Having a place to wash your car is important as next to owning a home, your car is the largest investment. So keeping it looking great should be a part of maintenance. This location has self service power washers and they even offer annual smog testing and DMV registration which can be a huge time saver. The down side I experienced was related to the car wash side since I didn't use their smog inspection services. The power car wash has user selected programs - soap power wash, pre-rinse, spot free rinse, wax, and soap brush. The problem was there was hardly any soap when selected and when choosing rinse, no matter if it was final or pre-rinse - there seemed to be some soap leaking through resulting in spots when the car dried. Not really the car wash fault but we live in 4x4 country and many off roaders use the car wash to wash off all that stuck mud and grime. This usually results in a super dirty car was bay and flooded. So maintenance needs to happen more often during muddy season. Would I use them again? Probably not as there are so many options within a few miles. read more

I've been getting Smog Check in this place for years now and customer service remains excellent. Super quick and easy process for the smog check (I was in and out of there in 10 mins) and you can register your vehicle at the same time. However, if you have a tax exempt like I do, they're unable to register your car for you. Nonetheless, staff is always friendly, helpful and attentive. They also have a self sercive car wash and vacuuming that I have yet to try. read more

I never smogged a car in Iowa, but west coasters have to. I thought I bought a combo smog and registration renewal on Groupon, but only bought the smog. Darn it. So I drove to the other side of town to use it. Oh well. This spot was efficient and the employee was quite friendly. I was able to smog and register my car at the same time saving me much time and having to go to the DMV. If you live in Sparks I would recommend it. We go here often for car washes as it's close to our house. It's best to go as a team because the car wash is paid for by the second. It's a great car wash but we learned the first time around that the provided scrub brush scratches your vehicles exterior ever so lightly--still leaving marks. Go save some money and run over to the Smith's and buy a car wash rag of sorts. read more

I have used Green Tree Car was for years getting my vehicle smogged and registered with the DMV. Service is always quick and efficient.

A week ago I stopped in here while I in the area shopping to inquire about having a smog check for our car that is due every year. A friendly man told me it would be $26 and if I want to have them send the certificate to DMV then it is an extra $10. The extra $10 is certainly worth it rather than going to the DMV except that some places don't charge for that, and $26 is a bit on the higher side from most places. I decided to just drive the 3 extra miles and go to a place that was far LESS in price. Thus I went to a competitor that charged just $10 for the emission inspection and another $6 for the inspection report that included electronically sending the certificate to the DMV immediately. I was able to login to the DMV site minutes later and pay the registration fee. All done. Bottom line is that my smog check and DMV submission cost just $16 which is well less than half the $36 I was quoted here for the same task. And at the competitor, I was in and out of there in 11 minutes !!!!! Check around before getting a smog check. Prices are all over the map and some are as high as $40. This place is close to that upper end. read more

The only smog place I have been who knew exactly were the module to plug the reader was on my motorhome. No more taking the engine cover off and hooking up to sparkplug wires. This place is horrible. Go somewhere else. The guy working the bay was rude not versed on the laws on VINs. Refused to honor my Groupon and smog the car. Drove to express smog at prater/sparks and got the car smogged and registered for $4 more than the Groupon "special". Small print added another fee to the cost.
