FINALLY!! A smog place I (and you) can trust…read more I came here as a last ditch effort in attempting to smog my wifes 2015 Chevy Malibu. We were getting some bad codes that prevented it from being smogged and I went to another smog place in Concord. I was sold approx $800 in repairs and THEN told that I should call CarFax get a quote and take it and get rid of the car! This 2015 Malibu is hardley drive as I work from home 100K milles. After hitting another auto repair place it was told to me... Im betting this would pass go to BAYSIDE SMOG... I did and Im glad I did. Retold my story to Naqib and he smiled and stayed neutral on it while seeing the disbelief in his eyes on my being told the car would cost more to repair and smog than to just "sell it as is" It took them 15 minutes maybe to smog the car with no issues... no weird side gimmicks or tricks, the car just passed as it was. Bayside has a lifelong customer and Ill steer everyone needing a smog to this guy. Solid service!

One of the attendants got me started on the paperwork almost immediately. By 10:55am, my car was already being inspected, and by 11:05am, everything was done. The total, including the state paperwork, was $58--about $15 less than what I paid for my last smog check at another shop. I was really happy with the quick turnaround and the price. When I first brought it in, the technician popped the hood, saw the intake, and still went ahead with the smog test--only to fail it on the visual. I was charged around $100 and told to fix the issue and come back, and that they'd retest at 50% off. I spent time and money replacing parts to get everything right and came back expecting that discounted retest. Unfortunately, the original guy wasn't there, and the person working that day refused to honor what I was told. Instead, he said I had to pay full price again. Yes, I'll admit I didn't have my original receipt--that's on me--but the bigger issue is they didn't even try to help. The employee refused to call the owner to verify what I was told, and apparently they don't keep any record of previous visits. No system, no accountability--just "pay again." The whole situation felt unprofessional and honestly pretty shady. It seems like the priority here is collecting as much money as possible rather than treating customers fairly. It wasn't test drive it Wednesday morning. I drove out of the parking lot and the trani slipped. It slipped 4-5 times in the time it took me to turn around and go back to Stress Free (what a joke). The guy behind the desk said they checked the trani fluid and it was full. Then he said that I should have my mechanic tow it to him. By ommission they lied to me. I was able to get 110 miles with it slipping constantly on back roads before I had to get a tow. Stress free KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON‼ I should have been told about it. I will make sure to let people know not to go there. I am still angry about it. I don't know what my next steps might be but I intend to do more. Services Transmission

I was in the process of selling my car when I was in need of a smog check. I wasn't quite sure of a good place to go, so I decided to use yelp to find some local places to get a smoke check when this place showed up. I looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try, especially with its $41 deal! The day I showed up, I was instantly helped and taken care of. They finished my car within 15 mins. I thought that the service and the employees were great. What smog place has free wifi for their clients? AAAAA Smog does! Good customer service is easy, just do your job and smile. There are so many places to have your vehicle smogged in town. In the past, I usually go to the cheapest place I can find and I usually never go to the same place twice. The truth is Green Star Smog and their friendly staff make you want to bring all your future business to them. They are easy to find off of Market Street and once you walk in you feel at home and comfortable (maybe its the Koi Fish Fountain). In my experience they are the best when it comes to speed, service, quality and price. read more

needed a smog on my 2003 lexus es 300 and went to other smog places in concord and for some reason they couldnt continue the test,so i was on my way home and i saw a smog station right before getting on the freeway and i stoped in and explained what i had been told, so they tested my car it passed just fine and i was out of there in 15 minutes..and the were very friendly.i will definitly use their sevices in the future. read more

I went to AAAAA in May to have my older honda civic smogged. The staff was awesome and so helpful. I will return with my other vehicles every time i need to get a smog. Its so hard to find a good and honest smog center that actually knows what they are doing and how to get customers in and out in a timely fashion. I highly recommend them to everyone and have referred all my friends and family. read more

I was in and out of here 10 minutes after the prior customer. Rudy was very helpful and cheerful; he seemed to really enjoy his work and meeting customers. Had a great experience! In and out within 15 minutes, and the attendant was super courteous and friendly. Out of pocket costs with the Yelp certificate were $24. Definitely the place to go for smog checks, especially if you have to have a STAR test. read more

He had his knee pads and just looked under the car. note for others: if you have a shield and it covers the cat info, then he might need to put it on the lift and charge more.
