Obsessed with this place! I just moved to Nashville from Chicago a week ago, and I've already been here 3 times. The salads are so delicious and ingredients are top notch. I've had the chicken pesto, chipotle shrimp (subbed chicken), and Tennessee Thai (subbed chicken), and they have all been excellent! I don't eat seafood really, but my boyfriend has enjoyed the shrimp. The veggies and other ingredients are all very good, especially the broccoli which I don't usually like, and the crunchy chickpeas! The dressings I've had are tasty too. They ask if you're ant dressing light, medium, or heavy. Medium was a bit too much for me, so personally I go for the light, even though I'm usually a big dressing gal. The bread slice is also worth the $0.50! Very fresh and soft. Overall, the salads are HUGE. They aren't cheap, but I think it's definitely worth it fir the size. I wish you could get a half salad! The inside of the place is suuuper cute. Very clean. Really appreciate the fresh flowers and natural light! Clean bathrooms. Parking is super easy in the back. read more

In an attempt to eat healthier and stick to a more plant based diet I searched Yelp for salads and came across this place. The reviews are pretty good so I thought I'd give it a try. Wow...was I ever disappointed! This is one of those trendy, over-priced places that charge an arm and a leg for food that should cost half as much because they have a niche concept and are located in a hip neighborhood. My order: Cauli Soup Tennessee Thai Salad The Good: Service is fast and friendly Food seems fresh which is always good for a salad place Menu is simple The Bad: The bad started with nowhere to park and my meal cost me an additional $5.60 just to park in the lot behind the restaurant. I should have known then to just keep going and find something different but I really wanted to give the place a try. The soup was just okay. Somewhat bland but good creamy texture. The cauliflower florets were supposed to be "chili" coated or flavored but they had no flavor at all, the inherent problem with cauliflower as a stand alone food (or advantage if you're using it as a base for something). The portion size for the money was lacking as well. Maybe a measuring cup sized portion. The salad wasn't anything better than I could make at home. There wasn't much "Thai" or Asian flavor at all. The vinaigrette was too vinegary and tart for my taste. I give it three stars for the service and freshness of the food and it seemed healthy but $27 (with parking) for lunch was a bit much for what I got in return. But hey...to each his own. I am in town just for a few days and by the second day was craving a healthy lunch . Found The Greenery on Yelp , so glad I did ! The cafe was impeccable, the service was warm, friendly and informative about their selections. I got the Butternut Curry Miso bowl and it exceeded my expectations, which are pretty high as I am one to stay away from processed foods and keep my diet clean . The owner was at the POS and my mom and I noticed right away that she thanked her employees for creating our lunch. That is not something you see ever ! As we sat down inside ( and I was dying to eat outdoors coming from Boston where that is not possible for a few more months ) , we were approached by a gentleman telling us that they had a back patio ! And kindly obliged by leading us to the perfect spot to enjoy our lunch outdoors. The bowls were enjoyed by all of us and we had to grab an extra chocolate chip cookie on the way out . I ordered the southern cobb salad and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of ingredients and amount of customization. The staff was really nice and helpful. Solid salad bar near Vanderbilt. I was hoping a Sweetgreen-like place would pop up in Nashville soon, so I was really happy to see this open! The first time I came here, I got a custom warm bowl with kale, rice, assorted veggies, roasted chicken, and the pesto vinaigrette (just like Sweetgreen!). The chopping is a really nice touch that many places do not offer. Raw kale really should be massaged as it is difficult to digest, but if they insist on not massaging it, it should be shredded finer. Because of this, I got medium dressing even though I am not a big dressing person, but I recommend getting heavy dressing if you're going with the kale. The second time I came, I got arugula instead, and it was better. The portions are absolutely massive, which makes the prices more justifiable. However, the greens-to-toppings ratio is a bit off, and tossing in a greater quantity of toppings would improve it. read more

