Greenwave sales rep came to my house. Started selling my elderly mother on his scam. We aught it before it was complete and told the sales rep to leave. He refused and I literally had to step outside and chase him away. He then sent harassing texts to the personal phone number he collected from my elderly mother. We filed a police report for trespassing abs harassment. If these people come to your house, tell them tk leave immediately and call the police. This is an offshore illegal scam. read more

Greenwave popped up on my pg&e bill in Jan 2026 with a whopping 800.00! I talked to them and they said they had my voice approval wich means they taped my voice and tweaked it so they could get their commission. then there dates don't even match up! They weren't on it in November or dec 2025 and I almost missed it in Jan but there it was all kinds of adjustments and readjusting my bill all from Greenwave like a computer gone crazy. I think they're printing up their own bills. There are a few other contractors out there in rocklin area, based out of state by the way, who are doing the same thing so they are probably sharing our information and coming back around to slap us in the face. Was threatened. 2 came to my door. i told them not to come back. First guy said he will be back and he knows where i live. Later when i went to apartment office, to report incident, they purposely antagonized me. Threw an empty can and a pencil at me. they were filming and i lost it after being disrespected. I did not handle the situation well. His partner asked if I left my front door unlocked and stated he was going to go in and take a bill from the table. Called the Sheriff but they just let them go while they talked to me. If my apartment manager has video i am going to ask if the situation was filmed. read more

The salesperson claimed to be from PGE. He flashed an ID and waved it around from several feet away so we couldn't read it. He claimed we could save money with their company providing service, and when my wife said our bill didn't list their company as the gas provider, he claimed that their company should be listed because we were already using their service (as he pointed to the opposite side where the service really was located). When we told him we had never heard of GreenWave Energy, he said that he would make a note that we "had no service." THESE PEOPLE WILL LIE to get you to listen -- and they will try to scare you with lines like the last one in the previous sentence. Cut off the conversation with "I never heard of your company, and you're not on my bill." Then close the door. read more

I don't write many reviews, but my experience with this company has been nothing but bad. The way they get you is they go door to door, equipped with a sample bill in hand. What's on that sample bill? Shows you how low your gas procurement could be, which would save you money in the long run. Per their policy, you could cancel in 30 days. But what's the problem here? Your billing cycle is 30 days. So if you don't catch it in time, you won't realize that their rates are actually higher than the default PG&E procurement rates. I fell into the trap and by the time I realized it, a little over 30 days had passed. When I called to cancel, they told me I would have to pay a hefty penalty and that there would be months where their procurement would be less than PG&E. months had passed and this was never true. On average, procurement charges is 60% higher than what PG&E charges. It's straight up robbery. A full year has finally passed, and after the term has ended, I finally can cancel without penalties. I've tried reaching out to them for 2 weeks. First, with an email with an intent to cancel (one of their methods of cancellation). And when I didn't receive a response for a few days, I decided to call. Their corporate phone number is 800-296-2203. I called them 4 days straight, from 9am to 5am. Each time I called, their phone kept ringing until it hangs up automatically after 8 minutes. I reach out to PG&E, but they can't help. You can't cancel your PG&E service and reinstate it to remove GWE. The next step would've been to file a complaint with the public utilities commission. Fortunately, GWE finally called me back after 2 long weeks of trying to cancel this service. I've now got a confirmation number and will have to check my bill for the next two cycles to make sure that they are actually removed from my account. If you have the pleasure of having one of their door to door salesman show up, please don't even give them the time of day. I would even go a step further and steer clear of any third party energy companies. read more

