I arrived on time, checked in, and was told to have a seat. After waiting 45 minutes, I went back to the desk to ask when I might be seen. The brunette receptionist rudely said, "It's gonna be a while." When I asked, "Longer than the 45 minutes I've already waited?" she coldly replied, "Yup." She never apologized or explained the delay, and I don't understand why they agreed to move my appointment earlier if they were already overbooked. I wasted a lot of time on a busy day. It's unfortunate because Dr. Struck is wonderful, but some of his staff made the experience very disappointing.

As an…read moreAfrican American woman with melanin-rich skin, I made it very clear during my consultation that keloids run in my family and that I was concerned about scarring after surgery. Dr. Struck assured me that it would not be a problem and that I would heal well. Trusting his expertise, I moved forward with a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. Looking back, I feel like it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. After surgery, I had to return to multiple office locations because stitches were left in both my breasts and my stomach for months. My surgery was in early January, and I was told the stitches would dissolve. Instead, some had to be removed, and others continued working their way out over the next 3 to 6 months. This left my incisions inflamed, irritated, and delayed my healing. I don't know whether someone in training was involved in my care, but the experience was very frustrating. I paid approximately $17,000 in cash for my procedures. Today, I have keloid scars around my nipples, across my stomach, and around my waist. I am embarrassed to wear crop tops or anything that shows my stomach because of how noticeable the scars are. I reached out to Dr. Struck several times to express how devastated I felt and how much my confidence had been affected. It often felt like my concerns were dismissed. Within the first year after surgery, one of my breast implants became hard. Initially, I was told there was nothing that could be done and that it would likely stay that way. Eventually, he did perform another surgery, and thankfully my breast is now soft again, which I truly appreciate. However, the keloid scarring remains. Because I specifically informed Dr. Struck before surgery that I was at high risk for keloids, I expected that concern to be taken seriously and factored into my treatment. I wish more precautions had been taken, or that I had been told if I was not a good candidate for the procedure. I am sharing my experience so that others--especially patients with melanin-rich skin who are prone to keloid scarring--will ask detailed questions and fully understand the risks before moving forward. My hope is that future patients who express these concerns receive the time, attention, and care they deserve.

Quick update! After…read more8 wonderful months I decided to have another syringe of Juvederm Ultra Plus XC injected to my upper and lower lips for my second time with Dr.Rosenthal. She did such a wonderful job the first and second time around that I only trust her to do any procedure on me. My lips look absolutely amazing, natural and sensual. Dr.Rosenthal is by far the best surgeon to go to. She made my lips look natural that literally the next day (even though I was a bit swollen) I was good to be out in public without having people stare at me weird.lol. The Juvederm injections didn't hurt because I had a nerve block that numbed me (the nerve block does hurt a little tiny bit) but it was worth it. I've never really had a full upper lip but thanks to Dr.Rosenthal and Juvederm that is a flaw from the past.
