Terrible experience. Ruined a shirt of mine with bleach stains and claimed it was not his fault. Then, a few weeks later lost a $120 sweater I brought in to have washed. He claimed he doesn't do the laundry so it wasn't his responsibility and only offered a $25 credit to make up for it. Refused to take any responsibility despite the laundry service being a subcontractor of his. Will never go back. read more

This is easily the worst dry cleaner I've ever been to, and I've lived in the area for 4 years. I had 4 times within a 2 month span where my suit pants and dress shirts came back with random stains all over them, and every time I brought them back, even with the cleaning tag still on them proving I had never worn them, I was still given a hard time and berated like I was trying to cheat them. This happened multiple times, and just as I was about to switch cleaners, it happened again and they could not have been more rude. I got yelled at like I've never seen before - even saying I don't mind paying for them to get rid of the stain - just not wanting my suits ruined. It is probably the least professional operation I've ever seen. I feel obligated to warn people, and spread the message to everyone I can. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! (unless you want to be yelled at, verbally abused and called a liar) and have CLOTHES RUINED. I have been going to Greenwich for probably 4+ years at this point without trouble and then this..... I go an buy a nice, not too expensive white shirt (Charles Tyrwhitt), wear it once and get it dry cleaned at Greenwich. Come back with a HUGE STAIN ON THE SIDE. I called the guy who says to leave it out with the rest of the clothing to get it cleaned again. Stain is still not removed. He tries again. Better, but not removed. The last time the guy comes to collect my laundry he tells me not to leave the shirt out again because that is the best they can do. I said I would call his boss about it then. So, I call the cleaner this morning. I ask to speak to the manager. "WHY??" is what I get. I said I have a problem with a shirt they were trying to fix. He said "CALL BACK AFTER 3". I said "okay, but what is the manager's name?" HE HANGS UP ON ME. I call back and ask him why he just hung up on me and comment how unprofessional he is. He then reveals that HE IS THE OWNER! He then proceeds to tell me that he is just too busy to speak with me right now and we can talk after 3. FINE. I call back just now at 3:30pm and ask if it is a good time. I am extremely polite especially considering that I have been treated as a second class citizen and hung up on. KEEP IN MIND THAT IN THIS WHOLE CONVERSATION TO FOLLOW, HE IS YELLING AT ME AND INTERRUPTING ME. When I remind him about my issue with the shirt, he tells me that he "knows" I go to other cleaners and how does he know I am not lying about the shirt? I ask him why would I lie about a $50 shirt and remind him that I have been going there for years and just want to rectify the situation. I also tell him he may think I go to other cleaners because I use an old cleaner's laundry bag that I no longer go to. He again accuses me of lying. He also tell me me the shirt is not "ruin", it only has a stain. NO. IT IS RUINED. Because going to the office with a stain on the front of my shirt is definitely professional. Not like he has any idea of what the word even means. Just because the whole shirt isn't charred and stained does not mean that it is not ruined. I tell him I don't even need a refund, a credit for $50 to cover the cost of the shirt. Therefore, he keeps my business and I don't have to hunt for a new cleaners. He refuses, insinuating that I am, again, lying to him and explaining that it is not "worth" it for him to give me a credit because then he would have to do at least 2 loads of my laundry to make up for it. YES, BECAUSE THAT MEANS YOU KEEP MY BUSINESS LONGER THAN 2 YEARS. Talk about bad business sense. I tell him that I will write a bad review about his business. He WOULD NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY or even try to come up with a solution. As a person who has grown up in NYC and have had a range of good and bad customer services experiences with several cleaners, THIS IS THE WORST. DO NOT GO HERE! I am suprised this guy is still in business. All is fine until he ruins your clothes, accuses you of lying and takes no responsibility. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS BUSINESS FAIL. But wait, they probably won't any time soon, because as a reviewer below me pointed out, they OVERWEIGH all the laundry and overcharge you. Terrible Service, Terrible Quality, Terrible People! This place gives dry cleaners a bad name! They ruined two shirts, put an iron through one, and bleached the other. When I brought this up to him, he immediately just started shaking his and stating that the shirt was old... it was less then a year old. He refused to do anything about it, even though clearly it was from over ironing. In addition before this happened I had caught him over charging me for my fluff and fold. When asked he just acted like it was a mistake... a mistake that happened two times in two months and would have ran me $40 extra between the two "mistakes". Surprised to see the bad reviews here. My experiences were generally OK. Does a good job dry cleaning. Prices aren't out of line. Definitely hasn't got the snotty attitude of Jerri's Cleaners on Sixth Avenue, but that's not much of a comparison. One caveat: I see that most of the complaints have been about their wash-and-dry service. Have never used that, only dry cleaning. read more

They turn your clothes around quickly, but I've had a couple of bad incidents. In one instance, they lost my shirt and never told me, only for me to come across it hanging there on one of their racks. When I commented that the shirt looked like mine, they claimed it was something else. I came back a couple of days later to report my shirt missing, and that's when they agreed that the shirt hanging there might be mine. In another instance, they charged me a totally wrong amount for the number of shirts that I had. Count your clothes and watch your receipts! read more

Got the hem just right; the shoulder adjustment I requested was a little off the first time, but I brought it back and he was able to fix it perfectly at no extra charge. I had a terrible experience. He ruined all my white Frette bath towels. They came back with big yellowish blotches on them and dark marks like they'd been slid across a filthy floor or the street. God knows what they did. One towel has a crisp area where the terry was raised and spare, maybe hadn't been washed at all or got wet after. So weird and gross. I went back to explain, having marked the dirty areas in the towels so he could see. Very angrily, he claimed to have gotten them like that. He refused to reimburse me for the cost of cleaning and destroying them. He offered to rewash which I turned down. These were lightly used towels, quite new. I wash towels weekly. Don't go there unless you want to be yelled at because they ruined the the things you trust them with. I went somewhere else to have them rewash with double bleach, and no improvement. They're stained and marked forever. So sad. read more

