I woke up from The anesthesia administered by Dr. Stratman as if I had just been asleep. No side effects.

He told me my email, which he had memorized, let me know he would follow up the following day, and he asked if I go by "Michelle".

I had surgery at this hospital earlier this year. I want to be clear that my review is not about…read morethe doctors, nurses, or the clinical care I received. The medical staff provided very good care, and the facility appeared clean, professional, and well maintained. My concern is limited to the billing and post-procedure communication process. After the procedure, I reviewed the Explanation of Benefits from my health insurer, and the amount billed to me appeared to be significantly higher than what I understood to be the insurer's indicated patient responsibility. Because billing matters can be complicated, I tried to contact the hospital to ask for clarification and to request a written review of the account. In my experience, however, the process was very difficult to navigate. The available communication appeared to rely mainly on phone calls during business hours, which was challenging for me because of my schedule. I left voicemail messages explaining the issue, and I also sent fax communications asking the hospital to review the account and respond. As of this review, I have not received a clear written response resolving the discrepancy. I later contacted my insurer to seek clarification as well. From my understanding, the balance may still be treated as unpaid or not fully resolved, although the matter remains under review. I am continuing to work with both the insurer and the hospital to understand the final amount, if any, that I actually owe. What has been frustrating is not the medical care, but the lack of a clear and accessible written communication process for a billing issue involving an insurance EOB. If the hospital disagrees with the insurer's EOB or believes additional patient responsibility applies, I would expect a clear written explanation so the patient can understand the basis for the charge and address it appropriately. Again, I appreciated the clinical care I received. However, the billing follow-up experience was stressful, time-consuming, and difficult to resolve. Prospective patients may want to confirm in advance how this hospital handles insurance billing, EOB discrepancies, written billing disputes, and communication options other than phone calls. I would also encourage prospective patients to read a range of reviews, including lower-rated reviews, before deciding where to receive care.

The mobile X-ray was efficient, the radiologist's diagnosis was swift. My daughter was also born at this hospital. What an epic experience. Major kudos to the team at Good Sam. I was absolutely floored at the efficiency (I've been to ERs where the wait is hours). To be fair, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon so maybe things were a bit slower? All of the staff were very friendly, kind, and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we were cared for and received proper care. So why the one star off? Our son's splint was put on a little too tight which involved some discomfort and required us to go back a second time to have it readjusted. That situation wasn't ideal but thepediatric staff member met us at the entrance to immediately escort us in for re-treatment. I totally understand these things happen. If we ever need emergency services in the future, this is the place we'd go.

He is retiring soon and I think it's important that I write a review about how he has helped me with the quality of my life. I am a chronic pain patient and have been his patient for almost 23 years .I have had four surgeries just in the last five years not to mention the shoulder surgery for a grade 5 slap tear I have to face in the next year and neck surgery after that and if I don't have him to do blocks on my back and shoulder in between i do not know how I will handle the pain even with pain medication .I am devastated he's leaving his practice and retiring because there's very few people who care about those of us that have chronic pain and need pain management doctors.what I love about Dr Hopkins is he fights for his patients. He takes a stand and his courage gives me courage to stand up and fight for my rights and for others. Finding another interventional pain management doctor to replace him is going to be hard but I know he will help me because that's just the kind of person he is ,he actually cares as he's a wonderful Doctor Who cares about his patients But he's a decent human being which we seem to be lacking these days . I've always listened and done exactly what he asks me to do like walking or working out even if I don't feel like it I do it anyway. I keep my weight down, I watch what I eat I know pain management does not just involve taking medicine it involves staying in shape mentally, physically, and spiritually.Thank you Dr Hopkins. Thank you for fighting for all of us who would've otherwise fallen through the cracks and maybe not even still be here if it wasn't for you. I use my platform working for a non profit local TV show to help others and keep the Focus on the less fortunate and speak up for those that don't have the strength and courage to fight for themselves. Thank you Dr Hopkins ,I pray to God I find someone who will take me under their wing like you have taken me. Sheila Thomas

After dr Gutman's she visited another surgeon for a second opinion which turned out to be accurate and she did not need surgery. The situation which sealed the deal for me to lose all confidence in Dr Gutman was I just learned tonight, through a slip of the tongue, that while in high school my grandson had surgery for a pionoidal cyst. After surgery wound wasn't healing so returned to Dr Gutman who said it would heal just give it time and he was going on vacation. When I heard that I was very very upset even though it happened about three years ago. My daughter, grandson's mom, immediately took him to pediatrician who examined the would and referred them to wound care center. What kind of surgeon can't recognize and diagnose a wet wound that needs immediate attention at wound care. My opinion of Dr Gutman fell to the lowest score and I've lost all respect for him as a surgeon. His vacation was more important than his patient. With this information please do not put your trust and life in the hands of Dr Gutman. Don't mess with a grandma bear when it comes to her grandchildren. Think he's to preoccupied with his bridal gown designer and he's making bad medical decisions.
