Lucharito's is a decent option for Mexican food and drinks in Greenport. It can get busy pretty quickly, but if you're looking for a burrito or quesadilla, this is your spot. The food was good, I liked the duck in my quesadilla. Unfortunately, it did have a bone in it, that was an unwelcome surprise to chomp down on. And the sauces that came with the dish weren't the best, guac tasted bland in particular. But still a tasty entree, overall, even with the issues. Same sort of vibe for the burrito on special; not bad, but not mind blowing. It's a lively atmosphere inside, with group seating and stools all around the bar. Good for a sit down meal with friends, but maybe not the best place for a more intimate conversation. Decent spot to consider in the village!

Greenport is embracing a charming, laid-back vibe reminiscent of the South Fork Hampton towns. There is a wonderful sense of community and leisure as you stroll through the streets, window shopping at quaint boutiques and local restaurants. The town's atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the seaside charm. On this visit, we decided to dine at Lucharitos, the original location of the popular Long Island Tex-Mex chain that is expanding across the region. Lucharitos is a lively, playful eatery and bar that offers Baja-style Mexican cuisine along with an impressive selection of tequila. The bright decor and vibrant artwork create a fun and energetic ambiance. We ordered their tacos, which were delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. And with such a wide variety of tequilas to choose from, it is a great spot for tequila enthusiasts or anyone looking to enjoy a lively, tasty meal in a welcoming setting.

Came to Lucharito's for some Mexican food because of a recommendation. The place is so vibe. Ifs vibrant and great music was playing. It must be popular because we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. We just walked to the dock in the meantime. We order margaritas which were delicious. The right amount of sweet but tartness. I also appreciated them asking what kind of rim we wanted as I think salt rims should be discontinued. We then ordered the elote corn. If elote is on the menu, I'm getting it. This one was AMAZING. Probably the best I've ever had. Instead of regular mayo, the used chipotle menu which gave it a flavor profile that I will crave from now on. The chips were subpar. They didn't seem fresh and weren't salted to my liking. For my main meal I order 3 tacos: 2 Baja chicken and a traditional carnitas. You are probably wondering what is Baja chicken well instead of the fish on the Baja fish taco I substituted chicken and my GOSH. Give me 14 of them right now. The cabbage, pickled red onion, and chipotle mayo were perfect accoutrements to the crispy chicken. The carnitas taco was classic and did the job. The food was great!!! The reason for a 4 star was that our food took a really long time to come out. We were told they were making the chips fresh, however, the chips gave stale store bought chips. It wouldn't deter me from coming back though. Overall, I recommend!!!

I ordered the classic burrito with steak instead of ground beef.

This vibrant restaurant serves typical Mexican cuisine, offering anything from handhelds like tacos and burritos to bowls and entrees. Our knowledgeable waitress offered suggestions and listened to our needs. After telling her about my bell pepper allergy and allergy to any of its derivatives, she assured me the guacamole did not have any jalapeño peppers, chili pepper, or any other kind of pepper. I was thrilled! After receiving my burrito though, I was dismayed to find sliced peppers on the plate. I reminded her of my allergy, and she responded "but those are banana peppers, not bell peppers". Ugh I'll still give four stars though because this restaurant's casual vibe is different from other restaurants in Greenport, decently priced, and offers a range of food choices. They just need to be a bit more cognizant to their customers' food allergies.

Excellent Mexican food with great drinks. We had the corn tortillas with hard taco shells inside along with the usual taco fillings and guac and sour cream; to die for! And my mojito was superb. Great service as well!

Came to Lucharitos for dinner the other night with my family'. It was happy hour so we had ordered 2 orders of wings, and chips & salsa. I ordered a jalopeno margarita & It was sooo good with the tajin rim. For dinner I had tacos. My favorite was the ground beef with the soft & hard shell. I'd definitely come back.

Looking for Tex Mex while in Greenport, then look no further. It's quick, casual, fun and yummy with friendly service and a smile. We stopped in for a late lunch. Happy hour starts after 3:00 pm. It's got a cool, hip vibe that invokes fun when you enter with the music pumping. To start we ordered a cold beer and the beef & cheese empanadas. Followed by a trio of tacos made to satisfy my flavor profile: duck, beef & chicken all with varying taco shells and a grilled chicken burrito bowl. All were prepared with fresh ingredients and yummy. The beef & cheese empanadas were hands down our favorite! Fresh, hot & delicious.

