Bought a pair of Oakley goggles here, after purchase I went online and realized I overpaid about 80 dollars for them. Tried to return them but I guess taking off a sticker counts as wearing them. They wouldnt even credit me 20 dollars back to make up for the almost 100 dollars I overpaid. Save yourself a lot of money and order online and have them shipped to mammoths general store.. Also when I went in the day prior to try on boots the sales associate was just flat out snippy and was sour I asked to try on another pair. Seems to be a poorly run business in my opinion. From the customer service to the prices. I get you are retail below the mountain but you can't be charging almost double the online price. read more

Renting my snowboard setup at P3 was super quick and easy and added to the week of ease on the mountain. The crew was really nice and they were able to get me setup in proper gear in minutes! I needed an adjustment on my setup mid-week and they prioritized it for me and made it worth my while to have it done. My friend is a local in Mammoth and recommended this place to me and it didn't disappoint. Parking is also easy right out front. I will definitely rent here again next year! read more

Best Customer Service!!! Fantastic Boot fitting service!!! I don't normally leave Yelp reviews but this store has been so excellent I've felt the need too. - not a store just for beginners staff is very knowledgeable for all skill levels ski and board - no mountain price mark ups (at least for the things I bought) - they don't just sell you boots, they custom them fit them for you and know how to get rid of any pain you might have!! Shout out to Keith and Ryan( with beard) for great service and super chill ** Long explanation of my experience below** I came in looking for new snowbaording boots since my old boots (Burton Motos)were too soft and not fitting right giving me excruciating foot arch pains and pains on the balls of my feet. I was first served by Ryan (with the beard) at the shop who tried to convince me to save money and just buy a foot bed and heat mold the liner's of my old boots. Until after noticing the amount of heel lift in the Motos he then had me demo some higher performing boots (K2 Maysis). Ryan was very knowledgeable and super chill. After a day of boarding I didn't enjoy the K2 Maysis and I took them back to the shop. I had been eyeing the DC Judge boots and decided to take them out for a demo. The DC boots were great and I ended up going back to purchase them. After a day of riding on the DC boots I brought them into the store to get them to the store to get them heat molded and have a foot bed molded. This time I was served by keith. I was still having slight irritation in my foot and told Keith who then added a heel lift support to aide it. Also on my way to the shop I noticed my Burton Cartel bindings had highbacks which were rippimg into my new boots. I showed Keith and he custom modded my highbacks to prevent the problem. I wish I could give P3 a 10 star rating. I went in for a boot fitting after years of pain and uncomfortable snowboarding. A friend of mine recommended P3 because of their highly knowledgeable, friendly and capable staff. I had my boot fitting done 3 weeks ago and just got home from an epic cat skiing trip in northern Idaho followed by another trip to mammoth... and guess what... no foot pain, no fatigue, tons of energy while riding. It's been 10 years since I felt this good on the mountain, I owe it to P3. Wish I could hug you guys! read more

This was my first trip to Mammoth. I had a blast! I picked P3 because it looked close to the apartment my group was staying at. I reserved a helmet and planned to get boots on arrival. Most everyone there was incredibly friendly and nice. They had smiles on their faces and genuinely seemed willing to help! Why is this a three star review you may wonder...? Well, I got a helmet and was assigned a young, dark long haired guy to provide my boots. He asked for my shoe size, brought over the boots and I tried them on and they felt great. However, I use skiboards, otherwise known as mini skis, snow blades or bigfoots (look them up--they are super fun! Especially for beginners!) and I have relatively older bindings on them--the old style clip bindings. I asked if I could try fitting the boots to the bindings to be sure they fit correctly, and this guy seemed genuinely annoyed. "Yeah, whatever. I don't know anything about those skis or bindings." I explained I just wanted to be sure they fit and he just apathetically shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sure whatever. I can't help you with those." At that point, this guy had no interest in helping me and he acted like he couldn't be bothered to do anything constructive, so he just stood up and left. I was frankly shocked. He went to the cashier terminal and started up my rental paperwork. Fortunately, the ski boots fit my bindings well, and everything was fine. I had a great time. I just came away from P3 bummed that the boot fitting experience had come across so "meh" and failed to match the demeanor and enthusiasm of everyone else that worked there. P.S. Later when I returned the gear, Keith was awesome. Ask for him to talk all things Mammoth and skiing. That guy was a joy to talk to. Just avoid the other guy. ;) read more

Today.... I broke my Burton snowboarding binding on the mountain. I knew if I took my broken binding back to LA with my the chance of getting that special broken Piece was slim to none .....These are older bindings but really great ones. I walked in to the P3 shop simply asking for a bolt, and 20 minutes later the staff was hard at work, digging through their old parts buckets of burton binding to find that special part to fit my broken bindings. I think it was the manager, but a few people helped me. Grinding parts and taking the time to be sure my bindings were safe and totally fixed. I know a little something about retail ,as I also own and operate sporting goods shops here in Los Angeles. The customer service I received today is why I'm taking the time to write a yelp review!!!! Today ....I was not even a paying customer as they gave me that screw and bolt and most importantly there time and expertise. I guarantee I will be back the purchase my next board or any snowboard related products!!!!!! Amazon and the internet stores have NOTHING on this epic resource for the snowboard industry!!!! I bought a board and boots here last season....came in today with problems with one boot, so they gave me brand new boots...this season's improved model....while they send the old boots back under the warranty...they also throw in lifetime waxing....Morgan is an awesome boot guy....and Keith the manager is fantastic....wouldn't buy skiing or boarding equipment from anyone else!! read more