My winter gas bill has never been more than $150, but my first winter with greenwave my first bill for december 2022 was over 300, then my second bill for January over 600, and my February bill nearly $900!! And I can't get through to anyone via phone or email at greenwave for months to ask to cancel!! This is more than a car payment or even half my mortgage! Never buy 3rd party energy again!!!! The law needs to be changed regarding 3td party energy procurement companies. They came to my door, told me that they were cheaper than PG&E for my gas. My bill is usually $4.00 to $7.00 per month during the summer. My bill was about $70. each of the warm months when I was not using my gas furnace. They say that the extra money goes to "clean energy." Natural gas IS clean energy. It is taken from the earth and piped to your house. Their lies and their corporate lobbying have passed laws that are lies that allow them to intercede, "deliver your gas" for literally 12 times the price all in the name of the environment and clean energy. This is all bullshit. When I sent them 10 nasty emails to EVERY EMAIL ADDRESS that I could find, the supposed "president" of the company that supposedly bought Greenwave said I was going to get a full refund from the time my contract started. PG&E did not receive any money to refund me from them. They are liars and cheats. Their other business is selling SOLAR PANELS. Greenwave are phone spammers and scammers who prey on the elderly, low-income and weak minded people. Do not talk to or even listen to anybody who comes to your door promising to "Lower your utility bills." Promise of low gas prices. 60 cents a therm garuanteed for a year then adjusted to their cost + pge transport. Good deal? Well, right after the year was up, the price jumped to $4.99. 3 times more than Pg&e and the bill made up for any savings made for the whole previous year. Canceled service. By the time everything went back normal, I paid almost twice as much as I would have by just staying with Pg&e for the 15 months. My advice is to cancel in the 12th month. read more

Negative -10. Please be aware that I never signed up for this service. I received 3 bills from the month of July 2020. Never once did I authorize nor sign up for this . I received $560 for the month of July . How is that possible if I pay my bill on time? Called PG&E and they gave me the run around . All they can say is that it's a 3rd party that's billing them and therefore they had to collect from me. To top it all off it's from the month of March , April And may . Yet we are in July almost August. Please be considerate and explain to customers who are being charged . I am not giving a one star review against GreenWave Energy, they are legitimate and are listed inside PG&E's Core Gas Aggregation Program. This review is directed to Mike Foster, Energy Broker supposedly for 15 yrs., that claims to contract with GreenWave Energy. Do NOT respond to his Craigslist Ad to be an independent contractor for GreenWave Energy. He is unprofessional, dishonest and all about the numbers that GreenWave pays him directly, not the independent contractor. I signed a contract, was told I my first paycheck would be paid within 3 wks. after enrolling PG&E customers with GreenWave. After, I would be paid every other week. After 4 wks. I was still not paid, had my account locked because I stopped working. I was forced contact his administrator demanding payment. Her response was if I had a pay app, and that she was trying to get me paid. I was never told I needed a pay app. Had I not contacted her, I would have never been paid. Do NOT waste your time with Mike Foster he's a royal joke and GreenWave Energy should be ashamed doing business with him. read more

As we all know, the sales people that come knock on your door, usually represent the type of business that we should stay away from.... Well, this happened back at the end of August 2019. I was on the phone working from home and someone rung the doorbell. I opened the door to an extremely happy and friendly guy who immediately told me that he just needs a couple of minutes of my time to show me how "bad PG&E" are cheating people out of cheaper rates for gas portion of the bill by hiding info on cheaper alternative and green competitors. He got my attention and explained that he represents a company that is based out of CA and offers gas at much cheaper rate then a PG&E gas being brought here from Texas. He showed me numbers and assured me that if I switch, I will be saving a lot of money on my gas portion of the bill. (BTW, PG&E is still going to be doing billing). Then he placed me on the phone with someone on the recorded line and made sure that I answer "correctly" on all questions and acknowledgements that would confirm me switching to their company. He literally had me on a speaker phone and told me when and what to say. I was a bit surprised by such a wired confirmation process, but he managed to calm my suspicions and finished my switching process. So today (about 5 weeks later) I received an official letter from GreenWave Energy detailing my new service. The letter states that IN ADDITION to Variable Rate, I will have to pay: $9.95 monthly fee, $5 REC fee for a total of $14.95 per month !!!! Of course the above fees were never disclosed to me by the sales person. I contacted the company and asked them about all of the fees and prices. The person on the phone confirmed that the above fees apply, that the price is Variable and changes all the time and that PG&E will charge me in addition to that the Delivery and Transportation cost of the gas. I asked to be immediately switched back to PG&E and been told that the process will take about 2 billing cycles. I will have to pay a lot more for the next 2 month for going with this shady company. So, do yourself a big favor and stay away from the company Greenwave Energy ! read more
