I tell you the truth. I bought a 2002 Buick LeSabre in May of 2000 . It had 151,000 miles on it . Martin has done everything on it since I've owned it . I barely have 227,000 on it now . Everything that's gone wrong with it is only because it's older the pricing here is so fair . I wouldn't be driving if it wasn't for this fellow . I broke both of my legs on a job December 1st, 2023 . And I haven't been able to work since then. Well my legs are healed, but who wants to hire somebody pushing 60 when there's young men in their 20s looking for work . I just took it there this week and had 2,300 of work done to it . Mar'tin is a nice man, he helped me out with my AC blower. Although when they had my car and working on the vehicle, the drivers window regulator broke and I had to pay for that. That opening up of my door, left a gap between the door and trim. When I closed the door the window shook. I called Mar'tin and he came to my work and fixed what his guy couldn't./Didn't. They couldn't even do that, but charged me anyway! on top of that, they dented my extremely expensive chrome headers/side pipes when they put it on the lift! To add insult to injury, they loosened every single bolt on my rear end, so it would leak, so I would bring it back, (yea right)! so they could charge me again!!! AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!! Passenger window regulator failed and window fell all the way into door, Martin gave me a reasonable quote for the repair and stored my vehicle inside to keep out of the rain for the night since it was just before closing. After reading the reviews I decided to double check my vehicle to see if it was placed inside like Martin promised it was left outside and it started raining. I called Martin and I retrieved my vehicle Martin did not place vehicle inside like he promised and the interior of my vehicle got we. I would not recommend using this repair shop. read more

I took my 1995 Toyota 4Runner in for engine replacement. Martin and his crew went above and beyond to swap my 3.0 engine and replaced water pump, timing belt and pack rat damage to get it running to its optimal performance. This place should be avoided for poor service and poorly trained mechanics. Made Thursday appt. for Monday oil change. Gave make model , etc. and they said they had an oil filter for it. Volvo S60. Got there early. Took forty minutes before they dropped the oil. Then discovered that they did not have the filter. Took 30 minutes to get. Owner's son there all the time doing nothing. Aloof. Finally completed service after one hour and forty minutes. Totally unacceptable. Thus is a typical "shade tree" automotive service. Go elsewhere! No service report. I live in Wisconsin, but was in Green Valley for a quick visit recently to check on my elderly parents during the COVID crisis. I arrived on a Friday and discovered late on Saturday that one of their vehicles needed routine service. Since I was leaving late in the day on Monday, I needed to find a place to get their oil changed quick and in a hurry. Green Valley Automotive was my first call. They weren't able to book me right away, so I booked elsewhere - but I received a call a short time later when they had a cancellation earlier in the day. Sold! The manager who looked after us (Mike) was wonderful. He handled our service very efficiently and was so kind and patient with my dad, who has dementia and likes to chat about his many years in the car business. The waiting area had comfortable seating and the restroom was immaculately clean. It would be so easy for a business to try to take advantage of an out-of-towner with time constraints and an elderly gentleman - but there was none of that at Green Valley Automotive. The charges for a full synthetic oil change, plus oil and air filters, were exactly what they should be. Surprise Surprise..water pump death in my Honda CR- V as I am visiting in Sahuarita. I went out to run an errand and my car notified me how unhappy it was. I looked at Yelp and found Martin and his number, along with excellent reviews. I called and was warmly greeted and invited to come immediately. I was given a ride back to my cousin's and within 2 hours I received a call with the diagnosis and pricing. I asked if he could also change the thermostat as well as the water pump that had crapped out. The pricing was more than fair and the times for labor was as expected. The car was completed by 4:30 and I picked it up and am completely satisfied. I will be here for awhile and will need regular services before getting back on the road. I will be going back to Green Valley, as I also had such a feeling of honesty and trustworthiness. read more

Saw the high ratings and since I had a problem with another Green Valley auto shop decided to try this business. Same problem. Just in for a safety check and oil change before I drove back North for the summer. Thank my lucky stars I have an honest auto repair shop (27 years) up North. I was told I needed additional numerous repairs to the tune of approximately $850. I asked for a copy of needed repairs took it back North showed it to the repair shop owner after he done a safety check and he chuckled and said none of these repairs are needed. I have read a few other 1 star reviews out here and they had the same issue. I would recommend getting a second opinion if you don,t know for sure. read more

