Pan + Grill K Fusion serves the best black bean noodles I've had around here - rich, savory, and full of that unmistakable wok hei flavor. The pork belly is high quality and they don't skimp on the veggies. Their tangsuyuk is another standout, perfectly crispy even when coated in sauce, which is no easy feat (if you know, you know). The wasabi shrimp has a unique, addictive flavor with just the right amount of crunch. And the kimchi burger? Thoughtfully crafted with a soft brioche bun, a juicy, flavorful patty, and kimchi that really pops. Beyond the food, the hospitality makes the experience even better. Sam and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. They are happy to offer recommendations, check in throughout your meal, and always greet you with a smile. Overall this place is amazing. My boyfriend and I have came twice in the same week so that says a lot about the food here. I didn't give it a 5 star because I was a bit disappointed with how little protein they add to their ganjjajang. First time I ordered the pork and then I ordered the seafood on another visit. The taste was amazing and authentic but I was disappointed with the pork because they give you like 6 pieces of pork and there is tiny fried pieces as well but the size of a scab lol. I love the big pieces of veggies in it but it's sad they can't do the same with the protein. Now with the seafood version it was the exact same thing very little protein but mountain of veggies except this time the zucchini was so tiny while they gave me giant blocks of onions again I don't mind that but it's all disproportionate. Nothing to what I have had at different Korean spots in Arizona. Everything else is amazing like their fried rice or bulgogi burgers. Their tteokboki is alright it's a niche type of dish so it won't be for everyone. It was more sweet than I like but that's just a me thing. Overpriced Korean food that tastes nothing like Korean food. I feel duped by all the five star ratings that this restaurant is getting on Yelp. Are people just not knowing what good food is these days? I ordered the black bean noodle, Korean BBQ Ribs and the tempura shrimp. For the premium price they are charging, I expect more. The tempura shrimp came in 4 super tiny pieces that you can pop the entire thing in your mouth. I get that it says Fusion, but you know you're in the wrong place when a Korean restaurant has orange chicken on the menu. I don't feel like I can trust reviews on Yelp anymore. Do yourself a favor and hop on over to Tigard for better Asian cuisine. Even food in HMart in Tigard has better food and it's cheaper. I don't even live in PNW, but I know this much. read more

My friend recommended this place a long time ago & I continued to see it on social media. Finally made it over there. They have lunch specials & best of all pictures of a lot of their items. I decided to go with the spicy chicken lunch plate with hopes that my mouth wouldn't be on fire. It came out looking pretty red, I was a little nervous. We've enjoyed the food here several times and like supporting small businesses. If you are one that loves to start your Christmas season early, then you'll be pleasantly welcomed with Christmas music and the beginnings of a tree they just put up. Today we ordered 2 items to go since someone needed a nap. We saw on IG the kimchi bulgogi burgers and had to try it in the beef and pork. The photo only shows one but it came with 2 (the other got devoured before photo). It was really good, just beware there are some fresh sliced chilies with the kimchi tucked in there. My second time here. I love this place. I'm surprised this place isn't packed for how good it is. I know they are a newer restaurant but people YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE!! Casual atmosphere. What a cute new Korean place in the area! We don't have enough of these in Vancouver, and this place is a special one! They don't have a large menu, which in my opinion is a good thing. You can only specialize in so many items, right? If you're looking to explore more Korean items that aren't just Bulgogi overload, this is the place for you! I can't comment too much on the service, because it is self serve. You walk up to the counter to order, get your own waters, bus your own table, etc. Food comes out super fresh and relatively quick! We tried this place on a recommendation of a friend and it was highly worth it. We tried the black bean noodles with pork and the yulingi chicken. Both options were absolutely incredible. I came here for a late lunch and was surprised with how busy it was. I think they are still doing soft opening when I went. This restaurant serves Korean Chinese fusion dishes. You come in, order then find a seat. They have photos of the items they serve on the counter but not everything pictured, so I would also check their menu. I tried their tangsuyuk meal which is sweet and sour pork with rice and a salad. The pork was juicy and fried nicely, I like that the sauce came on the side. You can dip the pork in it or pour the sauce on top of the pork, really depends on the preference. In general tangsuyuk isn't too salty, so it's a bit lighter in flavor but I like the sweet and sour sauce that came with it. There was a good portion of pork as well. The salad was iceberg lettuce with some shredded cabbage on a poppyseed dressing. I'll be back to try their Jajangmyeon, and Jjamppong next time. We came here bc we were craving jajangmyeon and saw that the Korean mama loved it and she was right! We happened to come in during happy hour which was a happy little bonus. We ordered way too much food but it was worth it bc we loved everything!!! The leftovers are going to be great for lunch tomorrow. The chef and staff were super nice. My party and I ordered the jajangmyeon, yulingi, tteokbokki, and the spicy shrimp and I loved everything I ordered. Wow! Kept seeing this pop up on my feed and decided we should check it out. The inside is bright and colorful. The menu is a menu boards so it's a little confusing. I picked mine based on the picture alone since there were several other dishes on that board and only one pic, but staff was helpful in naming