We have been here a handful (exactly 5 times) and sometimes are definitely better than others. This time was a good fail. We ordered and the bartender was kind and friendly and pretty quick. The food was not great. Pickle chips w/o pickles they were super sucky, pickles are to thin and they are so over cooked! The Cuban was also meh. I ate a 1/4 and left it behind. Not the best service. Was very busy and there was no hostess, but yet a sign saying please wait to be seated. Stood waiting for 10 minutes while a line formed behind us. Not even a greeting saying someone would be right with us... Finally a spot opened up at the bar and we just quickly sat down. Bartender was very sweet and nice. I got the Mac and cheese with half a Rueben. Rueben was good, the Mac and cheese had a very floury taste. I was going to be out of town and in the area so I looked at lunch places and menus so hands down this was my number 1 choice because they have a prime rib sandwich special on Saturday with choice of side. The place itself is nice with exposed brick walls, hi ceilings with exposed rafters and HVAC vents, wood floor, window seating and nice bar with tons of TVs. I did know that this was the place for lunch on Saturday because it was packed and loud with the music so people were talking loud. The bar was full as most of the tables so I walked out because it was packed and too loud for me to casually enjoy my lunch so I phoned in an order to go. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with tator tots that comes with a dipping au jus sauce and you can't pick the doneness. The prime rib sandwich looked and smelled good with melted cheese and fresh cooked mushrooms, not the slimy can crap. The tator tots were plentiful but had a weird under tast like cross contaminated oil or oil getting old. The au jus was delicious and seasoned nicely so I used every drop dipping my sandwich. The prime rib sandwich was something I never would have never thought to order because I love rare prime rib too much but it was surprisingly satisfying. The hoagie roll was fresh and toasted. The prime rib was on point flavor wise and when you dip it in the au jus it was very delicious. This was a very good lunch spot and the prime rib sandwich with side is under $15 and completely satisfied me for a lunch size/value compared to the whole dinner at most places. My wife and I both had the Reuben and we both mentioned how moist the meat was. She had asked about whether they make their own and was pleased to find out they do. Excellent. Free refills of chips and fries with an order of a sandwich is unnecessary as the helpings are quite enough, but man, was it good being a glutten. The service was excellent. A cute restaurant and bar. It is decorated really nice for the holidays. We had very prompt, friendly service. The have their own Bloody Mary mix and it is really good! The drink came with a bunch of sides and a beer chaser. The chili is definitely homemade and it is delicious. We also had $2 taco Tuesdays. The corn tortillas are a step above, so good. Went in with a fund raiser coupon for BOGO pizza. It wasn't terribly busy. First pizza came so overdone you couldn't poke a fork in it, which was taken back. Second pizza didn't come out much better. Reason given was the edge gets overcooked to get the center done. I've worked in the world of pizza, it wasn't a loaded pizza, temps need to be adjusted. Nobody even asked if the 2nd pizza was any better or if we needed anything, just if we needed a box, while we were clearly still eating! FYI: Sammy's Pizza and Mine Shaft have much better pizza, service and prices! It should be needless to say, but we will not return! read more

I've heard good things about this place for awhile. A spur of the moment trip to downtown Neenah led us to a nice lunch at the restaurant. We were glad we checked it out. My dining partner had their P.A.B.S.T. sandwich with sweet potato fries. She enjoyed the generous sandwich and tasty fries. I had their Saturday special; prime rib sandwich with tator tots. It had very good flavor and was nice-sized. The restaurant has a surprisingly large menu. While there are numerous beers served at the restaurant, we had spicy Bloody Mary's. The drink was very good and had your typical Scony garnish. Our wait staff each wore masks, although if you are concerned about that kind of thing, it probably would have been too busy for you. Our service was inconsistent as there were four people who attended to our table during the visit. It may have been the reason our drinks sat for over 10 minutes on the bar and were delivered only after we asked for them. Overall, a good experience. The pulled pork sandwich is probably the best I've had, even compared to restaurants in bbq country. The onion rings work well for getting every last bit of the sauce. I thought the beer list was just okay - I'm not sure any beer list needs more than one pumpkin beer. They seem to cover all the common beer types but with some extra novelty. Went to Greene's for lunch today, I have not been here in a looooong time. Thought it sounded good. We sat at the bar, the service was initially fast with the drink order. Unfortunately we sat there for a long time waiting for the waitress to pay attention to us to order, it actually took another customer to say something to her to get her to come take our order. But that is not reason for the low review. The reason is the food. It was really bad. I ordered the fried green tomato blt. I have attached a photo, in case you don't believe me, but the blt was two slices of bone dry bread, a piece of slimy lettuce and two...TWO small pieces of bacon. The mayo in the sandwich was maybe the size of a thumb nail. It was so dry and gross. There was no substance to it. While in Neenah for work I found myself looking for a good dinner stop. Greene's Pour House caught my eye so I gave it a try. Boy am I glad I did. Nestled in an old historic location, purposely designed to invite and welcome. I was greeted when I came through the door and immediately felt right at home with all the locals. After a couple of recommendations from the server I got a local beer, a burger, and of course some cheese curds. All were exceptional, beer was cold, burger cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the cheese curds...begged you to come back for more! I'll definitely return when visiting and recommend to anyone looking for great ambiance, service, beer selection, and food! read more

