As a Huge Foodie I can say this isn't the place to order. It tastes like rotting beef that a homeless man who hasn't showered in 10 years came and rubbed the meat & veggie acrossed every extremity of his body. I have never had food that tastes so bad in my life. the hot and sour soup tasted as though it was oil and mud mixed together with some bamboo shoots. The broccoli beef had no flavor except the taste as though it had been sitting on a counter left to rot then cooked. The fried rice tasted like wet dog food and the smell of the food alone was foul. I honestly will never order from here again. I'd have better luck eating from a dumpster. Not to mention the driver trying to make a quick tip and screw me on $17 saying i owed an extra $15 when the restaurant confirmed that I was indeed correct on the amount owed. read more

We ordered orange chicken and ended up getting sesame chicken which ended up being way to spicy for the child eating it. We got 2 egg roles and 2 orders of crab puffs as well as fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and egg drop soup. The egg roles had so much breading, it wasn't worth it. Crab puffs were ok. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. After the food sat for 15mins it wasn't as hot but the egg drop soup still scalded my tongue. Which made it to where I couldn't hardly taste any thing. That was yesterday. I've had stomach pains ever since. Never again. read more

I had General Chicken ordered through door dash. It was great. It wasn't the sugary saucy sweet mess that you get at many places called General Tsao (that's not to say that style is bad); it had its own unique sauce that was imho very nicely balanced. I would definitely like to try it fresh and hot as it was lukewarm due to the delivery time (this is not the fault of the restaurant at all). I do wish I got a bit more rice but that's only due to the generous portion of chicken. Overall I'm very happy with the food I ate. On a side note it was not very spicy. I eat very spicy foods containing Carolina Reaper on a regular basis though so I may not be the best judge. read more

This is absolutely the worst food I have ever received. I ordered through doordash, and the delivery was fine. However, the food is absolutely terrible, as the pictures show. Both came in massive tubs absolutely filled with sauce, the teriyaki has more sauce that chicken. So much so they had the foresight to pack it in a plastic bag. The texture of the sesame chicken is borderline inedible: the chickens extremely over cooked and gristly, and the breading is like a liquid mush. I couldn't eat more than a bite. The teriyaki had a nasty metallic taste and was also inedible. The only good part of the meal was the rice, which came in a pathetically sized container. It's seriously the tiniest takeout container I've ever seen. And the fortune cookie was stale. How do you mess up a fortune cookie. It actually makes me sick. I want to puke thinking of what goes on in this kitchen. I will never eat here again, and I strongly advise you not to. If you can even manage to eat the food, you'll probably get food poisoning and die. read more

Truly atrocious. Wish I could give them zero stars. Ordered a combo with fried prawns, easily twice as much batter as prawns and still the prawns was overcooked and rubbery and the batter was mushy like they used precooked prawns. On to the pork fried rice. I did manage to find a piece of pork but it was not the usual BBQ pork you get in pork fried rice but a very small brown piece of meat which matched the rest of the rice which was a dark dingy brown, the whole thing was underseasoned or maybe totally unseasoned and tasted of nothing other than old oil/fat. Finally the main dish schezuan chicken. This is marked as spicy on the menu so I was looking forward to this. Opened the lid to see yet more brown gloopy slimy sauce with equally brown vegetables or at least I think they were vegetables they might of been gummy candies with the texture but if they were then at least they would of tasted or something. The brown sauce was totally devoid of any flavour or spice. I could not see or taste any chili peppers. The pieces of chicken I did find must of been boiled with all the veggies as it was as soft and as tasteless which I found astonishing that it was even possible my daughters mcnougats have more texture and they are made of mincing up all the chicken. Obviously I would not recommend the place and will actively go about of my way to recommend to not go there which is what I think the staff are trying to say when churning out this drivel. read more

It only cost 25.00; a killer deal for the large amount of food that I ordered. My favorite items are the bbq pork and the sweet and sour chicken. If for some crazy reason you dont want to have your food delievered, then you're in luck because they have a drive thru window to pick up your food as well. read more

