Americanized Chinese food is not something I eat often as I do prefer eating traditional Chinese food. Though occasionally, I'll eat some Americanized Chinese food. I got a chance to try their combos and to my surprise it was good and with no MSG. Kung Pao Chicken has a great amount of chicken, vegetables, peanuts and spice! The combo was a good portion, came with 5 pieces of fried shrimp, 4 crab puffs, good amount of fried rice and almond chicken-chow mein. I was able to substitute egg roll for fried rice! The almond chicken had a nice flavor with the mixture of vegetables. The crab puff and shrimp was crispy and not oily. This is a great family-owned business, they really care about the customers and the food they serve. They are open for pick up, just order via phone & delivery through door dash. They are taking all the precautions they can to ensure the safety and well-being of the customers.

Lemon sauce and sweet and sour sauce.

We were in the area and we were craving lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork. So we decided to give this place a chance. Lets just say if you want real lemon chicken don't go here. Their "lemon sauce" is just sweet and sour sauce with a piece of lemon in it..... they taste the same. Sounds like they just add stuff to their menu that they can't even make.

Pork chow Mein, pork ribs, sesame chicken, fried rice Hot sour soup perfectly cooked.

It's interesting to read other reviews. I've travelled the world. Including China from Beijing to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The food her is all American based Chinese food and put together very well. It tastes fresh and cooked to order. The seasoning is perfect. They don't use salt in China, so it's nice to have just enough for flavor. If you complain about the food or service, you never came for American Chinese food. Enjoy every experience.

It's cleaner than the old Chinese Garden and the food is not as greasy. But there are better options for Chinese or Asian within minutes.

The "Shoug" needed a new microbrew with a good food menu since Amnesia Brewing closed in 2017. Better yet 54-40 is brewed in Clark County. The Columbian ran a nice article on the co-owners Bolt and Amy Minister and we decided to check it out. https://www.columbian.com/news/2025/feb/01/54-40-brewing-opens-second-pub-with-full-menu-in-washougal/ It's in the Washougal Safeway strip mall close to Hwy 14. It's got a Sports Bar look and feel with enough room for medium large parties. Can't wait to try the pinball machine. :-) We got the large (16") supreme pizza $30 and the Yacht Rocker IPA $7.50. My oh my, that was an awesome pizza. I have a wood fired pizza oven in my back yard and make Napoli style pizzas frequently. Their pizza is made in a gas oven with a ceramic floor so doesn't have char and smoke that a wood oven gives you but the pizza crust is thin, crisp, and tasty. They really cut and timed the onions and bell peppers well with a little crunch, not the usual mushy. Yeah, the IPA was good too but the pizza stole the show. The wait staff was great... really nice and attentive and the manager was friendly and informative. The only downside is the pricing. It's average priced for these inflationary times but too expensive for me to eat here frequently. All that said, it's on my rotation for entertaining out-of-town guests. Highly recommended. Check it out!

Kascadia Brewery & Public House - Great Pizza, But Not Quite a TravelValue™…read more Kascadia may call itself a brewery and public house, but unless you're there for pizza or beer, your options are going to be a bit thin. Sure, they have burgers, but this is clearly a pizza-and-pint operation. I ordered a 16" sausage pizza ($24) and, to be fair, it was really good--crispy crust, flavorful sausage, solid execution all around. That said, $24 for a pizza? I've been living in Europe for the past four years, and over there, some of the best pizza on Earth costs between $5 and $10. I get it--I'm not in Naples anymore, Toto. But still ... it stings. It's a welcome addition to Washougal's food scene, no doubt about that. But here's a suggestion: offer delivery. I only live five minutes away, but I had to drag myself out of the house to pick up my pizza--and I'm sick. If it's not an emergency, I don't go out, and believe me, this wasn't one. So while it's not a CombatCritic TravelValue™, it is a solid, tasty pizza conveniently close to home. CombatCritic Gives Kascadia Brewery & Public House 6 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!

The situation is like this, they really don't have their own parking at all. You have to pay for parking at the nearby park which is also where the bathrooms are. However, you can skip all this by going through the drive through, but it is a bit chaotic as you try to follow all the signs on how to get into the drive through, but be extra careful as kids and adults are paying attention and walk into the drive thru lane without looking. Since there is a wait for the drive through, they are smart to have QR codes to look at the menu while you are in line. They do have done picnic table setups for sitting down but also some tables inside Sugarpine. I think we waited about 10 min on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't so bad of a wait. They do warn you that they serve a 20% service fee on top of your order. However, I don't understand why. I got no table service. Basically a guy took my order and handed me my ice cream cup. I usually give 20% for real table service. Not sure if this is one of those charges they use to give the employees certain benefits? It was unclear to me. I'll be honest, I was very disappointed in the soft serve offerings. It was chocolate or vanilla or a swirl but there was a plant based offered that is a little more which is a bit more interesting. We got one chocolate vanilla swirl and one blueberry ube kids cup (5 oz) The had coconut vanilla as well, but I did not try it. I paid my just over $10 charge which wasn't too bad, but since there is no place to eat these I drove into downtown Troutdale to Harlow Park where it is free to park and plenty of covered tables. While I enjoyed my soft serve, it wasn't really anything special to me that I couldn't find in other Portland locations. In fact, I've had better. I do appreciate the family run business and the local kids that work there, I think it is a great thing, but honestly toss lace seems best for a stop on the way back from a day at the Gorge, else I won't go out of my way for it. Nothing wrong with it as I said, it tasted fine, but it did t blow my mind either. I did not get to try their BBQ offerings so I can't speak for that but it did small good. I know that have $10 offerings for dessert that have toppings and such but for me the base or foundation of it all is more important to me.