I don't know why more people don't give this place 5 stars. I love these guys. They've done everything from clean my wedding dress (for under $100!) altered pants perfectly for me, and even reimagined by husbands 80's style suit to make it fit better! They are nice, they aren't mean at all, they give great deals and deliver. I've taken my things to several cleaners/alterations in NYC and haven't experienced this level of service. What a crook! Definitely marks up the prices when you get your laundry picked up and dropped off. The worst is that they lose your clothes. I had put a juicy hoodie in with the wash once, when I got my laundry back it was replaced with a crappy Hanes hoodie. I called to report the incident, he didn't get back to me after saying he'd look into it. I called back a few days later and said that there was nothing he could do. Any girl knows that a Juicy hoodie costs 90 dollars. I told him I didn't expect him to refund me the full 90 dollars (although he should have) b/c accidents happen but when I asked to simply be refunded for that one time of laundry service for the inconvenience he refused. ABSOLUTELY PUTRID. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I created a yelp profile just to do my civil service here. This place is one of the worst establishments still standing, by some miracle, in NYC. I have had several items go missing including three EXPENSIVE items. 2 of these items were lost in dry cleaning; 1 item was lost in the laundry. When addressed with the manager, I was yelled at and hung up on. They do not take responsibility for any lost or ruined items. In one incidence, the suggestion by the manager was to watch a surveillance video of their employees taking out clothing from my dry cleaning bag. However, this video shows 2 minutes of footage in a 24 hour day. It's impossible to watch 24 hours of video footage but it is possible that the employees could have tampered with, opened, and/or taken out clothing from the bag at ANY TIME during the period in which they had the clothing. It is disgusting that these people try to trick and essentially rob you of what so generously entrusted to them. If you care about your belongings at all, do not trust them to such terrible people. ***Note that much more than 3 items have gone missing or been ruined but I've decided only to highlight the above.*** read more

They treat me with respect as if theg appreciate the business and they get things done with a rapid turn around. They also have excellent tailoring. This is my official cleaners. They've helped with some of the more complicated pieces I've brought in, from Thakoon to Maria Cornejo to ACNE, making them fit better or sizing them to what I need. James and his crew have been doing my laundry and dry cleaning for a long time and I've never had reason to complain or switch to another service. I live in the neighborhood, so they pick my laundry up and return it within a day or two. "Fluff and fold" is extremely economical, and dry cleaning is impeccable. I've been a customer here since about the time the owner changed to the current one, and I can't be any more satisfied. The prices are not high at all (dont believe in other reviews) compared to a lot of other places. I'm not saying they're low but they're definitely reasonable. I'm extremely picky about tailoring and they've had a couple different people to do the job but they always do the best. Once I brought pants to another place, closer to where I live because I didn't have time to drop it off and I had to throw them away because they completely ruined the hem. Safe to say that they are excellent with pants and skirts. As for lost clothing, I did lose a shirt and shorts but thats all common for dry cleaning. I've known the owner for a long time now and I know for sure he's not at all the type of person to be stealing clothes. When I first didn't get the shirt back, I asked him and he said that they ship out laundry and dry cleaning to another place and he's complained numerous times for lost/replacing of clothing but there's nothing he can do. I understand that people get upset and think he's taking your clothes but he's really not, and if you ask for a reimbursement he's paying from his own pockets. I read about these places that do the dry cleaning and laundry for a lot of different cleaners and they have hundreds of workers that they honestly can't be responsible for stolen clothes. Other than that, Greenwich is your best bet. read more

I've tried a few cleaners in this area and he's the one I stayed with. He's really friendly and I like that they don't use so much fabric softener as some of the other places! The prices are good and after going here for a few times (of course I also tip sometimes) he actually started rounding the prices to my favor! This must be one of the best cleaners/alteration shops in NYC. I have been going to see James for 5 years now and have never had a bad experience. Great place for wash and fold - the free pickup and delivery is very handy and the service is great. More than once they have made an exception in an emergency and delivered laundry or dry cleaning after official closing time. I've only been here twice: first, to drop off jeans to be hemmed and second, to pick the jeans up. Each pair of pants was $13, which was generally the average price around Chelsea/West Village (I called around). They did a pretty good job and the pants had a similar hem line as before (it costs extra to use the exact same bottom). The Korean guy (who I am assuming is the owner) was friendly. He even let me use the bathroom. He said they didn't have a public one at first. but I'm assuming he felt bad after seeing me fidgeting in my notorious pee dance. read more

Superb, careful tailoring at reasonable prices. Fast and deliver when promised (which is not that common).

I've had several pairs of pants hemmed here and have always been satisfied. Also, I once brought in a suit to be altered, and the owner was honest about what could be done without ruining the suit and offered to instead steam it for free to address the issues. And last night I arrived shortly after closing as the owner was locking up, and he actually unlocked the gate and door to fetch my tailoring. They seem ok at first because the owner is friendly, but their prices are super-high (they ship the wash-fold out) for the area, they cannot do same day unless drop-off is before 11, often times the guy cannot work the machine right so it takes ages to pick up and drop off, and they LOST several pieces of dry cleaning, the best for which they would offer after too much negotiation was some voucher credit. Not acceptable and would not recommend this cleaner. read more
