Crystals offers free pick up delivery and same day service if they aren't too busy. You call for a pick up and they drop off, no fuss service. Everything comes back perfectly folded and clean and you can have them use your own detergent if you wish. I recently began to use this place for my laundry and it's been great so far! It's only my third or fourth time but they bring everything back folded nicely or on hangers if I specify it can't go into the dryer as they told me if I wish I can leave my detergent with them and they'll label it for my apartment. They pick up and drop off or you can get it yourself which we did one time for a small load. We have been having problems in the laundry room with broken dryers or washers and it's such a nice relief to not have to play machine roulette.. I have been highly recommending them to all of my neighbors- especially when they complain about our current laundry problems! Crystal Cleaners is the best. I lived in Stuytown for 2 years and used them mostly for wash and fold. I'd either call them or walk by them on my way to work, and when I'd walk in they'd know to come pick up my clothes! They'd have it done the same day. Since Stuytown doesn't have a doorman, they were an awesome service because they were approved to get buzzed into the building. All I would do is leave it in the hallway outside my front door, and I didn't need to be home for the pick up and drop off. They charge 1$ for delivery - a really really great price and they really should charge more (@crystal cleaners)! They would handwash clothes that I would ask them, and also hang dry them and deliver them on hangers for a very affordable price and leave those on my door. Never ruined or lost any of my clothes. They are the sweetest hardworking people and have been affected by coronavirus! Please support them, I just moved and have never had wash and fold this good and affordable. I was in town for an interview and needed my suit cleaned of all the snow slush that it collected traveling though this so called polar vortex aka pain in my ass. They have great same day service that was ready when I needed it at a decent price. From what I understand it's one of the only same day places in the area too so it's great they do a good job with everything. Efficient, with quality service. I've come here several times over the past few years, mainly for dry cleaning suits. They always have quick turnaround (free rush service if requested) and never an issue with my clothing. On one occasion the lady in front found I had a few small holes in my suit pants and offered a quick repair before dry cleaning, which came out great. They have an excellent wash and fold service with a small minimum and are very affordable. They can do rush service for same day wash and fold and even deliver if you're in range and going to be home. The owners are very kind and will listen to any instructions you give on what to do with a specific garment. I've had them repair some expensive suit pants that had a small hole before and they came up with an invisible solution that got the job done. I admit I had reservations at first since I've always handled my own laundry. I toyed with the idea of going to a local laundromat and bringing a good book to read and meeting a hot guy who would entertain me while I paired my socks. Oh wait. This is the real world and I only read boring mind numbing medical textbooks and I already have a man in my life. :) Crystal washes, folds, and delivers laundry within the same day for $0.75/lb. Dry cleaning also comes back the same day! Also, I'm not sure who they use, but because I usually only dry clean dresses, my bill always comes out to $50+. I've never gotten my laundry or drop-off done here, so I can't speak to that. But their tailoring is excellent, and CHEAP. I'm talking half the prices of other places. To hem a pair of pants. They can do all the same stuff, like keep the original bottom of the hem if you want. I went in once and even asked if I can have it back in a few hours and she said yes - no additional charge (don't expect that always of course, but that was a nice one-off). I don't know if I am spoiled because the people in Astoria actually listen to me or what but really....Lets see 1st time I called and said I have wet laundry in the bag...my bill comes saying I had 46lb in the bag...I had to call and fix this because when it was dry it was 22 lb 2nd time ....my roommate and I asked them to pick up our stuff at the same time. They washed our stuff together and everything was mixed up. I don't need my roommate finding my underwear and bras in his bag. Oh and charged my card for everything. Thanks!!! NOW....in big letters and asked the guy who picked my stuff up....Please do NOT dry stuff in this bag. It all came dry and wrinkled on top of it all and to top it all off it shrunk as I was worried if it gets dried it may shrink. I think 3 chances is MORE than enough! read more