First I want to say that they had great customer service. I called to see if I could customize a salad and the lady that I spoke with was so nice. I've been here twice already and the portions are big enough that I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! How to order: They offer a couple of pre-selected combinations or also a build your own option as well. We did the math, and it's cheaper to select a pre-made than order the ingredients separately, but only if you want those exact ingredients. It's counter order style, so think chipotle or subway. At the end they ask if you want it chopped or tossed. I opt to say no for either to maintain the integrity of my salad. Hot tip: Ask for dressing on the side and you'll be able to get two containers of dressing and add how much you would like. Terrific customer service that will make me want to come back again and again. My last experience blew me out of the water and made me a loyal customer. When paying I eyed the cookies right behind the counter and asked if they were warm. The manager went to the back to double check if they had any and when they didn't, he offered us free drinks! We popped in with no background aside from the adorable street appeal. We enjoyed the Chimmi Charrasco warm bowl which has a tad spice to it, Cauliflower Soup and a triple chocolate chip cookie. The two of us shared it and it was the right amount of food. The meal was made with very fresh ingredients. I prefer the option to warm my cookie, but I wasn't disappointed. It's loud in here due to music blasting from above, and lots of chatter from all the guests. It's adorable in here. With covid, they can be more vigilant with cleaning tables between guests. Love having a fast healthy lunch option thats so delicious!This is one of my favorite spots to treat myself to when I can slip away from work. For such a hip city Nashville surprises me with its lack of diversity in lighter fare (I'm from California with an açaí bowl/ salad spot on every corner) so it's nice to Have found somewhere that scratches that itch. It's a bit on the pricey side for salad (with a drink and any add ons you can easily hit $20) but not surprising given the beautiful location and upscale vibes. My favorite is the kale caesar but the Tennessee Thai is also quite good if they go light on the green apple. It gets super busy during the lunch rush so order ahead online and just pick it up to save yourself time in line. They use the same amount of packaging either way. This spot was super convenient! Right on 21st and near all the boutiques. Parking out front, but not a lot, we walked from a parking lot. Not bad though, walking through the town is the whole point anyways! As for the environment, the atmosphere here is very clean, open, and bright. Just what I was looking for. Who wants to eat kale in a dark environment? There are windows EVERYWHERE and light tables and chairs. The sage green accents were perfect! Service was okay, nothing out if the ordinary. As a first time customer I was confused how to order and ended up ordering a menu item rather than the buffet style, but they were very good about the customizations I wanted to add. The tables and floors and kitchen (from what I saw) were very clean. I felt very safe and comfortable eating there, as all covid precautions were taking place. I could not be more impressed. Fast casual salads can be a hard thing to nail down, and Greenery is doing so successfully! The ingredient list helped me construct my perfect salad, but the menu is full of great combinations that they came up with. Once I saw the line I was worried I had made a mistake putting only 2 quarters in the parking meter, but the team pushed through the line faster than I could even hope. My salad was delicious, from the flavor of the ingredients separately to the dressing that tied in all together. It's a little pricey but that's expected of a quality, hearty & healthy meal. This is a new spot in Hillsboro village. There is free parking behind the building, you've just got to maneuver through the Belcourt parking lot! The building itself is very impressive and aesthetically pleasing. It's all white with green and gold accents and there's two large dining rooms (large for hillsboro village!). The hanging Menu is kind of confusing because they have an option to customize your salad/ bowl but they don't have an ingredient list hanging. I asked the girl helping me to walk me through the ingredients since they weren't on the wall and she did.. for the round of bases. After that she just kept looking at me and I had to keep asking .. so what is this? lol that was uncomfortable. The prices here are pretty high, my salad bowl was $14. The food was very good and it's a pretty large serving. I really appreciated that the chicken was warm because a lot of these places serve cold chicken! Delicious and fresh, a really cute place to stop for lunch. I got the Chicken Pesto Salad and added apples and it was absolutely delicious, I had no trouble finishing it - all super flavorful and great quality ingredients. The chocolate chip cookie was amazing, if you are here you have to try one. It wasn't overly sweet but you could taste a nice amount of the brown sugar and the flaky salt and dark chocolate really complemented each other. The texture was really nice too, soft inside with a little bit of crisp on the outside. The food here is sooo fresh!!! I love it. And the champagne vinaigrette is the best dressing I've ever had. They only carry it seasonally in the summer, however. Please please carry it year round! The person building our bowl couldn't have been any ruder. She had green hair and was pressing me on what I wanted in a very aggressive tone. This was my second time ever going here, so I didn't know what was offered. I went with the "make your own" route and decided to get a handful of toppings. As I'm ordering the rude aggression continued. After the bowl was complete, I checked out and the lady informed me it was $24. I had ordered "premium toppings and extra ones, but I wasn't informed of the extra costs for either of those.
