy blanket with flowers carefully arranged around him. The room was softly lit, peaceful music played in the background, and there were comfortable sofas where we could sit with him as long as we needed. We cried, hugged him, and said goodbye in a space that felt safe, loving, and deeply respectful. The thoughtful details meant everything to us -- when picking up his cremains, as emotional as it was, we appreciated the elegant, color coordinated packaging, the velvet bag his urn was wrapped in, the lovely engraving, his precious paw print. The service provided was exceptional in every way. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, West Coast Pet Memorial gave us peace and a final memory of our beloved dog that we will cherish forever. We are endlessly grateful.

This review is limited to the ashes and keepsakes I got from them for my late cat. Last week I lost my cat of 12 years, Oliver, to cancer. He passed away fairly suddenly when I took him to Animal Speciality Group (VCA) in Glendale because he had been throwing up non-stop and seemed to be in pain. Turns out his tumor had been bleeding internally and he was severely anemic and the cancer had apparently spread aggressively across large portions of his body, so I made the difficult but necessary decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. At ASG/VCA, I purchased a cremation and keepsakes package, which I would later learn was being handled by West Coast. I just got the urn and keepsakes today in the mail and I really could not be any happier (other than if I could get my little buddy back). The wooden urn I chose was just beautiful, but I am especially blown away by the small vial with his hair inside of it; West Coast made a point to display his black and white fur in a beautiful pattern so I can always remember my tuxedo boy. I also did not ask or even pay extra for a paw print but I was so emotional and glad to find that West Coast had prepared one for me anyway. I really appreciate the work they did here to memorialize my boy. Thank you, West Coast, for your thoughtful work. Pictures include how I've set up the urn and vial of hair on my little altar for Oliver.

It felt like I was doing them a favor by allowing them to handle this for me. Marvin handled the details for me and the man, Ruben, who escorted my boy to his cremation was so kind. I trusted my boy would be treated gently through the entire process with them. Ruben came yesterday and left with my boy around 6:30pm. Marvin placed him back in my arms in a lovely velvet bag today around 1:00pm. It's nothing short of a miracle to have him back with me for Christmas. Thank you for everything.

We were told he would have about a week or two to live, so we made the best of our time with Raja. We brought him water wherever he lay down and gave him all his favorite foods until he refused to eat. Today, I received the call I had been trying to avoid for the past few days. My wife called to tell me that Raja threw up blood and wasn't doing too well. She asked me how close I was to being home, and right when she asked, I heard my oldest son scream for her to go to him because something was wrong with Raja. She hung up the phone and then called me back about 3 mins later to let me know that he was holding him, and he wasn't going to make it. Once I got home, I looked in the living room, and my boy was laying there with his tongue out. I looked on Yelp to find someone who could take the body away, and I came across Loving Pets. They were fantastic and showed empathy every step of the way. They were comforting, gentle, and extremely friendly. The whole process was quick, smooth, and clean. They offered urns for the ashes and paw prints, which seemed cool, but I wasn't in the mood. If you ever lose one of your little fury friends I highly suggest calling Loving Pets to take care of the remains.
