What a rip off! I kept waiting for the tiling to be finished but I had trouble with Kevin communicating with me. He should have contacted me and have been honest about a time when the job he was paid to to would be completed. Instead I got excuses and lies from him saying he would come over to complete the job but never showed up or contacted me as to why he did not. I think he and Phil were working together to rip me off. Phil probably got money from Kevin. These two clowns would make great politicians. I have contacted D&H plumbing about their employee but they seem to not care. Do not give your hard earned money to either D&H plumbing or Armstrong and sons. I hope this review helps someone else avoid the frustration of dealing with crooked contractors.

It was a pretty big job and was kind of expecting it to be a hassle based on past experiences I've had with other contractors, but this one actually went super smooth start to finish. From the first visit they gave off a solid vibe. Straightforward about what would be done and what kind of timeline to expect. I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell or talk in circles like some others do. Once the work started they kept that same energy. showed up when they said they would and stayed on track. I've had jobs before where people just vanish for days or don't say anything when things change, but with these guys, I always knew what was happening. Communication was probably one of the best parts. They'd actually check in and give me heads up if something needed a decision or if a delivery was running late. I made a couple last minute changes during the process (moved a light, swapped a fixture, small stuff) and they didn't act like it was a huge issue. they just worked it in and kept moving. no drama. Quality wise everything turned out great. the tile work in the shower is super clean, no uneven edges or grout lines. cabinets lined up perfectly, paint was solid. You can tell they actually care about doing it right. Price wise, they weren't the cheapest quote i got but definitely not the highest either. and after seeing how it all turned out, the value was totally there. no sketchy surprises on the invoice either, which I appreciate. Overall just a really good experience. they made a big renovation feel low stress and everything turned out. Will100% recommended them to a couple friends.

We hired Alex's company to completely renovate our two bathrooms (an ensuite and a hallway bath)…read more VERY satisfied with the work he and his team did for us, taking two very outdated and ugly spaces and making them beautiful and 100% more enjoyable. The project was largely cosmetic -- no relocation of plumbing aside from the shower pipes in the master -- but we did remove everything and replace it new. I was responsible for purchasing most fixtures (vanities, mirrors, lighting, faucets, etc) while Alex showed me available finishes (tile) at his showroom over on the eastside and brought those to the jobsite. While it was daunting searching all of the internet for those elements, I did like having that level of control with the design. Keep that in mind, though, if you are NOT comfortable making styling decisions. Alex communicated so well with me and my husband and among his subcontractors too. We were never surprised by a schedule change or an unexpected absence. Julia, who runs the office, also was quick about making updates to paperwork and replying to my questions. Compared to other bids for the project, Alex's pricing was the most competitive and I feel totally satisfied with the value we paid. Without a doubt will ask him to bid on our next big remodel. Ultimately our projects ended on time: one full month from start to finish. Although the first half of the reno ran a little long, Alex and his team made up time with the second half to meet the firm deadline (houseguests).

A little about our project - Three years ago we began planning our business, a pet supply boutique and grooming studio. As part of our business plan process, we needed to be able to estimate construction costs, so I searched for contractors online and reached out to J Boyer Construction who picked up the phone and we began to discuss the range of pricing a project like this might cost us. Two years ago, we began actively searching for a suitable location and several times. We included Jim on walkthroughs of possible stores as we trusted his opinion on the challenges that could arise in the buildout. At the beginning of 2022, we found a suitable storefront and J Boyer Construction was fast to schedule all of his trades for a walkthrough and quickly provided a quote for our project. The demo was quick (luckily only 2 walls needed to come down). The construction went fairly smoothly (you hear so many horror-stories) even with slow permitting by the city and some supply chain delays - we had given ourselves a realistic opening day and we were able to open on time! What I think stands out is Jim's commitment to making the project work for our needs from our introduction through the to the very end.
