    Chicken Parmesan, lunch portion
    Russell M.

As a first-timer to TSB, I asked about recommendations on the menu and was informed that it underwent some changes recently and that many items were very new, leaving me no choice but to go with my Italian go-to... the Chicken Parm. DUDE. Whatever the menu *was*, it can stay gone because this lunch pairing was phenomenal. Including and starting with an amazing Caesar salad starter, an iced tea and a scoop of gelato to finish, the Chicken Parm was delicious. Two sauces that married well and perfectly-cooked pasta to boot. Service was fantastic (sorry, man, an A-name... Anthony or Andrew I believe?) and I WILL be back again with more company. Very impressed.

Okay, it might be too soon to update my review, but I went back to the happy hour with some family and again I had an amazing time. The servers do a great job of checking in but not being too overbearing. The food was again absolutely delicious! The happy hour portions are so large that we had leftovers for the next day. I'll definitely be back!

I enjoyed my time at this restaurant. We got a Bruschetta board and the meatball Ferris wheel. Those I was with enjoyed their pastas as well. Good cocktails. Service was okay but they were clearly training someone so gave grace. Would come back.

    Burrata-so good!!

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We chose to sit on the patio outside. It's sheltered from the elements, making it a perfect spot to dine al fresco. The hostess greeted us with a birthday card from the staff, which made us feel welcomed and special from the start. We ordered 3 cocktails, all of which were enjoyable, but the unforgettable ones were the limoncello spritz with a scoop of sherbet in the glass and the espresso martini + Neapolitan foam! We ordered: -arancini: crispy and savory with rice cooked to just the right texture. Paired with marinara this was a welcome bite after sipping our cocktails. -Burrata salad: a refreshing complement to the fried arancini, the ripe heirloom tomatoes and creamy mozzarella are meant for each other. Swirling a forkful in the balsamic and pesto drizzles made for a scrumptious bite that had me craving for more. -Meatball Ferris wheel: so much fun to try a variety of textures and flavors! Our least favorite was the eggplant due to its crunchier outer texture; though tasty, it didn't feel like it worked as a "meatball". Our favorites were the spicy 3-meat tomaso and the cheesy chicken parm. -Lemon prawn and lobster ravioli: we were excited to splurge on this for our main birthday dish, but unfortunately it fell flat for us. The lobster was pretty fishy and I felt the pasta was a bit under al dente. I expected more lemon flavor based on the name of the dish, but it was overshadowed by the tomato-based bisque. Complimentary birthday cannolis were so delicious and not too sweet! I'd order these again!! Overall we had a wonderful experience dining here because of the friendly staff and delicious, fun menu. The highlights from the Sicilian butcher are already having us planning our next date night or outing with friends here!

This place was AWESOME. Each of us loved our cocktails, our meals, and the breads! Service was pretty good, and the spot is cute with tons of seating. I got eggplant meatballs that have unfortunately changed my life. I wish that we had left room for the cannoli bar - it looked to die for!

I enjoyed my time here and will give them another try but wasn't impressed by first experience. Waitress wasn't the friendliest and it wasn't busy at all like 2 other tables at the time so not sure the issue. We order the garlic bread as app and said we wanted it as app but it came with our meal. I will say the garlic bread blew me away it was so light and fluffy the garlic butter so good with it! Food was quick to come out I got the parm cream sauce which could have used more sauce on pasta. I had to ask for parm cheese to help add some flavor which I feel is usually offered at most Italian places when meal comes. Parking is street and can be hard to find. Nice vibe to sit and chat with people. Dessert I got to go, the Carmel chocolate tart and it was fine neither flavor super popped.

An exceptional dining experience. Food was fantastic! The Sicilian Butcher is a wonderful tribute to family heritage and old-school hospitality, blossomed right here in Nashville. Special shout out to Ambra. Follow me on Instagram - @thecannyadventurist for a deeper dive into my reviews.

The Sicilian Butcher is such a fun spot--I've been three times since they opened and absolutely love the vibes. I ordered the meatball ferris wheel because I saw it on Instagram and ended up obsessed; I've been telling everyone about it for months--ha! I've also tried their pasta and pizza, which were good but not mind-blowing. Their coffee and cannolis, though, are very delicious and definitely worth trying. The staff have always been VERY friendly, helpful, and fun to interact with. Everything is reasonably priced, and the overall experience is just really fun. Definitely a spot I recommend for people interested in more than food, but an experience.

