One of the (sadly) last surviving games stores in my area. But, it's because they really do it right. They have a great assortment of games. (Board games, card games, MTG, Roleplaying.) AND all of the assorted ephemera. (Dice, mats, bags and storage, minis, paint, tools...) The staff is delightful. Always very friendly. They have gaming space, and models to play on. They have some snacks and drinks. The store is clean and organized. They are inclusive of all people. (don't be a dick) I've played many games here. I've been to a few of their anniversary parties and auctions. I buy my D&D books here on the regular. (And minis.) (And dice) I make a special trip up when I can. Come support this store! no butter pasta, but given its not a restaurant i find that acceptable as a game store, 10/10!! had a huge selection of singles that i was unfortunately unable to fully go through, but i got an awesome playmat a few singles and a couple packs. Honestly the best Friendly Local Games Store (FLGS) I've ever shopped at. In my experience, their selection is second only to a shop I went to in RI that has now closed. They carry games of all weights and genres; board, card, TCG, TTRPG, minis, accessories, new, used, etc. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will do their best to track it down, which is just one aspect of their fantastic customer experience. Stopped by with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Games were set up and running and, though we didn't stick around and play, it felt like we could've. That may sound funny, but this is not always the case when you're a woman- let alone a group of women. Stopped in at Greenfield Games this afternoon to look for some new board games and was impressed by the selection of games they had. This location has a ton of board and strategy games that all members of the family can enjoy. These include the classic games you find in the chain stores, but they also had a ton of unique board games we had never seen before. They also have a ton of cards for Magic: The Gathering. Even though we don't play games such as Magic, it was great to see a large group of people playing together. This store provides a great space for people to have fun together. The only critique about this store is that when we entered today the employee seemed busy spending time with the people playing. This wasn't a huge issues but it felt as though we were being a burden when we asked him for some help. read more

My favorite Local Game Store (LGS). I grew up in the Franklin County area and this store has never disappointed me. Every time I visit my hometown and my parents I try and stop in here. I have yet to find an LGS that is as friendly as this one. The selection of Magic: The Gathering cards they have is amazing and the prices are fair. read more

I love this place. If you're a hardcore gamer or someone who is looking for a simple board game, this is the place. The staff really knows their stuff. Any time I've had questions about a game one of them has played it and can offer feedback. If you tell them about a game you like, they can recommend similar games. Don't see what you want? They'll order it for you. Plenty of gaming space in the back, lots of sample games to try out, stuff for family game night or beer and board games... it is the best. read more

I've been patronizing game stores since the 70s, and it's pleasant to have such a fine one right in the downtown, in walking distance of my home. Greenfield Games is a large, cheerful, clean, brightly lit place (qualities by no means routinely found in gaming stores), with many board and Euro games, as well as a respectable selection of RPGs, CCGs and puzzles. There are modest selections of outdoor games aimed at the younger set -- Frisbee, kites, that sort of thing -- and equipment for darts enthusiasts. There's also a decent selection of ancillary equipment for gaming: dice, carrying cases and paint for miniatures, that sort of thing. There are several gaming tables in back, with one huge one used for large-scale wargames and the like. They sell beverages and snacks for the gamers, and the tables are generally in use after school and during evening hours. I've found the staff genial and helpful, and willing to place orders. GG also does special events -- my first experience here, shortly after moving to the area, was its annual anniversary party, with several dozen people, many games being played, ticket auctions for a wide selection of stuff, and free pizza and cake! I've been a patron of many gaming stores over the years, but this is the warmest and friendliest of the lot, and not only to hardcore gamers but to casual gamers, parents and children alike. Games Workshop out the wazoo as well as other iterations of the tabletop genre... card tournaments and Warhammer mega-battles... Solid board game selection, and if you're into D&D 5e/Pathfinder/Magic/Warhammer/Star Wars you'll probably love the RPG selection. I wish they would branch out and start offering a more diverse selection, including some of the many excellent "old-school renaissance" games currently available. However, the staff seems nice, and the used RPG section is pretty good. read more

What's not to love? Greenfield Games is one of the classiest game stores in the country. Their retail displays are well-stocked, diversified to help everyone find something they are looking for, and they cater to serious and casual game players with equal friendliness and professionalism. I want to be as honest as possible. The people that work here are (usually) very friendly and I have gotten some great deals here over the years. Some of my experiences have been positive. More recently, however, this place has led to some of my worst customer service interactions. For starters they never open on time. I am in greenfield for short time periods and four times now have had to wait from 10:00(advertised opening time) to about 10:15-10:20. I have never heard an apology for waiting/ lateness opening. I can forgive this to the fact that this is a card store, an entity specifically known for general lateness. However, today, I not only had to wait but was straight up lied to by employee about card pricing. When online was utilized to show him the price tag, a sad excuse along the lines of "oh I thought you meant a different product" was utilized. 0 apologies. Apparently they really don't care about customer service here. Again, I have had positive experiences here and good conversations in the past, warranting the two stars for what has been an overall 0 star experience as of late. Updated all the problems still exist in terms of opening on time but I do think the interaction with the employee was an anomaly. Maybe just having a bad day. read more

Our family LOVES this store! The staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. They've played all their games and can easily tell you that this game is like that one, but with a little of such and such thrown in. It's clean and well stocked. The selection covers a wide range of genre from typical family board games like Monopoly to strategy games like Settlers of Catan to table top miniature games like Warhammer.