We have been looking for old school style American Cantonese Chinese food in Vancouver and we have found it! I love fried rice, where it is actually fried and soy sauce is used so it has a brown color to it. That is what you get here. The Pork Chow Mein was old style too with lots of crunch and didn't have that slimy sauce a lot of places like to use. This is our go-to now and can't beat delivery. Always lots of food and leftovers :) I almost forgot about the BBQ pork. Hands down the best I have ever had. I don't know how they do it but it is moist, not dry. read more

If you pull up to this location, and don't question eating food from there, there is something seriously wrong with you. The place is a filthy shack, and I'm not sure they offer anything other then to-go, probably so they don't have to remodel the inside. This said, we began eating here because of their convenient delivery, and it wasn't for over a year before I saw the location to pick up dinner one night. During that year, the appearance of the location did not weigh on me, and I thought for the most part, the one item we would order was pretty good. They make a pretty good sub gum chicken chow mein, and I recommend panfried noodles for a dollar more. There is a dinner combo that comes with fried rice and sweet-and-sour chicken. When compared to other restaurants with this type of combo, I give green tea four stars: the one dinner combo feeds two with leftovers, and ingredients are fresh. We have tried a few other items there along the way, including Mongolian beef and sesame chicken... Compared to other places, I would give green tea one star. My point, they make good sub gum and I would not order anything else there. read more

Sketchy from the outside, yes, but good food and very fast! We ordered a family meal for three (despite having a fam of four) and it was so much food. The almond chicken was good as was the sweet and sour pork. The egg rolls were a little weird though. They seemed to be dipped in batter and fried. Saw that the do delivery as well. Great prices, amazing food, delivered all the way out to Camas! I thought it was too good to be true... until I stopped in to pick up my last order rather than having them deliver it like I usually do. As I pulled up to the building I quickly realized that it must be no mere coincidence that my first meal from Green Tea & my last serious illness were both around the same time. You see, I realized that the clutter, cobwebs, dust, and complete lack of janitorial services (that would usually go hand-in-hand with the food service industry, but were found completely lacking in this particular establishment) really only serve to make us humans weaker, and more susceptible to sickness! I know this to be a fact because I have not had so-much-as a mild cold since I first sank my teeth into their outstanding Pork Chow Fun and I believe - nay, I know, it has everything to do with the sudden boost that my entire immune system was forced to make on that blessed day - the first time an army of germs from that dirty, dirty, kitchen infiltrated my body cleverly disguised as eight servings of pure deep fried suicide bomber delight, and magically made me invincible to all disease! So now my plan is to cancel my health insurance and spend all the extra $$ on enhancing my new superpower by eating more Green Tea! This place is amazing! Our first time ordering delivery when the first snow storm hit... THEY STILL CAME! A nice girl came to our "hard to find" door and gave us the best bag of Chinese food we've probably ever had. (Pork fried rice, chicken Lo mein, ginger beef, largest spring rolls ever, and they specially made my chow mein with no mushrooms since I have an allergy.) Fresh fresh food. Steaming hot* and packed so carefully. Plenty of sides and sauces. The price was fair for the amount of food we got. We ate on it for 3 days!!! So much food!!! Oh, we can't wait to go back. I've been ordering from them for several years as they are close to my house and I loved their lemon chicken. But last night I ordered my usual lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork and fried rice. I also asked for the fried food to be extra crispy so it wouldn't be soggy when it arrived. When i opened it up, I was shocked. A lot of pieces were burned. See the pic. It also had a burned taste to it. The sweet and sour pork was fine. But the BBQ pork fried rice was.......just gross to say the least! Like some of the other posts have said, it tastes like dog food. There was no egg in it. It was rubbery and had a very odd taste, kind of bitter. I was SO DISAPPOINTED!! That was $40 wasted! AND it took 1hour and 10 min to be delivered. After an hour I called to see where my order was and the kid on the phone was absolutely clueless and THOUGHT it was out for delivery but had no way to tell for sure and told me to call back if it didnt "arrive in like the next 30 min." Have been ordering from Green Tea Kitchen for years. Up until recently, they've been a solid 5 stars. Recently though, quality has seriously gone downhill. The first major change I noticed was their egg rolls. Those used to be a must-have with any order. Now, the outer crunchy layer tends to just crumble and fall off, and the inner wrapper tends to be soft and rubbery. Also, tonight's pork fried rice had the texture of instant rice. And somehow the delivery boxes have gotten worse as well. They started putting the boxes in plastic bags because they were leaking. In tonight's order, half the boxes literally looked like they were melting. Couldn't even pick the boxes up. Definitely hope they get their quality issues fixed. read more