Atmosphere: LOUD. Holy smokes it was hard to hear ourselves think. It was absolutely slammed during lunch on Friday. You seat yourself, if you can find a table. They don't have a waiting area which is a bit of a bummer because there wasn't even a seat at the bar open so you just stand awkwardly in the front doorway. It was pretty drafty where we sat and were quite cold the entire experience. Service: WHAT GREAT STAFF. It was jam packed and they just kept trucking, taking orders, bring out drinks and food and clearing tables, they were an efficient group. I really could appreciate their organization in such chaos. Food: The pretzel was the star of the show, great cheese dipping sauce, YUM! The french fries were really crispy and well seasoned, but the Reuben sandwich left much to be desired. Neither of us could get through the corned beef it was so tough, not even with our forks and knives. The bread was soggy on one side of the sandwich. They have a "seafood bisque" on Friday but it isn't a bisque, it's more like a chowder, with fake crab meat in it, honestly it was super bizarre. I would not order the Reuben or the seafood chowder, but I would come here and order that pretzel again! Excited to try more items on the menu and hopefully we'll find a few winners that keep us coming back for more. Went for dinner with my family & spry 95 year old mother in law. Very laid-back atmosphere and great service - most of the tables are bar height. Good selection of beers on tap and microbrews. The music and lighting lean to more of a sports bar atmosphere at night. I ordered the giant soft pretzel. Most of us had the half sandwich half soup combo and the food was good. It was an elevated version of bar style food with a good selection of menu options. I would go back. The service was really great. read more

So many drink choices. Fruit infused Tito's vodka had my interest. Then the Bloody Mary Bar. Then all the craft beer. I settled on a local brew. We did not eat here, but the food looked and smelled great. My favorite thing about this place is their "pour it forward" board. It's a way for you to buy a beer or a tab for your friends who are not there. Genius! There were a lot of locals who come to this place and think I would come here too if I lived closer. A great place to watch sports they had plenty of tvs and seating. There was lots of staff, standing around at times. But that means you can get service instead of having only a few working and not able to get to you. I will be back if I am ever in the area again, and will order food next time. read more

This hurts but I was always told to be honest. We started with the chips, salsa and queso. Chips were stale, salsa was incredibly boring and queso was a glorified nacho cheese sauce served cold. Nothing close to a traditional queso dip. My wife had a black bean burger that was so salty it was almost inedible. I had grilled shrimp tacos with corn tortillas. Each taco had two tiny shrimp with way too much cabbage. The corn tortillas were served straight from the bag, raw. They were not cooked or heated in any way. Imagine eating cardboard tacos and you get the drift. I'm so disappointed because I love the location and atmosphere of this place but honestly we've had better meals at Subway. We will give it another try but doubt we will order food. Maybe just a cold beer. read more

Fun atmosphere love the indoor outdoor feel for the summer. Food is pretty good bar food but not the most amazing I've had, but the atmosphere makes up for that FOR SURE. Especially when they have the live music and the garage doors open. Service is standard never had a bad server there. read more

WOMEN- BE AWARE DONT GO HERE A close friend of mine was drugged by the bartender on Tuesday at 2:30 PM. Her shift at a nearby health care facility ended early, so her and her coworker went to Greene's for a drink. They both were slipped roofies in their drink. Fortunately, my friend knew something was off after starting to feel sick and texted her husband to come pick them up ASAP shortly before she blacked out. She has no memory of leaving the bar, her husband came into the bar to find her and was sketched out by the bartender who was acting suspicious and rambled about how the 2 women were taking shots. Shortly after arriving home she fell in the bathroom and hit her head. She went to the ER who advised her she had likely been roofied. Her BAC was .0001. Fortunately she was safe. The bar ownership has been notified but has not taken any action. read more

I fail to understand all the positive reviews on this restaurant. After having a seat at a table we had to literally look for a wait person. My Bloody Mary was good but order without olives. Got olives anyway. Order a cod sandwich with tomato, tarter sauce and cold slaw and onion rings. My husband got a chicken sandwich on a pretzel roll. When food was delivered my husband didn't have a pretzel roll at all. It was just on a regular roll. When they put mine down it was visual way over fried, there was no tomato and no tater sauce. I called the wait person back over and said I felt everything was over done and there was no tomato and no tarter sauce. He took it back and a few minutes later came out with another order. It looked like the same order, exactly the same as it was still way over fried. However I did get my tarter sauce but still no tomato. I gave up and ate it best I could. Left at least half the meal which my husband, who hates to see food go to waste, ate a little of it. He said, that is really bad! For what we got and presentation and not very good service this whole meal was way over priced! We could have went to Burger King and done much better. For many years we have gone to Tanners in Kimberly and never had a bad meal or service. Wrong move to try something new! BTW as we walk out the back side door we got to peer into the kitchen. 21OCT2017 Update: much improved over our last visit. I will be back for burgers, dips and wings! General items: The floors were dirty at 2:30pm. The wait staff is the should be at the DMV. I saw and heard a patron from the next table get lambasted by the bartender for asking for a drink. The patron was not seeing the waitress (and neither we're we) so he went to the bar himself. He got told to go back to his table. After we ordered our late lunch, we didn't see the waitress again until we were begging for our bill. I never got my soup, and asked for it to be removed from the bill. Food: The perch was tiny. I mean like smelt tiny. Three tiny butterflies and some half dead lukewarm fries for $15 is not a good value. I never got my soup. My wife's order of fish tacos...which is what they claim is the best...were ok. The deep fried cod does not match well with fresh pico. The breading gets soggy fast, and the greasy flavor does not add to the experience. Drinks: the one Bloody Mary we each had was ok. The only problem was that I ordered mine spicy and my wife gets hers mild. The waitress gave us the wrong drinks. What's even more shocking is that it was hard to tell. The pickled mushroom was the spiciest part of the drink. There are much better places to spend $40 on lunch in Neenah. read more
