Maggie was knowledgeable about the menu and based on her excited attitude about the specials, we ordered almost one of each. For dessert we had the beignets. Well, anyways, in this competition, the best bartender space was occupied by a Vic Muscat who bartended at the brattleboro bowl; therefore we came to visit the best bartender and see what he was all about. The service that we recieved was above and beyond, and we where tended to in a friendly and welcoming environment. I personally thought that the bar is an absolutely wonderful upgrade to the bowling alley, and can just imagine how nice and convienent it is for a girl to get a cocktail with her friends, or even keeping a close eye while the kids enjoy themselves and keep themselves occupied bowling and playing in the arcade. Overall, great establishment, absolutely amazing staff, and a great time.

I've always seen the same, friendly bar tender and always taken advantage of the well-priced beers of the month, which ranges over a wide variety of beer types. Sure, it is a dimly lit, well worn dive, but this place is overloaded with character. If you are not a townie or Keene State academic, then "roll deep" as they say and bring your own good time. I spy darts, a foosball table, and popcorn machine with legs like Betty Grable! We did stop at The Marina to eat but stood at the host desk waiting for someone to greet us for 10 minutes and we just kept being ignored by servers walking thru so we decided to walk out of The Marina and keep going. (Note to self, make Mondays in Vermont for driving, or nature, & less to-do activities). At Bar 580 a really friendly bartender/server made for a very welcoming experience. We had a tasty Ruben sandwich, great fries and a bowl of 580 Mac n cheese (with bits of diced jalapeño pepper and creamy local Grafton cheddar cheese! This was great tasting casual dining. For fun we enjoyed playing billiards on the 2 smaller tables up front. The sun-streaming & huge outdoor space on the back patio looked inviting, facing the woods and a fire pit. From the moment we arrived, the home was warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting. We both slept so well, and woke up to the most delicious, homemade breakfast - that you seriously can't get anywhere else. Patti, the owner, was so welcoming and kind. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and her hospitality made our trip even more special. We hope to be back :)