I understand being busy but the fact that I was set to have it done and then when I showed up they said I would need to leave it overnight. Was looking for reliable mechanic to bring car in when needed. I went in needing a clockspring replaced. Called ok the replacement went to pick up car. He couldn't receive my payment method so I left to get money. I come back and pay as the owner and another customer decided to make fun of me for the credit card I tried paying with as he laughed about it with the customer I paid and went on my way. Had to turn around and go back with my car pulling to the right. He said he'd check the tires and I may need an alignment. I went back inside and he stated he doesn't do alignments. He didn't call to let me know which means not one person took it for a test drive. Or could tell me I needed further work. As for reliable I would not go back and respectfulness I would recommend going somewhere else. He would insult one customer to make another customer happy. They either don't do alignments or don't do alignments for me but they advertise they do alignments. I walked in as the guy was paying and he jokingly asked if he could pay for his stuff using the card that I initially asked. He looked at me laughed Martin then looked at me pointed his fingers right at me and started to laugh. Thinking I'm gonna laugh at you trying to make fun of me. Then making comments I don't know why people use those cards anymore hardly anywhere accepts them. Then when Martin calls to "apologize" to me he says oh that's just "skip" take him as he is. No my problem is the ownership for one to think it's ok laugh about it then act like they did nothing wrong. It was embarrassing. Since you cant see what the problem is I'll warn people that they may have the same issues coming in there. Martin solved mine and everyone's nightmare....try to start your car...dead battery. Add to that being a 70-something single female late for an appointment. Called Martin, whom I have used many times in the past. He arranged for a service to (hopefully) jump-start my car and get to GVA or to be towed. When the jump-start worked and I could get to GVA within the hour (of this conversation), he assured me a new, reliable battery would be ready by the time I could finish my appointment commitment. As I waited for GVA to make sure my battery was installed, my radio had its "channels" and my car clock was set properly, (who does that in this day and age?!), I observed the following in the waiting room....a complementary ride home for a woman and child, a free oil/change. drain? Really nice folks - Made an appt which is recommended since they have so many 5-star reviews obviously people want to come here. I had a basic LOF and the Tire Rotation is included in the price. Martine and Mike, I believe own or run the place. I was in and out within 45 minutes, they check out the fluid and filters with synthetic oil which my car needs it was less than $60.00. Back in August I bought a isuzu trooper knowing it needed some work done. So I brought it over to Green Valley Automotive because they did good work on my vehicles in the past. Well after two weeks I call to see what's going on with my vehicle and I was informed that they were waiting on parts. Another two weeks go by and I get a call from Martin who is the owner that my vehicle was stolen. Come to find out he didn't have it parked in the lot. To make things right he gives me $2800 in credit towards repairs to make up for it getting stolen after telling me his insurance won't cover it. Now three weeks later it's now October 9th. I buy a new Vehicle and want to get all the fluids changed so I call to make an appointment. A day before the appointment he texts me telling me he is extremely busy and had to reschedule me. So me being me said no worries. Now a week goes by and I bring it in. I was then told it would take a week or so. I left it there for them to work and just to make sure it was in the lot this time I drive by at night after they closed and it is but not really, he was using my vehicle to block the lot. So I come by the next day to get it. Now fast forward to today I made an appointment to bring it in Monday November 29th, yesterday November 26th I texted Martin to confirm my appointment and was told he wasn't sure he can fit me in due to being off for four day. I called Martin on a Wednesday morning panicked because I was visiting Green Valley from Kansas and hit a coyote the night before. It broke my radiator among other things. He told me to tow it there, and he would run a diagnostic. He let me know everything that was wrong and told me he would have to order parts from California. I purchased a used truck in Green Valley and when it broke down 5 miles from the seller I had it towed to Green Valley Automotive. Martin and the other staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Throughout an inspection they found a lot wrong with the truck to the point that I then had it towed back to the seller for a refund. Martin very kindly did not charge me anything for the inspection work that was done because he felt bad for my situation.