    Octopus. Terrible
    Maria E.

Let me start by saying I LOVE octopus. It's one of my favorite foods but at the Sicilian Butcher, I couldn't even eat it. It was the worst octopus I've ever had. Fishy and tough. It reminded me of the pre-cooked Costco octopus. Not impressed! I couldn't even eat it. Also their burrata salad is mis-marketed! There was a tiny, I mean tiny piece of burrata on it. I was hungry after this meal!

The Sicilian Butcher was five stars for food and service! Even on a Sunday evening the restaurant was pretty busy. Reservations are a good idea here. Parking is in one of the many paid lots in the area. The restaurant has a lively vibe. The tables are packed in. It's decorated with black and white and pops of red. Outside there is a large covered patio with more seating. One of the best parts of dining here was the excellent service. Our server was Hannah. She was knowledgeable about the menu, checked on us frequently, and anticipated what we'd need. Everything on the menu sounded great. It'd be a fun menu for sharing. My friend and I wanted leftovers so we opted to do our own thing this time. I'm so glad we did because this made for excellent leftovers! I started with Eggplant & Nduja Croquettes and The Sicilian Wedge. The Croquettes filling was delicious and the outside had the perfect crisp. The Sicilian Wedge was heavenly. It was heavy on blue cheese chunks and blue cheese dressing as a good wedge should be. The Red Sangria was refreshing drink. The Vodka Pasta had a lovely flavor and was cooked perfectly al dente. The Tony's Steak Meatball was a little bland so I'd opt for another type next time. I enjoyed the Picchio Pacchiu sauce on the meatball. I love that you get to customize pasta and meatballs by choosing the sauces. I just had to try something from the dessert menu since everything else had been great. The Italian Cookies were pistachio cookies and butterball cookies. I love pistachio and the pistachio flavor really came through in the pistachio cookies. This was such a fun and delicious dining experience. A great spot to meet friends or to have a date night. Everyone should be able to find something they'll enjoy here.

I had a great experience here! We came for my birthday and it was my first time here. I thought the food and drinks were great, and a good variety of items for any level of italian food/pasta lovers. My only "complaint" is that I saw the "Board and Bottle" happy hour deal advertised everywhere, just to find out once there that it's only valid if sitting in the bar area. This could've 100% been something we missed when booking the reservation, but it definitely caught me off guard as that was how I planned to start out the dinner originally. That said, the meatball wheel was definitely a great option, and we thought that gave us a great way to taste a couple of things before making a final decision on entrees. Drinks were good, but I thought the best value was the $44 sangria pitcher. We got about 5-6 drinks out of it, which ended up being way cheaper than the per glass price of any other drink options. All in all I would come here again or bring family/friends, I just might sit at the bar the next time in order to get the happy hour specials.

Came here with a few friends for a relaxed dinner and it was a great experience overall. We started with Nonna's Bread, which was delicious... especially with the butter it comes with. The chicken parm was a standout: huge portion and absolutely amazing. The lasagna tasted incredible, though the portion felt very small for the price (which was the dish I ordered). Best dish of the night was easily the spaghetti bolognese. Service was just okay, but the space itself is beautiful and perfect for a quiet night out.

Came here on a whim for late Saturday lunch and what a treat! The $18 lunch special (even on the weekends!) was a fabulous deal. Bruschetta, chicken parm, and pasta (and an iced tea!) all included with generous portions. Scant wait to come back! A large private covered outdoor seating area is breezy and lovely for summertime.

What is the average entrée price? They don't list any prices?

They range from $20-$35 if memory serves me correct. My check was ~ $100 for an app, entree, 2 cocktails, and tip.