I do not understand the negative reviews of this place. My husband and I ordered from here for the first time last week. We ordered two of their East Dinners. It was so much food!!! When they came to the door, my husband answered and yelled upstairs, "Are you planning to feed an army?" It lasted for three nights. We even served a family member that came over one of those nights. The dinner combination was great because I have my own personal preferences of what I like and so does my husband. Between all the choices, we were both happy. The food arrived hot and in the time frame that we were told, about an hour. The delivery person was nice and friendly, according to my husband since I did not answer the door. We will be ordering from them again soon and trying different items on the menu until we find our personal favorites. read more

I can't say anything good about this place besides it is fast in terms of delivery time. But the food is horrible. One customer said it tasted weird, and hard to describe it. I had the same problem. I ordered Broccoli Chicken, and some chicken with mix veges to deliver to my work. People just walked away from the food after a taste. And the packaging job sucks too. Vancouver is severely limited on options for good places to eat at all, let alone ones that deliver. I miss Seattle and seriously look forward to moving into Portland in the next few weeks largely for this reason. I vaguely remember ordering from Green Tea once before when we moved here early last year. I don't remember what it was we had then but I do remember not enjoying it. Fast forward 10 months, after the roomie and I had worked all weekend and we neither felt like cooking nor driving, we gave them another chance out of desperation. I had the chicken chow fun, dry style. It looked and smelled good but it tasted really, really weird. I have no words to describe it. It was not good. The more I ate of it, the more disgusted I became, and it ended up in the garbage. I HATE wasting food, but it was THAT bad. The roomie ordered the lemon chicken, which came in two separate containers: one, a soup container filled with lemon sauce and the other, a container filled with sliced deep-fried pieces of chicken. Now we are in no way experts on Chinese food but we have both had lemon chicken before. It's always been either grilled or stir-fried, never battered and deep-fried. If that's their chosen way to prepare it, it should be at least accurately described on their menu. They specify other deep-fried/pan-fried items on their menu, why not the lemon chicken? Also not good, btw. If I rated Green Tea on amount of food and the time it took from order to delivery, they'd get 5 stars. They showed up in at least half the time they estimated. Based on the food alone though, I can't even give them two stars. I hate myself for eating this food. Another reviewer described the food as Panda Express quality, but I honestly think it's worse. It didn't take long for the food to arrive from Green Tea Kitchen however the entrees were soggy. It would have been better if they spent more time packing and paid more attention to saucy items. The meat of the broccoli chicken tasted stale, seems to me they cooked their meat long before I placed the order. Also, the spring rolls were over fried. If I paid a restaurant price, I expect restaurant quality cooking, not Panda Express fast food style. I will not order again from this place. read more

We ordered $70 dollars worth of food here. It was delivered, however it was the worst I have ever had. I am not sure what happened here. The shrimp was hard as a rock and didn't even taste like shrimp. All of the food was old tasting and actual quit gross. Very disappointing read more

I had been searching for a good Chinese restaurant and was told the only good Chinese food in Vancouver is in Portland. They are wrong. I discovered this restaurant about a year ago. Food is take out or home delivery only. Some of the best food available. Delivery time is usually 30 minutes. The food is reasonably priced, freshly prepared, and very hot when delivered.
