Came here on a chilly Sunday afternoon. Ordered the mapo dofu and basil eggplant. The food tasted great. Finally, a Chinese place that I can take out of towners to. They booth where I ate was quiet, evening I could see the busy kitchen.

Good Chinese Food Restaurant with easy parking. Inside is fairly large and very clean. The food is very delicious with large portions. This was my first time eating here and I came to visit with my sister. The service was okay. The food portions were large and delicious.

Szechuan Brothers was in my book mark for three years. Finally my brother in lord invited me for the wonderful dinner. The place seems like don't need reservations for big table like us with group of 7. I like our first dish as chong qin spicy chicken. This is good spicy dish with fried chicken strip. The spice is amazing at that fish. The five elements spicy soup another good dish. I like it because it has pig blood as tradition items. The domeo stir fry vegetables also good to go with the meal. Overall is a good restaurant. Service also good.

Overall decent...but I will be back to try other dishes...the ones we chose were average at best. Hot & Sour soup - good value as a Large is $9? Kung Pao Chicken - pass...hardly any flavor Broccoli Beef - just OK. Broccoli was barely cooked Pork Chow Main - got this as they were out of MuuShu... overall decent, but it was almost like they forgot (same with the table next to us) as it came out over 20 minutes after we got the other food. Service was fine. Don't get the cocktails

Presentation: 4/5 (Neat display of food, nothing crazy tho) Tastiness: 5/5 (Very aromatic and both dishes, beef and string beans, were cooked to perfection) Value: 5/5 (Very reasonable portion size for the price, especially for a family owned business) Service: 4/5 (Nice waiters/waitresses that checked up on us) Cleanliness: 5/5 (Clean and well-decorated) Noise level: Moderate Recommendations: String beans dish Will I return? Definitely.

We were only in Vancouver for a few days during our August anniversary trip, and I was craving Chinese food one evening. Szechuan Brothers piqued my interest while researching (authentic) Chinese restaurants in the area. Located in a large strip mall, the restaurant was cozy with plenty of tables for groups and couples alike. We were hungry but not starving, as we had eaten at Park the Carts several hours earlier, but still wanted a good dinner. All of the food looked so good around us, especially their Szechuan hot pot. However, we decided to go with simpler fare so as not to have leftovers. I went with the braised beef noodle soup while my husband went with the combination fried rice. The servers were attentive and friendly, and took our order quickly as well. We didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive to our table. The braised beef noodle soup was the perfect portion, with a ton of veggies and huge chunks of tender beef. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, and the broth had a good depth of flavor. Braised beef noodle soup, when done well, is so comforting. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, which is one of the best parts about this soup when executed correctly. My husband's combination fried rice was also delicious. I had a few bites and it had such a wonderful wok hay to it. The combo comes with chicken, beef, and shrimp, and there was plenty of meat in the dish. I only wish we could have returned to Szechuan Brothers for a second time during our trip, but that just means we need to go again the next time we visit the PNW! I'd definitely recommend going to Szechuan Brothers if you are craving some delicious authentic Chinese food while in Vancouver!

I was surprised to find an authentic Szechuan restaurant out in Vancouver, but Szechuan brothers was a fantastic surprise. The chongqing chicken was very mild, but still an enjoyable dish. We got the personal hotpot which was a soup based hotpot that we added beef too. The soup had a great spicy kick to it. We also got a lamb dry hot pot which had great flavor and even included cauliflower. Finally we got the combo chow fun and yang chow fried rice. Those were well done and enjoyed by the non spicy lovers in the group. Service was better than expected for this restaurant and would recommend stopping in.

Authentic Szechuan cuisine. Recently found this restaurant while staying in Vancouver, WA. Surprisingly it was so great cooking, somehow much better than crossing river to find one in Portland, Oregon. The service was also the best -- the owner sincerely and carefully cooked congee (rice soup) as requested even though it was not on the menu.

I love it here, food is good. My family is Chinese, and my grandparents know almost everyone of the owners of Chinese restaurants here, except this one. It's really good food (especially the green beans) and it's a nice interior, feels like a Chinese restaurant from the Seattle Redmond area

Authentic mala flavor in Sichuan salt & pepper prawns. Yangzhou chaofan tasty, but skimpy on shrimp. Sour & spicy cucumbers very generous. Yay! Check it out.

Following recommendations from local people, I decided to give this place a try. Great place!! The place was clean and spacious. The service was outstanding and they were very helpful. As for the food, it was very good and tasty. The plates are big and you get lots of food. It's a perfect place with a group of 4 or more. Highly recommend this place.

