Had a sweet waitress who allowed us move from the cave a corner to the main area for more room with a group of 6. The dining room has plenty of seating for groups but they put us all on other which I found interesting. The calamari was the best part of what we ordered along with one of my coworkers drinks. I attempted to order one however never received it after awaiting it awhile. My chicken parm meatballs honestly were very dry. each of those who ordered them in our group of 6 all felt the same. The pasta flavor itself was good but the sauce seemed like it had been sitting on it and dried out too. I was disappointed for how good it looks in photos. The tiramisu filling in the cannoli was very tasty. I'd recommend coming in for dessert more than anything else. I went to their bakery 'the scilian baker' . They have the usual Italian delights like cannolis. I opted for the caramel tart and it was Amazing!! Not too sweet (despite the caramel) and lovely crust and all around delicious. Based on this experience I'm very intrigued to try the main restaurant! read more

We had a great time here! We came for the Tuesday deal, where you get 2 make your own pastas for 22. For an extra 4 dollars each you get to add a meatball. There is a veggie option (eggplant) that was delicious! It reminded me of a falafel. We really liked the truffle mushroom sauce, we also tried the spicy Calabrian chili marinara which was off menu. Our server Carmen explain the whole menu to us, and was very sweet. For to-go, I really liked the nice reusable bag they gave us. They had plenty of in door and outdoor seating. Please don't waste your money here. Not sure how Google reviews are so positive. Ordered the Tonnarelli alla nerano which was supposed to have fried zucchini.... I think there were about 5 thin slices in the whole thing not to mention it arrived lukewarm and the cheese already coagulated. Eggplant Parm was inedible. It had a nice crispy outside but it was cut in such huge chunks that it was totally hard and raw inside. Took it home in hopes I could somehow salvage it by reheating so I wouldn't have totally wasted $85 on this meal. First glass of wine I ordered was out (no big deal) - second was provided but I'm 80% sure that it wasn't the wine I ordered (which was the priciest glass on the menu). Service was a little spotty esp for it being nearly dead inside when I was there. There was a birthday party next to me and I had planned on sending over dessert but thought better of it when I had the food. Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We chose to sit on the patio outside. It's sheltered from the elements, making it a perfect spot to dine al fresco. The hostess greeted us with a birthday card from the staff, which made us feel welcomed and special from the start. We ordered 3 cocktails, all of which were enjoyable, but the unforgettable ones were the limoncello spritz with a scoop of sherbet in the glass and the espresso martini + Neapolitan foam! We ordered: -arancini: crispy and savory with rice cooked to just the right texture. Paired with marinara this was a welcome bite after sipping our cocktails. -Burrata salad: a refreshing complement to the fried arancini, the ripe heirloom tomatoes and creamy mozzarella are meant for each other. Swirling a forkful in the balsamic and pesto drizzles made for a scrumptious bite that had me craving for more. -Meatball Ferris wheel: so much fun to try a variety of textures and flavors! Our least favorite was the eggplant due to its crunchier outer texture; though tasty, it didn't feel like it worked as a "meatball". Our favorites were the spicy 3-meat tomaso and the cheesy chicken parm. -Lemon prawn and lobster ravioli: we were excited to splurge on this for our main birthday dish, but unfortunately it fell flat for us. The lobster was pretty fishy and I felt the pasta was a bit under al dente. I expected more lemon flavor based on the name of the dish, but it was overshadowed by the tomato-based bisque. Complimentary birthday cannolis were so delicious and not too sweet! I'd order these again!! Overall we had a wonderful experience dining here because of the friendly staff and delicious, fun menu. Waitress wasn't the friendliest and it wasn't busy at all like 2 other tables at the time so not sure the issue. We order the garlic bread as app and said we wanted it as app but it came with our meal. I will say the garlic bread blew me away it was so light and fluffy the garlic butter so good with it! Food was quick to come out I got the parm cream sauce which could have used more sauce on pasta. I had to ask for parm cheese to help add some flavor which I feel is usually offered at most Italian places when meal comes. Parking is street and can be hard to find. The Sicilian Butcher is such a fun spot--I've been three times since they opened and absolutely love the vibes. I ordered the meatball ferris wheel because I saw it on Instagram and ended up obsessed; I've been telling everyone about it for months--ha! I've also tried their pasta and pizza, which were good but not mind-blowing. Their coffee and cannolis, though, are very delicious and definitely worth trying. The staff have always been VERY friendly, helpful, and fun to interact with. Everything is reasonably priced, and the overall experience is just really fun. The Sicilian Butcher was five stars for food and service! Even on a Sunday evening the restaurant was pretty busy. Reservations are a good idea here. Parking is in one of the many paid lots in the area. The restaurant has a lively vibe. The tables are packed in. It's decorated with black and white and pops of red. Outside there is a large covered patio with more seating. One of the best parts of dining here was the excellent service. Our server was Hannah. She was knowledgeable about the menu, checked on us frequently, and anticipated what we'd need. Everything on the menu sounded great. It'd be a fun menu for sharing. My friend and I wanted leftovers so we opted to do our own thing this time. I'm so glad we did