I was there for an oil change and tire rotation. When I paid for the service, I was told that I needed front brakes, as there was little life left to them, as well as boots for the CV joints. The bill was estimated at around $1500 give or take. Since I was leaving the area, I said I would look into it. I made an appointment to have the above mentioned items checked by a local shop here, and was told that the front brakes were NEW and the boots were intact. No further work needed to be done, especially what I was told was needed. It's sad when a business like Mr. Automotive takes advantage of anyone, since they know you can't diagnose your own vehicle. I brought my car in because the "check engine light" was on. The mechanics at Mr. Automotive told me that rodents had eaten the wires on my "knock sensor". $627 later my check engine light was off, but my "check gas cap" light was on (a problem I didn't have before I brought it in). I took it back to Mr. Automotive and explained the problem. They looked at the car and told me the gas cap was dirty, they cleaned it off and that the issue was resolved. Needless to say, the light came back on and it was not fixed. Took my car to another mechanic today and they fixed the problem Mr. Automotive caused. Mr. Automotive broke my "vacuum canister", but did not take responsibility for this, lied to me and let me leave. I spent another $200 to fix the problem they caused. I will never go to Mr. Automotive again. They broke my car, lied about it to my face, and I have 0 trust in them or their abilities. Pulled in with camper in tow- with a flashing check engine light (nobody's idea of fun). Not what we needed as we started our family vacation. Tom came out right away and assessed the situation. I wish this shop was in Tucson. Five star service! I was very appreciative of their ability to get me in and out of the shop quickly. I arrived needing a new battery, but had an appointment 45 minutes out... they let me pull right up to the bay and got started. Inside the shop is a great place to wait:) it's set up like a living room, so lots of comfortable seating... there's even a shop dog named Toby that comes to visit. If you end up having to wait a bit, there's a food truck that uses part of the parking lot and you can pop over there for a bite . The owner Dave was really sweet and I worked with a woman as well as a mechanic who were all very nice. I don't usually enjoy any visit to the mechanic but I left smiling:) If I need work done again and I'm in the Green Valley area, I'll definitely use this shop again. read more

I took my car in for an oil change. I am hesitant to wait inside any business these days so I said I would wait outside. There is a small pocket of shade off to the side of the front door. So I walked out there fully expecting to stand. The woman who works the front desk brought out 2 chairs. One for me and one for my purse. She offered to bring me water. In my opinion this is 'beyond the usual and customary' customer service I expected. No reason to drive to Tucson when I can get great service in Green Valley. read more