it and suggesting items to try. Loved how crispy the fry on both chicken dishes were even after the sauce was poured over them they stayed crispy! The dishes are huge we ate our fill and still had leftovers for later. WOW! I'm beyond impressed with Pan + Grill K Fusion. As their (not easy to remember) name suggests, this is a Korean / Chinese fusion restaurant, and everything I've had from here has been absolutely spectacular! Even the generally pedestrian Chicken Katsu here is PERFECT, and the sauce is unlike any I've ever had anywhere else (AMAZINGLY flavorful and complex). Service is fast, and staff is extremely friendly and helpful with making recommendations. I've not dined in yet, but all to-go orders have been 100% accurate and superb. Portion size is very generous, especially considering the awesome quality and comparatively low price point. The interior is clean, inviting, and modern. Their storefront marquee sign is a backlit orange color scheme, and looks really cool at night (weird thing to comment on, I know, but it is very unusual, and works incredibly well). I ordered jajangmyeon, tteokbokki, and general tso's chicken to go. the chicken was crispy but had too much sauce so got soggy fast--i would order sauce on the side. the sauce was also too sweet, typical for what americans seem to get/expect with such flavors. however, the jajangmyeon seafood was rich and deeply developed flavor. Likewise, the tteokbokki was good and included large fish cake slices. it as flavorful with moderate heat and really nice chew on the rice cakes. i will be back to try more. read more

Very disappointed and even angry about this dining experience after the chef/owner insulted my parents to my face. Backstory. I first heard about this place on a foodie Instagram account months ago and I saved it because my dad's favorite food is jajangmeon and my mom's favorite food is jjampong. They live in small town Indiana where food choices are limited so I was really excited to try this place with them during their visit to see me in Portland. We ordered the jjampong, seafood jajangmeon, and the Kung Pao Tofu. It took longer than expected to get our meals, but I didn't mind because they seemed short staffed. My mom's jjampong arrived first. The soup had no flavor other than spice, and the guy at the table next to us overheard our comments and he said his was flavorless as well. When our server came out, we mentioned this. The chef/owner came out to apologize and said he forgot to include the chicken broth in the soup. He asked if we wanted a refund or if we wanted a new one. We understand that mistakes happen and we wanted to give him another try, so we asked for a new one. Afterwards, our seafood jajangmeons came out. My dad and I enjoyed that dish overall, though it was very light on seafood. My mom's new jjampong arrived and the soup base was definitely tastier, but the crab served with the dish was undercooked--stringy and partially raw. Then the Kung pao tofu arrived. The tofu had a good flavor, but the rice was old. At that point I was very disappointed by the whole experience. I went up to the server and I told her very politely that I felt bad asking, but considering the experience as a whole, I would like a partial refund. The chef came out to the table and I explained the issues again. I said that I felt bad asking for a refund and that I wasn't asking for a full refund--just something to make things right because we were really disappointed by the entire experience. He then responded by saying that my parents had a sour look on their face and that they wanted to be unhappy about the meal (or something close to that...I was shocked that he was being insulting). He also said that the rice was fine--like my dude, I'm Korean and I eat rice all the time so I know the difference between fresh and old rice. He then said he's been in the restaurant business for 15 years so he wasn't giving me a refund. He said in these situations he normally offers a free drink, but that he refused to refund me at all. I had been very polite the entire conversation, but at that point I walked out the door. I always hate leaving bad reviews because I know the restaurant business is tough, especially in this economy. But honestly I'm incredibly angry about how I was treated. I gave the chef/owner honest feedback and an opportunity to try to make things right, and I was treated with extreme rudeness. Place your order at the back counter, find a table for your party and wait for your dish. This is not your typical Korean restaurant, there is no Bachan with your meal. It's a Korean Chinese fusion kind of place. We ordered spicy garlic shrimp ( asked for minimal amount of spicyness), Korean ramen with spam that comes with a side of rice, chicken katsu ( not on the menu, it was meh), bulgogi, japchae with beef. The bulgogi looked like the japchae with the noodles. The garlic shrimp was nice , needed a heavier dose of sliced garlic, nice crunch . Korean Ramen, asked for mild, well Korean mild is a bit more spicy . Lots of veggies and ramen, makes a filling meal. You can add the leftover soup onto the rice. I never had bulgogi with stir fried veggies, guessing that's where the fusion is coming in. The japchae noodles were hidden under the veggies, tasted a different than the regular japchae, was hankering for old school japchae. It's nice to have a genuine Korean/Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. We no longer have to go across the river to find this type of cuisine. We ordered quite an assortment of food. Everything was very good and fresh; flavor is very modern and not too salty. If you're getting jjajangmyun and want more flavor, we noticed that the pork belly one had a little more flavor than the seafood one. The service was fantastic. Food was midland... nothing spectacular. And not near close to the photos. Food took 45 minutes and only half of it came. Ten minutes later the rest. The drink fountains all broken but for one. No sauces provided for plain white rice, nothing on the tables or around. 27 bucks a plate for a third rice, a third iceberg with mayo dressing, and a third just basic pork and chicken stir fried.
