Before the change of management in 2022 after my mother passed, I called and spoke with them. They helped me understand the process and what to expect and confirmed that my mother could be in interred with my father. They called it a right of internment and assured me, there would be no problem. I contacted them again and learned about the takeover by Cypress Lawn. I was assigned a different person some young man who told me my mother could not be buried with her husband, as was her last wish. I can tell you that it seems profits are number one, the chairman of board and the Board of Directors won't even do anything to help you. The chairman of the board wrote me a letter made assurances and then never followed through my mother remains unburied. She was a well respected Doelger Senior Center volunteer and state of California public service retiree. My father was a decorated war hero and this situation is just shameful.

Water bottle neatly arranged on a table in the room and also extras on the desk out side hallway. Women bathroom were clean and stocked , the entire inside of the facility were well kept. Adjacent to our room has an outdoor space , I believe where one can burn incense for Buddhist ceremony. Disappointed that we were not able to have food for our guests , due to COVID regulations . Both staff I encountered were diligent in helping our family arranged tables so we can placed incense/ flowers and food offerings.

When my mother passed, I was facing one of the hardest weeks of my life, made even more complicated by the fact that my wife is due to give birth in less than two weeks and we live across the country. I needed help, and I needed it fast to get back to my wife. Reuben and the team at Colma Cremation & Funeral Services did not just meet the moment. They rose above it. Reuben is one of the kindest human beings I have ever had the privilege to work with. Not "funeral industry kind." Genuinely, deeply kind. On extremely limited notice, they expedited everything: they arranged a viewing before the cremation, completed the cremation itself, and got the death certificate and my mother's ashes into my hands faster than I ever thought possible. Every single step was handled with care, compassion, and total professionalism. What truly set them apart was the responsiveness. Any question I had, I could simply text Reuben and get a prompt, thoughtful reply. During a time when so much feels out of your control, that kind of steady, reliable communication meant the world. I lack the words to fully express my gratitude. If you are searching for people who will treat your loved one, and you, with genuine kindness and respect, look no further. I recommend Colma Cremation & Funeral Services from the absolute bottom of my heart. Thank you, Reuben. Thank you to your entire team.

The owner Reuben was very helpful and kind. We spoke on the phone and we asked questions and Reuben made it very easy for us to understand. We signed the contract and I came for my appointment on Monday. They have made this very difficult time for our family very easy. Pricing was reasonably priced and they were very professional and kind during a very difficult time. Service, follow up was outstanding! They work from the heart. Thank you for your service.

I know she must deal with a lot of people like that but it's normal to be histeric about where you will put your loved one, let alone a sibling. Otherwise, smooth. We didn't do a service as we don't have much family here. I did find that they put a "neighbor" too close to ours. Not even a foot difference. And plenty of space to the other sides. Not a fan of that. Wish they could scoot it over a bit so we have more space for our activities. Every other stone is fairly spaced like a foot except ours. Since then we come throughout the year and the facilities are always clean and can go use the restroom and get some snacks when open. I wish they'd update the hours so we know we can come use the restroom when we visit.

Grateful is an understatement for the immaculate work the Golden Hill Memorial team did in supporting us through our loss. They were on top of all the details and guided us through the Chinese customs for honoring my father-in-law. Sue, Polly, Christina, Wilson, and Steven were so on top of everything. From the beautiful clean, modern venue, to the welcome treats and drinks for our guests. They really know how to run a tight ship. Each team member was personable and professional, as they consistently checked in on our family. All our guests were impressed with their hospitality and wide selection of post funeral ceremony offerings as we waited for the burial ceremony. I have never experienced such an elevated experience at a funeral, and it really surprised our family. Golden Hill Memorial goes above and beyond, and we are grateful for their care.

When we returned in 2025 after my father passed away to make changes and create a double memorial marker, my sister and I did not yet know that Mike had passed in 2024, which explained so much. It was at that time that we met Kirill Golubkov. From the moment we began working with Kirill to make the necessary changes to include our father, the communication was outstanding--absolutely no complaints. We requested many revisions along the way, and Kirill handled every change with patience and professionalism. He truly "understood the assignment" and designed a memorial marker that my siblings and I absolutely love. Kirill was always kind, understanding, and respectful during such an emotional process. It was truly a pleasure working with him, and we are deeply grateful for the care and dedication he put into honoring both of our parents. A heartfelt thank you to Kirill and the entire staff at Art in Stone for their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout this process. I highly recommend Art in Stone to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and genuinely caring service during such a difficult time. A huge shout-out as well to Mike Radar--may he rest in peace. Thank you for taking the hit for the porcelain photo on our grandfather's marker; the story behind that will forever be unforgettable. I will be sure to update this review with photos once the marker has been installed.
