I recently bought a new firearm and hadn't shot it until I went to this place. The range safety officer (or whatever you wanna call it) saw that I was a little nervous and I was getting a feel for my new firearm. I was asked if I had ever shot a firearm before, I explained that yes I have shot firearms hinting that I know what gun safety is. I never did anything to jeopardize the safety of the range, barrel down range at all times. Always treating the firearm as if it was loaded. I said I'm just not experienced with pistols, I explained that im in the military and Ive had range days with M4's ect. And if anyone has shot an M4 knows that it's cake compared to a lot of other firearms. I was asked if I would like a runaround of my new firearm and I said yes because I genuinely did want a runaround im not gonna lie about knowing exactly how the firearm works, i wanted help for my knowledge. But then proceeded to pretty much accuse me of stolen valor saying im lying about my military service and proceeded to gossip with other folks on the range about it claiming im lying about being in the military and he's never heard of someone in the military that has never shot a pistol. Then as we walk out when we were leaving he was speaking out loud to his coworkers claiming im a liar and he doesn't like liars. I never lied about my experience with my pistol or pistols in general, I was upfront when asked and genuinely wanted a runaround of my new pistol. All I got out of it was being accused of lying about my service, the worker breathing down my neck the entire time and being targeted instead of receiving some tips that I asked for in the first place. I've been here before for target practice but decided to do a renewal this time as I was due and they had plenty of classes. Price was reasonable and the class was a great refresher with George, George was great, super knowledgable. I picked up slot of information. DO NOT BUY FROM OR USE FOR TRANSFER! Jerry and Ashley here are rude desperate folks who tried stealing my special weapon custom made by throwing roadblocks, hostile attitudes and inconsistent murky 'rules' for a myriad of made up rules. Due to lack of inventory, I ordered online beautiful weapons GVR could never afford to carry. Jerry has tried recently to acquire gun by adding fees that never existed! ATF and Brownells complaints filed as audit of fees schedule needs be done due to varying new imposed fees by Jerry Tuminia in desperate act to secure these weapons and cover up possible use of transfers by staff for after hours use. Buyer Beware. In addition Christopher, you must be the officer that wants the weapon as Jerry Tuminia is owner. Crooked corruption and emails to news stations will xpose the corruption. Email will show, as lawyer laughs, as remedy was given, but Jerry got mad Ashley called to task. Now retaliation? No, I've got your staff on audio tape. You all should be careful of Jerry. I'm a local and have been coming to this range for years with my own guns. It's normally excellent, however, the other day I wanted to rent a gun for my mother to test out as she was looking for something new to carry. And I must say, the rental experience was very disappointing. When it came to renting a gun they charged per each person who would shoot it. They also had you purchase their ammo which was roughly 50% more expensive than if you bought it on your own. In addition to all that they had an instructor follow us in and essentially supervise us over our shoulder the entire time and we were not allowed to shoot any other guns besides the rental until all the ammo for it was expended. Overall I found this rental experience to be extremely expensive and unnecessarily invasive when compared to my experiences at other ranges. I am not a novice shooter by any means but I do occasionally opt to rent a gun so that I may make a more educated decision when it comes to future purchases. I can wholeheartedly say my next rental will not be at this range read more

This place is great! Got a living social deal for a couple clips with a MP5 and 9mm handgun. I cant lie I was a little nervous when my wife laid down a hail of steady machine gun fire! But the instructor was great and made sure everything was safe even for a beginner shooter. Tons of fun and a great breakup of your routine to come pop off some rounds and see who has the best aim. I went to Green Valley Range to renew my CCW. They are well organized and the facility is clean. You take your shooting test first and then the class. Our instructor Jessica has a strong background with firearms knowledge. I enjoyed her class. I would recommend getting your CCW or renewal from them. I went a couple times to use their range prior to the class. The people are friendly! They have a gun cleaning service however, this service wasn't available at this time. Hands down the best range I've been too! As far as I'm concerned, GVR is top-notch! Lane price is extremely reasonable, plus, you get a complimentary drink, free targets, AND ultra-sonic gun cleaning! I've never seen any range offer this for only $20.00. They have just about everything you can imagine you need for shooting including a store, guns, ammo, holsters, targets, masks, & T-shirts. You even get complimentary soda with your range time! Came here with two other coworkers. Absolutely loved the staff here! Nice and clean facility. Awesome teacher discount compared to the Clark County ranges and could get in sooner!!! Instructor George was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, kept the class engaging and on task. There were plenty of opportunities for questions and breaks. We never got bored. We all passed the test with flying colors because he teaches what you need to know, can use notes and learn so much more. Maybe we can have a professional development training, team building meeting here or a teacher back to school party!! That would be so much more fun.