Classic Tex mex food, not authentic but the flavor is good. I really loved that the vegetarian option wasn't just beans and cheese, it was loaded with various vegetables, it made the meal so much more worth it. Nacho was huge and smothered in queso rather than real cheese, odd choice but I liked it. They have fun daily specials and we were able to get discounted tacos. They actually made a mistake on of our tacos (they gave us the wrong tortilla, not a huge mistake at all) and they let us just keep it and have us a new one. That was nice, most restaurants don't give you the option of keeping it. Service was friendly and ambiance was a classic Tex max vibe - loud vibrant colors, fun ambiance !

Very popular spot in Greenport. It's hit or miss on holidays, but the normal menu has something for everyone. Service is good, given the crowd. Drinks come quick, food is cooked to order. It's got a cool Mexican wrestling vibe. Street corn dip was meh... tasted a lot like canned corn with no char. Pass on that, but otherwise I haven't been disappointed. And if you like heat, you gotta try the proprietary sauce. The chef makes it in-house. If you are in Greenport and looking to satisfy your taco/burrito cravings, you're good. Stop by.

Good tasting food and great service. Wish there were more vegan options though. Not much to pick from in that regard.

Good concept. Awful execution. Needs more or better staff, especially whoever was bartending this afternoon.

Has anyone ever had a decent experience with the wait here?

Well worth the wait. Give them your number and walk around town a bit, ride the carousel, explore the docks and see the boats. You will not be disappointed by the food. It is a very busy restaurant for a reason.

Okay, so at first, I wasn't planning to write any more reviews for the foreseeable future. Just…read morebecause I wrote one review recently didn't quite mean I was warmed back up to Yelp just yet, and if I'm being honest, I'm still not. Between a removed review causing me to go missing from Yelp for 6 months and losing my trust in posting my reviews here on Yelp, I let go of my Elite status and am now back to square one. But after driving my mom to Manor Inn so she could attend an event there, I decided to look up spots around there since I did spot that their wait times were going to be extensive. That's when I decided to go here and see what was good. Honestly, after I encountered the parking situations in both places and went into the restaurant, I knew I had made the right call. I was seated immediately, given a menu, and even given some complimentary chips, salsa, and a plate of refried beans sprinkled with some cheese. Now, refried beans and salsa are not foods I would normally eat because my food palette don't usually like those items. But with these tortilla chips, they were both very flavorful, and given this was complimentary, they were all the more appetizing. I should also mention that my waitress, Sayda, was very nice and prompt whenever she came to my table. Answered any questions I had, and had no problem with my orders. So from the menu, I went with the Tropical Twist, their Calamari for an appetizer, the tacos de barrio for dinner, and even ordered churros to go so I have something for when Winter Storm Fern dumps 80 million inches of snow tomorrow and into the next day. Oh, might I say, everything was delicious! I knew I couldn't have alcohol because I still had to pick my mom back up and then drive back home to Waterbury, but that Tropical Twist was a nice consolation if you can't have alcohol. The fried calamari was also another great choice. That dip it came with was so addictive it was like crack, and the perfect thing to pair with fried calamari. If there's one thing I would say could be improved, it's that they could be just a smidge more liberal with the fried coating. There were some pieces that had some small spots that had no coating at all, but nothing too major. For the tacos, MMM MMM GOOD! The meat was tender and flavorful, the presentation was great, and the consome paired deliciously with the tacos. It's definitely worth the $20 they cost. The churros were also pretty good. I can't say they were the best churros I ever had because the place that made my favorite churros ever closed down back in 2024 and had since become a dog grooming place, but if not for that, then I might make a case for that statement to be true. The chocolate syrup it comes with is divine and a nice sweet treat to finish off the night. I was in and out of the place in maybe a slight smidge above half an hour, so I would say all-in-all I'm glad I came. The place is also well decorated, bathrooms are clean, and the ambiance is inviting and casual. Now, I may still need to gatekeep a few reviews here and there, but this place was a step in the right direction in getting my confidence back in Yelp. I would definitely come back here again whenever I get a chance, and I highly recommend coming to check out this place if you're in the area. Oh, and for comparison's sake, it was an hour and a half between when I was finished here and when I could finally pick my mom back up again from Manor Inn. Take that as you will.

I called ahead to make sure they made their own michelada mix, which did not disappoint. It was more on the tangier side but delicious nonetheless. I got their chicken mole which came with white rice, different than any other mole dishes I've had before. Their white rice was some of the best I've ever had- to say the least. The refried beans were delicious (they served me tortilla chips with salsa and refried beans as soon as I sat down). The mole was a good sauce, certainly on the spicier side - hot and strong spice favor. Everything was good, I could see myself going back for a michelada and trying other things off their menu next time. I definitely won't pass up on their in restaurant fried tortilla chips, that's for sure, they were delicious. Thank you Loteria!