Bought new K2 Minaysis boots and broke a boa wire first day on the mountain. Mammoth repair shop was less than helpful so I called around at 4 p.m. The guys at P3 assured me they could fix the issue. When I arrived I was promptly served, and assured that "it happens". They made no promises, but said it'd definitely be done next morning for day two at mammoth. They called an hour or so later to say it was done! I picked up my boots and had a great day two. Thanks guys! read more

So sometimes you find a place where the owner gives a dayem and this is one of those places. The staff is friendly, especially the owner. He will tell you the brutal honest truth about how everything is. I really appreciate that. Especially that he will go the extra step or 90 to talk to you and let you know how to set everything up for you to ski, snowboard, or do summer sports. They fit you properly which I find to be inexorably rare, especially here in Mammoth. The selection of gear is outstanding as is the quality. I definitely suggest stopping in to check this place out. Even if you dont buy anything, they will treat you as a great customer. One of my favorite small shops here in Mammoth. So step in for a visit and see what they have available. First week gearing up for the ski season for our family with two kids, and the service for rentals as well as the overall customer service couldn't have been any better. Amongst the many rental options available at this location, if you're looking to be fitted for ski or snowboard rentals, ask for Keith! Not only was he top notch with our adult and kid fittings, he made sure that the start to finish guest experience in-store was a deserving 5 star. They are super helpful with winter sports needs and are an honest shop. They gave me a good price on two helmets for my sister and I. My sister also demoed a pair of skis here that she ended up liking and buying for a decent price. They did send me to footloose when they weren't able to do a tune up on my skis that had small pebbles lodged in rather than taking my money since footloose had the right equipment for that job. read more

This is the 2nd time I have received great service from Green Room Mammoth. Once last year from one of the young men who worked there, and this time, I reached out in hopes of getting a particular snowboard boot model that my local Green Room didn't have. I spoke to Neal on the phone who told me a shipment was coming in and that the boots I wanted were in there, and that he would call me as soon as they were in. Not only did he keep his word and called me right away, but he also offered to ship 2 different sizes in the boots to my local Green Room in OC to make sure I get one that fits perfectly. Particularly because these boots are a pretty penny! I never really knew much about snowboard boot fitting and always felt like I wasn't sure how they were supposed to fit and feel after riding for over 25 years, and Neal broke down everything I had wondered and more about not only my current boots, but also how he can custom fit and shape my old AND new boots to fit my feet properly for maximum comfort and performance when I come by his shop next time I get up to Mammoth (hopefully very soon!). My boots were shipped in 2 days like Neal told me, and followed up to let me know they arrived and that the manager has them waiting for me. Great prices for board and boot rentals! It was $78 for two day rental which we prebooked online. We called to ask if we could pick up the board the day before because we didn't want the hassle of waking up early and waiting to pick up our boards, and they said yes! Super accommodating shop. Workers are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to come to P3 for your rental services if you're in Mammoth area. read more

I bought snowboard boots here and had the hardest time breaking them in. I finally called it and went into get heat molded. I didn't get the gentleman's name who helped custom fit my boots, but he did an awesome job I know he went to school in San Diego. He was super informative and told me to come back after a day on the slopes if my boots still needed adjusting. I never knew how important it was to have properly fitting boots. What a great employee you guys have. He gave me recommendations on proper socks and recommended new cushions to help alleviate some of the pressure I was feeling. I will never go elsewhere next time I need new boots. I had the best day snowboarding all thanks to him! read more

Buyer beware- ski/board knowledge, quality gear, they would get an A. For business practice to protect the privacy of their customers, they get an F. They collect enough info for identity fraud and credit fraud, but they have no protection, nor care to do so. Your info is available to all their staff and any public who care to peek. When questioned about it, got a snotty reply. This type of sloppy business practice is the reason credit card fraud and identity theft is so prevalent. read more

Classic bait and switch. Called this place a few days ago about a demo board and snowboard boots for my kids. Guy quotes me price on the phone. I decide not to rent at my local shop, but when I get there a m told it's twice the quoted price. Was also quoted price to purchase a demo board, same thing board was much higher price. Went to Wave Rave instead and rented for my kid and bought all new gear for myself. Much better customer service and they earned my business. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

P3 is the best ski shop. Ben Posey was amazing and spent 2 hours helping me adjust and fit my old ski boots to make them feel much better. I decided to try the 2 day demo package and they allowed me to take 2 skis to the mountain so I could try both on the slopes each day. Their suggestions were great in helping me select the perfect new skis to buy. This place is Top notch and I highly suggest them to anyone visiting Mammoth Mountain.