because this made for excellent leftovers! I started with Eggplant & Nduja Croquettes and The Sicilian Wedge. The Croquettes filling was delicious and the outside had the perfect crisp. The Sicilian Wedge was heavenly. It was heavy on blue cheese chunks and blue cheese dressing as a good wedge should be. The Red Sangria was refreshing drink. The Vodka Pasta had a lovely flavor and was cooked perfectly al dente. The Tony's Steak Meatball was a little bland so I'd opt for another type next time. I enjoyed the Picchio Pacchiu sauce on the meatball. I love that you get to customize pasta and meatballs by choosing the sauces. I just had to try something from the dessert menu since everything else had been great. The Italian Cookies were pistachio cookies and butterball cookies. I love pistachio and the pistachio flavor really came through in the pistachio cookies. This was such a fun and delicious dining experience. A great spot to meet friends or to have a date night. Everyone should be able to find something they'll enjoy here. read more

I had a great experience here! We came for my birthday and it was my first time here. I thought the food and drinks were great, and a good variety of items for any level of italian food/pasta lovers. My only "complaint" is that I saw the "Board and Bottle" happy hour deal advertised everywhere, just to find out once there that it's only valid if sitting in the bar area. This could've 100% been something we missed when booking the reservation, but it definitely caught me off guard as that was how I planned to start out the dinner originally. That said, the meatball wheel was definitely a great option, and we thought that gave us a great way to taste a couple of things before making a final decision on entrees. Drinks were good, but I thought the best value was the $44 sangria pitcher. We got about 5-6 drinks out of it, which ended up being way cheaper than the per glass price of any other drink options. All in all I would come here again or bring family/friends, I just might sit at the bar the next time in order to get the happy hour specials. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE octopus. It's one of my favorite foods but at the Sicilian Butcher, I couldn't even eat it. It was the worst octopus I've ever had. Fishy and tough. It reminded me of the pre-cooked Costco octopus. Not impressed! I couldn't even eat it. Also their burrata salad is mis-marketed! There was a tiny, I mean tiny piece of burrata on it. Had a really great experience at the Sicilian butcher. Service was great and the inside is setup for either a date night or a night out with friends. Wedgewood Houston is gaining traction fast with some fantastic restaurant additions. We ordered a butcher pizza, meatball ferris wheel, and the gnocchi mac and cheese. The pizza was delicious and big enough to split if you get a side to split as well. The gnocchi.... I could easily order 2 of this ultra cheesy goodness as my entree and be very happy. The meatball ferris wheel was a fun idea and was good, but I'm not sure I'd order it again with so many other options on the menu. As a first-timer to TSB, I asked about recommendations on the menu and was informed that it underwent some changes recently and that many items were very new, leaving me no choice but to go with my Italian go-to... the Chicken Parm. DUDE. Whatever the menu *was*, it can stay gone because this lunch pairing was phenomenal. Including and starting with an amazing Caesar salad starter, an iced tea and a scoop of gelato to finish, the Chicken Parm was delicious. Two sauces that married well and perfectly-cooked pasta to boot. Service was fantastic (sorry, man, an A-name... Anthony or Andrew I believe?) and I WILL be back again with more company. I was very satisfied after leaving The Sicilian Butcher. I started with a "don't call me Shirley" it was very refreshing and not overly sweet. Sadly they didn't have the mocktails that included a scoop of sorbet available at the moment but I'd be really interested in trying one of those soon. I was initially going to go for the build your own pasta but our waiter, Sam, described the strozzapreti shrimp alla vodka so well I had to try it! We were warned that the spice level was about a 4 so I was expecting the heat. Overall it was a solid dish. Portion size 10/10. Nice flavor and the noodles/ shrimp were cooked perfectly. I do wish it had more sauce. As I continued to eat the noodles quickly soaked up what sauce was there leaving it a bit dry in spots. I also thought that the smoothie being cut up in pieces was kind of odd. I wasn't mad at it but I've never seen it before either. We arrived around 5:45/6 there were a few customers but the space filled up quickly with the dinner crowd. They do accept reservations and validated parking so that would probably be your best bet if you're planning a visit. The staff were welcoming and our waiter Sam made the experience even better. Good for girls night or first date, maybe not the Italian romance vibe. Drinks were tasty, but I am here for the meatballs! Friend and I shared this as well as the flaming cheese and nonna bread. Came here with a few friends for a relaxed dinner and it was a great experience overall. We started with Nonna's Bread, which was delicious... especially with the butter it comes with. The chicken parm was a standout: huge portion and absolutely amazing. The lasagna tasted incredible, though the portion felt very small for the price (which was the dish I ordered). DONT be fooled although they advertise a separate Coffee (house) option - the place opens at 11 am NO sooner- and some staff where pretty flipped as "it says right on the door" - pre coffee I would have hoped for more grace. My bad a tourist looking for an am coffee. They were also unsure of ingredients for GF options and that same staff member seemed inconvenienced by dietary detail questions. Let me just start by saying they have 12 delicious flavors for you to build your own cannoli - like Biscoff cookie butter, lemon and pistachio. If that wasn't enough to get you interested...then let's move onto some of the amazing food that the chef has created on the menu. Flaming cheese, the famous greek saganaki with an Italian twist is amazing and a fun presentation. The house made arancini is delicious. The burrata and heirloom tomatoes caprese salad was one of the standouts. Additionally the brined chicken and housemade sausage scarpiello is unrivaled. My favorite entree is the salmon oreganata with a citrus breadcrumb crisp - served directly on the cedar plank it was prepared on. Excellent service by the wait staff, an attentive general manager, Frankie, and very well prepared food made this extremely enjoyable experience for dining. read more