Really excited to try this place and ditched my go to just down the street to try it. Wish I would have just gone to my fav place instead. Food lacked flavor for the Mein and the rolls. M said her tofu was good buy greasy. That's what the problem was with the mein, very oily. Spring rolls had a strange flavor but that might be the cooking oil needs changed or ?? Anyway, left overs were just as oily and discarded soon after reheating. Not in a hurry to go back. I might to try another regular dish I order to check them out again bu no Mein and no spring rolls next time.

Numb-Spicy Heaven Just Across the River -- A True Gem Don't be surprised. Yes, I crossed the river from Portland into Southern Washington with a colleague, and it was absolutely worth it. Szechuan Brothers served one of the most authentic and delicious Szechuan meals I've had in the region. I love numb-spicy (麻辣, má là) food, and this place didn't hold back: 1. Boiled fish in chili oil - Silky fish in a fiery, aromatic broth packed with dried chilis and peppercorns. Intense, balanced, and unforgettable. 2. Lamb skewers - Smoky, tender, and bursting with cumin spice. One of the best versions I've had outside of China. 3. Spicy beef noodle soup - Rich, comforting broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and flavorful beef. 4. Sliced beef & tripe in chili oil - Cold and spicy with amazing texture. Classic and refreshing. 5. Steamed rice - Soft, fluffy, and the perfect neutralizer to balance all that heat. Beyond the food, the service was genuinely good. The vibe inside was inviting, clean, and warm and our waitress was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're anywhere near Portland or Vancouver, cross the bridge and eat here. This place is the real deal, and I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Very crispy crust, and tender chicken. Sauce was ok.. again, not spicy. Eggroll was really large, and tasty. Rice was nicely cooked and didn't taste like it had set in a steamer for hours. I'm allergic to shrimp, so the server gave us extra BBQ pork slices in our won ton soup. The soup was delicious. We appreciate that the soup base wasn't salty. The won tons were cooked perfectly. The soup had vegetables as well. The Mongolian beef was tasty, and went well with the brown rice we ordered. The garden vegetables were slightly overcooked, but plentiful. I loved the light sauce because it didn't overpower the crisp-tender vegetables. We also ordered hot green tea. We appreciated that they offer free refills. The quantity served was greater than expected. Enough for a second dinner at home tomorrow. This will be our go-to place locally for Chinese food. Service was excellent. Plus, they gave my husband a military discount (he's a U.S. Air Force veteran). The restaurant was busy. Not too loud. My husband and I were still able to carry on a conversation. I highly recommend Taste of China for those looking for reasonable prices, a nice selection of Chinese dishes, wonderful service, and good food. It's across the street from Costco, on the same side of the road as Home Depot. We will definitely be back.

I walked in excited, but I can't say that I felt the same way walking out. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this self serve hot pot. Let me walk you through my experience. I walked into a nearly empty restaurant and was greeted promptly. I was excited to see that the place was clean, well decorated, and had a simple drink, appetizer, and broth menu on the TV screens. I mentioned to the host that it was our first time here and that we would need some instructions. He just pointed out that the bowls are here, get your ingredients there, and pay over there. I was expecting a warmer welcome than that, but oh well, I dismissed it since I'm aware of the structure and he was young. The ingredients were neatly placed in containers that were well maintained. They seemed to be kept up with the supply and demand. However, I can easily see the cross contamination between raw meats and vegetables because there weren't additional tongs available to keep the ingredients separated, except for the one tong I was holding. Since all the food will be cooked together, I guess it would be fine...? We walked back and forth multiple times around the ingredients, not because there were too many to choose from, but because there was not enough variety. I was hoping there would be more noodles or more Asian green veggies to pick from, instead of broccoli, lettuce, or cauliflower. I do not feel like there was anything exciting or unique about their ingredients for me to rave about. Once we were done adding ingredients to our bowl, we went up to the register to weigh our food. It was $14.99 per pound for the first 5 soup flavors which were Classic Ma La Tang, Beef Bone, Rich Tomato, Mushroom, and Spicy Szechuan Dry Mix, and $16.99 for the Hot and Spicy Szechuan Dry Pot. I picked my broth and paid, then sat down and waited for my meal. Food did not take long for them to bring out; however, my soup did not come out hot. Was I expecting it to be boiling hot? No. But hot enough for all my food to be cooked well so I don't get sick. If you want a comparison, if you have ever eaten pho at a restaurant, the soup is hot. Well, my soup at Big Hey Hot Pot was not as hot as the pho soup. One thing that I was happy about was the sauce bar. They had everything you can imagine, such as sesame sauce, soy sauce, spicy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, onion, chopped green onion, cilantro, and peanuts. This sauce bar was unlimited and did not count towards your weight. I went back multiple times to get more sauce. Overall, this was not as satisfying as I thought it would be. I wish I had better service, more variety of ingredients to pick from, and hotter soup. Plenty of parking. Cards accepted. I will not be back.
