They continue to be my go-to for oil changes and tire repair. I don't know why I always get tire leaks on the passenger side, what's with that?? It's become a regular flow now, filling out the little form on the register, parking my car as close as I can, and then making my way back home. In the winter time though, getting there at 8 AM is no fun, sheesh. Between school and the brisk air... but anyways, they've gotten a lot better about calling consistently (in my opinion), and I still appreciate those coupons. I do wish there was some way (architecturally I don't think it's possible) to get more parking designated for the garage versus dealing with the gas station. Don't patron this place! I usually go to Firestone to get my car serviced but I decided to give Sonoco a chance since I could just walk from there. I took my car to them and left. I expected to get a call from them about the price, eta, ect from them but nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of Covid but after 2 days of waiting I gave them a call to see what the issue was. It turns out my car was ready 2 days prior and I didn't receive any call about price, that it was done; nothing! So I walked over to Sonoco, paid for the work and went to my car. To my shock I saw that the passenger side window was down. I went to look at the open window and saw that there was a huge pool of water on the passenger side of the car. I had my dog with me who was tired and thirsty, so I went home and I immediately called Sononco to speak to the manager. He wasn't there so I left a message with their employee telling him that there was damage with my car and needed to speak to the manager ASAP. I called several times over the last 3 weeks trying to get a hold of the manager but they keep giving me the run-around. They were negligent with leaving my car window open, not calling me about the work, and causing my car to have very bad water damage. BEWARE going to them. I was better off going to Firestone or somewhere else. read more

I wouldn't choose to take a car anywhere else for servicing. They once fixed something on the vehicle and the problem recurred shortly afterwards, and they replaced the part again with a new one at no charge at all. It's so refreshing to find an honest place you can trust to take your car, especially as a woman. I recommended this place to my female friend who was being quoted massive amounts by her dealership and - what seemed amiss - being told she needed to replace her timing belt for the 4th time in 6 years. I encouraged her to get a second opinion here. She took her car and they assessed it, cited only two of the several items the dealer said needed repair (and the timing belt was fine), and they did it for a fraction of the cost. In discussing what her dealer had tried to sell her on they said they have enough honest business and don't need the dishonest. My husband has a degree in mechanical engineering, though it's not his current field. He's able to do some work on cars himself and has a better idea of what needs to be done and what makes sense in servicing, repair, and maintenance than I do. He says this is the best garage he has ever dealt with. We have an old car with over 150,000 that's had a lot/pretty much everything replaced by either my husband or various dealers in MA and MD. When he took the car in for a weird vibration at a certain speed the guys at Sunoco told him to order new tyros online and gave him the website to go to, and to bring them to them to save some money, since that's what they'd do if he told them to order them. I like the 5 star description - for me, when women can walk in and feel confident they won't be ripped off because they look like they know nothing about car maintenance, and when someone with mechanical knowledge is equally satisfied, and the mechanics are genuine good people, it is as good as it gets. read more

They are invariably fast, accurate, fair, inexpensive, and super communicative and friendly. Today, with no appointment (but a trip coming up this afternoon), they fit me in without a wait to check a wheel vibration. Drove the car, put it on the lift, cleared me to go -- and refused payment. Before moving to Arizona, I had Jens look at my car one last time so I could sell it in tip-top shape. He was more than happy to oblige, and I recommended him so highly to the new owner that they've been back to Jens for routine maintenance. My girlfriend and I also brought her car here, as well, right before our big move (which included a cross-country road trip) to make sure everything was in order. Excellent car and customer service. Reasonably priced compared to other service centers. One time I had an issue with a part that had been replaced in another location less than a year before. Instead of charging me to repair it again they recommended I go back to the original place and have it repaired under warranty. That saved me quite a bit of money. read more

As good as it get's! Today I called to say I had a nail in my tire, told them what I needed and asked how much it would cost, they told me the price and if there was a lift open, it wouldn't be long. I went over there ( very close to lunch time the cashier warned me) , there was a lift open ...I was literally in an out in a few minutes and the quote stayed true...they even put the hubcap back on. read more

I've been using them for 4 years now between two vehicles. Always impeccable and very honest. I've always thought about writing a review and never did it, but this time I must. The end part of my exhaust fell off on my old GMC truck. Everything from the muffler to the tail pipe. For some very wrong reason I assumed that specialists like Midas or Meineke were going to be cheaper for this kind of job because I thought they might have have access to better deal as far as parts. I was so wrong. The Meineke on Rhode Island Av quoted me a $425 Job after carefully looking at the truck on a lift. Midas in lanham quoted me $ 500. Greenbelt Sunoco did it for $ 250. In the past they've always been great, meticulous and very accommodating and I always thought I should write a good review. I still feel a little bad for I having dared to check Midas and Meineke. I recently bought my first car, and of course within weeks of buying it my check engine light comes on. Rather than take it all the way back to the dealership that is over an hour away I decided to pop in to Greenbelt Service Center to have them take a peek at it. They were fantastic! I waited less than 5 minutes before one of the guys came running out in the pouring rain to take a look at it. He did what he could and then sent another guy out to explain to me what was going on. He told me the light meant something about my fuel emissions, and that the dealer I bought it from would have to fix it, but to hurry up because the warranty would only last another 2,000 miles, and it would cost a few hundred dollars for them to fix it in their shop. I don't think I've EVER had someone be this honest and send a customer AWAY because it was better for me! And since they didn't do any work, they didn't try to charge me for anything! I know this was just a small problem, and I didn't actually have any work done on my car, but as far as honesty, they were awesome. They will be my go-to from now on because I will be comfortable that I am not being taken advantage of. read more

I recently moved from OH to Greenbelt temporarily for work. I hate getting work done on a vehicle b/c I am a woman. I typically take my brother with me but that was not possible. I bought a vehicle in VA and took it here to be inspected. They were so honest with everything, and I would have never thought that the fender flares not covering the tires would be a problem. The gentleman told me he could not approve it. I understand that his reputation is on the line and, frankly, I am glad he goes by the law. He said he would not charge me for the inspection. That shocked me. I am in the process of getting the jeep to standard and while I am living in Greenbelt this is where I will take my Jeep to be serviced. read more
