Picked back up truck on 5/24/25, again about a month later, same issue with shifting. I called him to let him know the issues came up again. I had just moved to TX when the truck started shuttering again. He advised me that I needed to bring truck back to him. I took truck to local shop, a complete inspection of transmission was done, including pictures of the entire components of the transmission. Several issues were found and is documented. I have asked for a full refund so I can get my truck fixed correctly. I highly recommend not using this shop.

I don't know if that was the case for the women's restroom, but I am a man, and that is not my place to be. I know this issue is out of the hands of most people working at that location, but the one who has the power to make a change, there is plenty of space in the means room to add the table. No one ever called, text, or emailed me to reschedule. I called back the morning of my appointment and was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I called back and he tried to put me on hold again. I understand you can be busy, but I just needed to know what was going on with my appointment. He stated that he had a customer and was busy, and my appointment was probably canceled, but that was enough for me. The first incident was last year for my oil change and tire rotation they did my oil change and called to ask me if I want new air filters, but when I went to get my car they said they could not unlock my tires for the rotation. Extremely Disappointed - Dishonest, Overpriced, and Poor Workmanship…read more I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with BrakeMax was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the staff was more interested in upselling unnecessary services than actually addressing the issues I came in for. They insisted that my transmission fluid was black and needed replacing, that my serpentine belt was cracked, and that my spark plugs and coolant needed urgent replacement--not to mention the supposed urgency of having matching hub caps. Here's the problem: I had already recently replaced the transmission fluid, coolant, and spark plugs elsewhere. When I questioned them about the serpentine belt, they claimed it was cracked. I asked them to show me the cracks, and unsurprisingly, they couldn't point out a single one. Unfortunately, I did agree to have them replace my front brake pads and rotors, which cost me $700--a price I later learned was excessive for just the front brakes. Even worse, I had to take my car to another mechanic shortly after because the work BrakeMax did was sloppy and unsafe. I was informed that the rotors they installed were warped and appeared rusted and old, which explains the ongoing issues I had with braking after the service. BrakeMax claims to value customer feedback. They claim to provide exceptional customer service and fair, transparent pricing. My experience proves otherwise. I found them dishonest, overpriced, and careless with the quality of their work. If BrakeMax chooses to respond to this review, I hope it's not with a copy-paste apology or an invitation to "discuss my experience further" in private. I've already spoken with your staff--you had your chance to make it right, and you chose not to.
