And change = bad to them. They ditched all the animals, the clowns are still clowns, just with a different look and less white face paint and red noses. The acrobatic displays are some of the best in the world with the trapese artists being exciting and graceful. The two opposite "wheels of death" were adrenaline-inducing with legitimate moments of tension and anxiety while the performers were running and flipping on top of them. It definitely had its high moments. It also had some low ones. You can't deny that the exclusion of animals, albeit probably the morally correct decision, left something to be desired. No more elephant or lion performances, no more old-fashioned carny fun; No more dirt bikes doing circles in the sphere cage, no more fire breathing or just general unhinged circus goofiness. The sing-along dance segments comprised no small amount of the show time and get a bit boring after the first round of them. All in all, it was fine. The kids had a blast singing and dancing, the unicycle daredevil shenanigans were neat. We enjoyed ourselves, but probably won't see it a second time, since the stars of the show (animals) are no longer a part of it. It just doesn't have that same aura of excitement and wonder than it used to. But if you enjoy dance routines and acrobatics you'll have a good time.

Definitely not what I was expecting. My wife bought tickets for the whole family, and I went in…read moreexpecting something closer to the circus I grew up with. Clowns, fire breathers, sword swallowers, elephants, tigers, bears ( OH MY!) you know the deal. None of that was there. Instead, it felt more like an all over the place, dance performance. There were no animals at all unless you count the robot dog. My 5 year old daughter was underwhelmed, and my parents who are both in their 80s were too. It just did not connect with any generation in our group. Honestly, they should consider changing the name. Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus no longer fits. Something like Barnum and Bailey Silly Dance Show would be more accurate.

I like the grand at friendly for the simple fact that we can go to dinner in friendly and the movie theater is right there. I was surprised that they had so many cool things you can buy at the snack counter. They've come a long way since the last time I was there in that regard. The staff was also super friendly which I appreciate. As far as our movie experience I love the reclining seats and how roomy it is. Someone forgot to turn the lights off when the movie started so all of the previews and the first five minutes of the movie were in the bright lights but they eventually went off. The bathrooms could use some attention. Some of the doors don't lock and some toilets need unclogged and cleaned. Overall we had a good experience and will be back!

Popcorn may not be the best ever, beverages may not look like the picture, concessions you may need a second mortgage. However, the people here are great, location is safe, and parking lot is big. Attendance of movie for Stranger Things was sold out. Concession lines were long. But they had exclusive movie tshirts and special merch and beverages. True movie experience here. Used app to buy tickets. Can't order concessions ahead - hence the line. Missed first 5 minutes of the movie waiting behind 50 people - but went pretty quick.

Even the parking garage attendant was great asked if we had been and directed us on where to go since it was our first time. It was a quick walk through a park which was lovely and also had some directions along the way. Once we got to Tanger the attendants inside directed us on where to go and everything was very smooth to get in. The front entrance was crowded since it is a smaller venue but once we got upstairs all the same services were available for drinks and snacks and there were not a lot of patrons around yet. I was a little confused as to where to go at first but again the attendants were very helpful and showed us how to get to our seats. Our seats were good too I feel there isn't a bad seat in the house with how the center is set up. I will totally be back when there is an event that doesn't come closer to me.

The Performing Arts Center hosts many events, from the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra to touring Broadway shows, concerts, comedy shows and discussions. The Tanger Center has a parking lot available for performances, and there is street parking and a few nearby parking garages. With Greensboro taking down two garages, it might be a little more challenging to find a space. When you arrive, ticket scanning and a security check are first. I am glad they finally clarified the bag policy to just one rather than three different policies. Phillips Hall is impressive with its high ceilings (3 stories) and a large glass window. It is 8,000 square feet and has porcelain staircases on both sides and elevators in the center. The concessions are in front of the window and under the stairs, so it is a shame that the architectural view is blocked. There are high-top tables in the center for your food and beverages. But I do not remember seeing any seating with the tables. The women's restroom on the first floor is large, with many stalls, extending from one side of the theatre to the other. I like that you can also see whether they are occupied or vacant. Staff have been very pleasant and helpful, from finding where you need to be seated to the Prelude Dining before performances. Seating is on three levels; the orchestra and the Grand Tier can be entered from the main level. The Loge is the balcony on the third level, and elevators are available from the lobby. I've had tickets for the orchestra in various sections, the grand tier and the grand tier boxes and learned where I prefer. It is also very easy to leave after the performances with multiple exits. The Tanger Center is a great addition to Downtown Greensboro that knows how to handle large-scale events.