My slice was very good but I don't know about all that. It seems to be a common theme at Five Points East though. Therefore, go for it! Our server, Annie, was excellent. And very efficient at her job. As for atmosphere, pretty cool! Small but cool. And I actually like that they don't have Italian food and stick to their speciality. Complimented extremely well with any pairing crafted in the restaurant. The focaccia with garlic and balsamic was the perfect first bite to guide your experience as a shareable item. -Ricotta di Gnocchi: 5/5 Again, texturally pleasing bite that's met with a delicious sauce that's velvety, cheesy, and rich in flavor with the herbs meeting the palate cutting away the richness. Our server, Lu lu, gave us great recommendations on cocktails and appetizers. She got to know what we enjoyed and recommended the whipped ricotta to us, which was delicious. Creamy ricotta with honey, oil, spice, and bread. Game Changing bread, perfectly baked. When it was time for our dinner, we decided to get the calzone, lasagna, and a pizza. The food came out within twenty minutes and it was just incredible. We decided for tiramisu as our dessert, but we should've gotten the cream puff, the table next to us got one and it looked great. When our waitress brought out our check she very respectfully asked where my buddy was from, as he has a pretty thick accent. He told her that he's Russian and her face lit up, she immediately started having a full conversation with him in Russian. Apparently, she knows the language conversationally. I mean, what a coincidence. My buddy was so tickled by it, and I think he really appreciated it. We also saw the chef come out and talk to one of the other tables, seriously, people were asking to speak to the chef to give their compliments. The pizza was just as good as I remembered. It's one of the stronger options if you're looking for a Chicago-style tavern pizza in Nashville, and the quality of the food continues to be the restaurant's biggest strength. The atmosphere, however, wasn't quite for me. The restaurant fully embraces its Chicago identity, which is certainly part of its concept. Personally, I would have enjoyed seeing a few subtle nods to Nashville or the local community to help it feel more connected to the neighborhood rather than feeling as though it had been transplanted from another city unchanged. It seemed very tone deaf and if I could get the Chicago experience in Nashville why would I ever visit the Chicago location? The music was also much louder than I expected. It created more of a nightclub atmosphere than a neighborhood pizza tavern, making it difficult to carry on a conversation. Live music would have felt more fitting for the setting, especially during CMA Fest. The staff was friendly throughout the evening, but service was a little slower than expected. The restaurant didn't seem particularly busy at the time, yet the kitchen appeared to be running behind, so there was more waiting than I anticipated. Overall, Dicey's Pizza & Tavern still serves excellent pizza, and I'd happily return for the food. I just hope that over time the dining experience evolves to feel a bit more welcoming for those looking for a relaxed meal rather than a high-energy atmosphere.

This was on a Thursday afternoon (Lunch Time) and they do have lunch specials, and it was a pack joint. Prices were right and affordable and the portion was huge! I placed the order online via toast and the food was ready in 30 minutes, I didn't think much of it since I wasn't that hungry but when I picked up the order and headed back upstairs, ya'll the calzone and pasta were MASSIVE. My bestie and I, share the food and had leftover for the next day and don't get me started on the ranch, worth the two dollar for extra sauce. If I do come back here next time, I'm getting their wings and extra ranch. Overall, the USA! Calzone which consist of mushroom, bell peppers and pepperoni and of course mozarella cheese, it was so damn good and perfect seasoning. (Yes, I ate the pizza with ranch) Now the kid's meal, what I thought of just a small pasta and a side of fries, came out to be a WHOLE FULL MEAL and the pasta was one of the best pasta I ever ate, it was creamy and the choice of adding bacon bites just hit. (Perfect to carb up before a night of drinking) it came with two pieces of garlic bread too. The fries were okay, dipping that into ranch help. Main star where the calzone and the pasta for the order.

We shared a dish of the Z.Z. Tots, which were top-notch with the homemade sriracha aioli. We each ordered a 10" pizza: my wife got "the roni," and for myself, I ordered "The Stallion." The crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh and delicious. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be back.

I loved the DJ on the second floor, and I'm still impressed that they have two bars--we didn't even make it upstairs the first time we came. I'm definitely coming back to check out the rooftop next time, especially since it was pretty cold during this event and I didn't get the full experience. The games are a blast, the drinks are great, and the pizza... wow. So good! I grabbed mine to go, and it was still amazing the next day for lunch, super fresh and still full of flavor. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and genuinely kind. Already excited for my next visit!

You pay for tokens (not expensive) and get to choose from 80+ nostalgic arcade games like Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Galaga...all the classics. They also have Mario Kart on Nintendo 64 (no tokens needed!), plus skee-ball, basketball hoops, pinball, and more. The staff makes Up-Down even better. Everyone greeted us with smiles, and the bar staff and bouncer went above and beyond to help me track down my lost phone (thanks again!!). There are two levels (each with its own bar), and the upstairs, dog-friendly patio has cabanas with fireplaces. It's also in the perfect spot for hopping to other great bars nearby. This place is 10/10: cheap beer, fun games, and an all-around solid night out!