It's good! It really is. I wouldn't call it great though. I think Nashville has a lot of hidden gem Italian spots, so it's hard to compare this place against them, especially when it's priced the same. The menu is one of the more creative ones in town. That alone makes this place stand out. The presentation is so nice, and so Instagrammable. Everything is made homemade too. But the flavor is a little lacking. I will say though, the service is worth 5 stars alone. Genuinely some of the best service in Nashville, everyone is so kind and genuinely helpful. I got a custom pasta and it was good, but I couldn't help but be a tiny bit disappointed. I always like to ask myself "could I make this at home better?" when I eat out. I am by no means a chef. But this was one of those times where I knew the answer was yes. I would come back just for the saganaki though since that's a dish not available anywhere I've tried in Nashville yet. We were told about this Italian restaurant located in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood from a friend. We stopped in and it is a Solid Italian restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was very good. The portions are above average. The Chicken Parmigiano was big enough for 2 to share. I had the Chicken Cacciatore and I highly recommend it. They offer Appetizers, Bruschettas, Signature Dishes, Fazzoletti, Parmigiano, Napolitano Pizzas, Salads, and Sides. Or.... You can create your own pasta dish. You choose a Sauce, Pasta and choose from 6 Meatballs. The food portions are Huge. You will probably be taking some leftovers to the house. They also have Specialized Catering Menus. There is a multi functional building next door called " The Finery " that has Garage Parking and The Restaurant will Validate up to 2 hours. Had a wonderful tonight with my boss! Garlic bread and Caesar salad for starters and for my entree, the strozzapretti pasta with spicy marinara and Tony's ribeye meatballs. Excellent! Pasta was cooked to perfection and the noodles soaked up the spicy marinara beautifully. My boss had the lasagna and said it was one of the best lasagnas he had ever eaten. For dessert, we had the tiramisu which was dense and delicious and the espresso really came through. The cheesecake tasted like it was made in New York. Not packed with sweetness and full of flavor with a delicious crust. The general manager, Frank was very hospitable and made us feel as if we were at home and our server, Peter treated us like gold. I haven't found this hospitality in a while and restaurants nowadays seem to forget the simple fundamentals of great food and great service and always attending to the customers needs. WOW! I ate my bodyweight in pasta and I sincerely cannot hype this place up enough! RUN, don't walk, and come get yourself some amazing Italian food at The Sicilian Butcher. The vibe of the restaurant is almost an upscale Italian diner. Our waiter was very kind but one thing to note is that we did have a few issues with our food coming out. It seems like they're working out some of these kinks. For example, our broccolini was forgotten, and when it was re-ordered, it took an eternity to come to the table. Our waiter did apologize, however, and got us free tiramisu (we would never have asked him to do that for us). Here's what we tried: Italian Saganaki: 5/10 - The least delicious dish of the night. However, the table-side flambé is exciting and picturesque. I just thought the cheese was unflavorful, and wished it was gooier. Meatball Ferris Wheel: 8/10 - What a cute and fun idea! The meatballs are huge so they are very shareable. Guessing which meatballs are which is the best part. I would say our standouts were the Picchio Pacchiu meatball and the eggplant meatball. Alla Vodka Pizza (add prosciutto): 9/10 - The crust on this pizza... PERFECTION! So toasty, yet soft and yeasty. The sauce on this pizza is a true vodka sauce, and the caramelized onions are so good. Our addition of the prosciutto really brought it up a notch. The only thing we would've liked is one more dimension of flavor; maybe a hot-honey! Wedge Salad: 10/10 - I would never have ordered this normally but our waiter suggested it and BOY did I love it. The dressing and the gorgonzola on this salad are just absolutely delicious and vibrant with punchy, creamy flavor. The lettuce was fresh and it was just a great start to the meal. Grilled Ribeye Steak: 9/10 - Cooked to perfection. A very tender steak, which we were so pleasantly surprised about. The small potatoes that come with it are also adorable and tasty (just could've been crisped up more). Three Meat Ragu: 10/10 - This is like if a lasagna was better. It is just an absolute mountain of DELICIOUS and rich bolognese sauce, with lots of creamy cheese, and a few sheets of uber-soft pasta. A truly spectacular dish. No notes. Lobster Fazzoletti: 100/10 - Some of the best pasta I've had in a long time. The dough nearly just melts in your mouth, it's as if it was poached. Not only that, but the filling of ricotta and lobster was just to DIE for. The lobster flavor came through at the perfect level. Broccolini: 7/10 - Very lemony and has a good kick of spice to it. The pasta was also delicious as well as our drinks. The manager was also accommodating and gave us free dessert since their POS had an issue.