Excellent!!! Very accommodating. I used their laundry pickup/delivery wash service. Most places - If you call on a Saturday around noon, most places will typically return your laundry anywhere from Sunday to Wednesday. When I called Crystal Dry Cleaners they were extremely accommodating and confirmed they could have my laundry done same day. They picked up my laundry within the hour - no issues. I called them about an hour after the pickup to see if I could pay over the phone with my credit card. Again - no issue at all. In fact, they called me right back to let me know that they also do dry cleaning and alterations (nice!). Very friendly over the phone and very polite pickup and delivery persons. Laundry came back several hours later. Pristinely washed, dried and folded. Pricing was excellent (especially considering I really had NO desire to do my own laundry that day!) I recently had some dressy Indian clothes dry cleaned here. At first I was pretty upset because for one of the outfits, a long tunic with embroidery, two of the buttons had fallen off and on several of the other buttons the embroidery had come off. I left the outfit with Crystal dry cleaners who said they fix it. They replaced the buttons and embroidery so that it looked brand new, and did it in 2-3 days. I really appreciated the extra effort they put in to fix the outfit, and for free! read more

I wish I could give this place minus five stars. I used to like their service up until today when laundry came back completely soiled. It was as if they added dirt to the clothes. Seriously. Because they were so inexpensive I had let past mistakes slide like including other clients clothes with my own laundry, but when I called to inquire why my clothes came back so filthy, I thought they would at least offer to wash my clothes again. I was floored by the response I was given. I was told that for .75 cents a pound it's a crap shoot and if your clothes come back dirtier than before well that's just tough sh##%. To my relief (Uh...NO) they came up with a solution which was to PRE WASH my laundry before I send it to them to be washed. UHhhh hello, why would I pay for my laundry to be washed if I had to wash it before they got their hands on it only to put it in a dirt bath? Now looking back at the foreign clothing items I previously got back in my wash, I sure hope it wasn't someone's neatly folded and ironed DIRTY UNDERWEAR! GRROOOSSS!!!!! I asked the woman again if I heard correctly that even though I paid for my clothes to be cleaned and she returned them dirtier than before that she would not inspect it, offer to do it over or stand by any kind of quality assurance? She said yes, that's exactly correct. Because its cheap. Well, it's not cheap if its a crap shoot and I have to pay twice for something that should have been done once. They clean and wash your clothes well. But they didn't pair my socks!!! The other cleaners do. I subtract a star for that.

This place is not good, they ruined all my family clothing, shirts, pants, the kids clothing ..... entirely with holes, broken and damage, I lost a lot of money in clothing. The first four times they sent me other people underwear, pants, shirts and also missing socks.....I went back because they seemed very, very nice and apologized for it, I should stopped the first time. When I called them to describe what happen with the holes they did not considered responsible and told me that they do not need me as a client since they have 2000 clients. This is my first time writing a review, but I feel that I had to do it to tell other people about this. I do not understand why this place has so many positive reviews. I was so excited to be living to so close to a place that was so highly rated on yelp. Unfortunately this has been the worst laundry experience I have ever had. After bringing in my clothes in two completely separate bags- one with things that were dryer friendly and one with things that were not, I was confident that none of my delicate things would go in the dryer. I was wrong. They mixed my things together and then randomly selected some things to hang dry. A lot of my nicer clothes shrank or are ruined. They also nearly forgot to give me the clothes that were hang drying when I came in the day after dropping my stuff off to pick it up. They argued with me that all my things were there and that I was wrong. It was only when I put my things on the scale to show that I was missing 6 pounds of clothes did they believe I didn't have all my things. Further, one of the hampers I brought in was completely destroyed. It was dirty, had holes all over it and was basically falling apart. I had to throw it away. Overall, this place sucked. They ruined a bunch of my favorite things and I would never recommend them to anyone. I don't know if I am an anomaly, and they usually do a good job, but I would give them 0 stars if that were possible. Take your clothes literally anywhere else if you want them to come back correctly. read more

I struggled to find an affordable drop off and pick up service but Crystal's is it! When I originally called on a late Friday night they were closed but Crystal saw my call and called me back the next day upon the laundry mat opening. I dropped my 30lbs of clothes off at 1030am and they were ready for pickup at 430 pm which was even earlier than I thought I'd be able to get them. The total price was $20. Crystal is such a sweet hardworking woman that I will travel from Harlem to drop off my clothes to her. read more
