Really cool place, with a nice bar and a fun store. The tour is cool with really knowledgeable tour guides. The tasting is good, and between that and the bar you can try everything. Go get mutton bbq after

This is a very beautiful distillery. Ashley, who was our tour guide for the barrel thieving, was wonderful and knowledgeable of showing us the ground. And the buildings. I had the greatest experience there out of any tour I have taken so far.I can't wait to go back and bring my wife with me.

This was our first KY Bourbon Trail experience. We now plan on doing more. However, I think the Green River experience, along with our tour guide's (Nate) knowledge and expertise, will be difficult to match! First of all, the Green River grounds are simply stunning. Kudos to your groundskeepers! Next, the hour long tour, itself, was wonderful. Nate is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He explained the history of your company, the industry, and the distillery process in such a way that both novices (like myself) and experts could both understand and appreciate. Nate is a wonderful representative of your brand. Finally, the tasting was wonderful. The care and craftsmanship is evident in your products. The whole experience was first class!

We took the Insiders tour with a cask tasting. I learned so much from our tour guide. Our group was small, limited to eight people, and afterwards we enjoyed sitting at the bar and trying a few different cocktails. None of the buildings are air-conditioned, except for the main area/bar, so be prepared if you go during hot weather because you will sweat. They provided all the bottled water that we could drink. If you want to take the Insiders tour, you definitely want to make reservations before you go .

A must stop on the Bourbon Trail. Even though the location is a little out of the way from the majority of the distilleries on the Trail, the history, The amazing site and buildings, the area around Owensboro and especially the Green River Bourbon you can sample is all worth the extra miles! WE visited all three distilleries on the "Stateline Whiskey Tour" and enjoyed all three but this one the most. I suggest you ask for Hannah as your tour guide. She was great sharing the history of the site and families involved over the years and did was very knowledgeable about all the facets of the distilling process... I had been trying to get to Green River for two years because I love their Wheated Bourbon and was not disappointed as the visit was everything and much more that I was expecting!

Nate was a great tour guide and bartender. Tim was extremely nice and accommodating, answering our questions about the facility. Distillery's history, facility and grounds were impeccable. Not to mention the JUICE was also great. Enjoyed the whole experience and my wife claimed that of the 30+ distilleries we've been to, that Green River is her new favorite. Quite hi-praise... Thank you!!

We had such a fun time and the staff were incredible here! Everyone knew us by name and were the most friendly people we've experienced on the Bourbon Trail. The decor inside was beautiful and comforting. We even got a tasty drink before we began our tour! It's 5 o'clock somewhere! We definitely want to come back again for a tour soon.

Y'all... book a tour and go see Caryn (with a C) NOW! My husband and I have been to plenty of distilleries, but this was such a unique tour (barrel thieving tour) and the staff is so welcoming and informative. We had the best time here. This distillery is going to blow up as they are about to launch their flagship bourbon in the next few weeks. We can't wait because everything we tasted was wonderful... I can only imagine what this new bourbon will taste like :) Beautiful grounds, delicious cocktails at the bar, and great bourbon to sip on after your tour. Definitely put this on your list of places to check out on the bourbon trail!!!

At the tasting we were blown away with the smoothness of the Bourbon and the Honey bourbon was out of this world!!

She was adorable, articulate, personable though she spoke a bit fast & soft. I am not a big fan of whiskey/ bourbon I really enjoyed most of what I tasted. We decided upon several different bottles and even bought one for an "adopted brother", 'brother from another mother". The video they show led was very informative, helped to learn a lot of the history in America. I was really touch by the collection of police badges! I lost my dear cousin (Sgt John Macaulay ) on the streets of San Francisco. September, we will be back!!

The most expensive whiskey I ever tasted was the Dalmore King Alexander III. A roughly $300 bottle,…read moreand a shot that cost at least $40. I was celebrating a promotion, don't judge! The second most expensive was the Mizunara whiskey from Boundary Oak, a $250 bottle. It's made with staves from a rare Japanese tree, that has to be at least 200 years old before it can be used. It truly imparts a one-of-a-kind flavor. This was included in the premium package, which lets you try some terrific and 'fancy' stuff for $30. You also get an etched glass to take home. Gerry was a great tasting guide! He was very knowledgeable about the products, and how they may be best enjoyed, including a whiskey that needed to sit for a bit to open up. I also want to give some extra credit, as when I asked about their "Sinful 69" bottle, he poured a little sample for me, and called over the other folks who were doing the tasting to try it also. Alas, I did not have an opportunity this time around to see the inner workings of distillation, but as I understand it, this is more an explanation that tour through the production area. With this, Boundary Oak Distillery was a great, memorable stop on my birthday trip to Kentucky.
