Gregorio's is in our top restaurants to frequent. It is a favorite of locals who enjoy fantastic Italian food. We compare other Pasta Carbonara to Gregorio's and have yet to find better. The Chicken Francese is also a favorite...and if you request capers added, no Chicken Piccata can compare to the perfect lemony butter sauce. Quick delivery and pizza was hot. I've had pizza from many different locations around. This was better than most- lots of toppings. I'd suggest ordering it well done. The Caesar salad was a huge fail! The picture showed shaved Parmesan. This tiny tiny small salad had a handful of lettuce, sprinkling of croutons and parmesan cheese. Worth about maybe $2. Skip the salads. If you're going to have a website that comes across as authentic Italian you need to have salads that reflect that. read more

The pizza is good. It's on-par with northeast-region pizza. Pies are large, well made and toppings you can get are plentiful. A side of garlic knots is usually available if you ask for it - gratis. (kind of nice) BUT....(and here's why we're at 3 stars instead of 5. They have MASSIVE BRASS B*LLS to charge nearly $25 for a large pizza. That's patently obscene. Yes, Northern VA isnt the cheapest place to live, but if you add a half topping on two pizzas, you're looking at SIXTY bucks? While I like their food, they are absolutely fleecing customers. Be better than that, Gregorios. It costs about $3 bucks to make a pizza. read more

Ordered bolognese and requested extra sauce since they tend to go light on the sauce and the pasta soaks it up. Food delivered. No extra sauce. Called at 7:01 to let them know they did not include extra sauce. I was told they would bring me the extra sauce. 30 minutes later, no sauce delivered. Called back. Woman who seemed to be a manager said they would deliver me a brand new entree with extra sauce. Ok, great. 20 min later, a guy shows up with a sauce that seemed to be a tomato vodka sauce, no meat, as bolognese should have. It's now 2 hours later and no replacement meal and I have extra non-bolognese sauce. Waste of $$$ and a $7 tip. read more

Gregorio's Trattoria is an Italian restaurant located in a strip mall in Reston. They have a large selection of items from seafood to meat to pasta to pizza.  I tried their pizza, and I recommend it. I was seated quickly although without a host stand I was unsure who would be helping me. The server came soon enough. He asked if I wanted bread and I said no thank you as I'm trying to watch my calories, and someone else brought a big basket of garlic rolls which seemed excessive for a solo diner. Fortunately, I have some willpower so I only had one and brought the rest home. My veal marsala was fine. The mushrooms were well cooked and the veal was tender, but it didn't have a lot of sauce or flavor. I was almost done with the portion I wanted to eat when the server finally came back to ask me how everything was. I had been wanting Parmesan cheese for a long time so the last few bites were better than the first when I finally got some cheese. I took half the veal home and I'll probably touch it up a bit when I reheat it. I went to this restaurant because I had a birthday coupon and even though it was expired, they honored it which I appreciated. I was moving my son into college last week and could not get to the restaurant in time to use it before the expiration date . So overall, considering I had a coupon I would say the evening was fine. I don't know that I would travel again all the way from Leesburg to eat there at full price. read more

Gregorio's has good food, in fact, it's probably the best Italian in the Reston-Herndon Area. It's pretty traditional red sauce Americanize Italian but they do it, more or less right. Free garlic knots are a nice bonus. On our recent visit, however, the service just didn't cut it: we were seated at a table far too large for our party despite several smaller tables being empty nearby. Silver and plates were simply plunked down on the table without being handed out to us and food was shopped around when it arrived. Even getting a check took about 10 minutes. It wasn't really the server's fault I must add: they appeared to have three people for all dining room tasks. Still, not the service one expects. I'll try again but it's probably better for carryout. read more

Really like the pizza here. Chicken parm as well. Lasagna is meh. Usually order pick up since we live a couple minutes away. -1 star for the breadsticks or whatever they want to call what they send with the Chicken Parm. I was excited for the side of bread that is usually standard fare for an Italian place. Those were some incredibly sad, rock hard, derelict french toast-wannabe yeasty rectangles. They probably work perfectly as a door stop or as tire blocks. Everything else is great! read more

Good selection, good service. Decent food. Like others said, it's ok. We got the fettuccine and cheese ravioli. The food was good but expensive. They had a little too much salt. The table bread we had was actually impressive had it not been so tough like day old bread. I'd give this place 4 stars except in my To-go container they must of lost a ravioli and not told me. I'd go again if desperate but it's nothing impressive. The decor is very nice. Really wish I could give them 4 stars but they didn't fess up to losing a potion of my food when they took it to pack. read more

This used to be our go to Italian place in Reston and we would go at least once a month. Haven't been there in quite some time and we were shopping at the Giant so decided to try it again on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm. The entire restaurant is empty except for the bar area. The General Mgr seats us and says he will send a server over immediately. 5+ minutes later and nobody. Finally the server comes with water. We ask for a kids menu and 2+ minutes later...nobody. The wife can't take it and we get up and leave. General Mgr is no where to be seen. Server is socializing in the bar. So, I can't comment on the food because we never got to try it again but I will give 2.5 stars for old times sake. The pizza still looks quite tasty. The prices are definitely on the high side now...$30 for frutti di mare, $25 for veal marsala. $21 for Chicken Marsala. Now I know why we haven't been here in over a year...high prices, poor service and Pomodoro in Sterling kicks their butts. Not coming back... read more

Tucked back in the corner of this strip mall is a nice little Italian restaurant with great food. The wait staff is friendly and service is efficient. The wine selection is fairly limited but decent. The hidden gem part of this place is the ability to buy ingredients for your next at home Italian feast! Definitely check that out if you want to try your hand cooking at home. read more

We started ordering from Gregorio's during the pandemic, and now it's become part of our routine! We usually order Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Chicken Piccata. We love both! Portions are generous; we halve each entree, and have the opposite selection the following day. Delicious! read more

New to the area, my Familia of three decided to try Gregorio's Trattoria in Reston. They have a nice clean atmosphere and we were seated promptly. Service was excellent and we really enjoyed the complimentary garlic knot and marinara appetizer. Our meals consisted orders of the Pollo Saltimboccoa, Spaghetti Carbonara, and a personal 10" Quattro Formaggio pizza. Each dish was prepared quickly, delicious, and served very hot with a smile. I should also mention that the servings are generous, and each one of us took home leftovers. Highly recommend and we routinely return. read more

Hate this place. Food is average a best. Even basic spaghetti and meatballs is meh. Even the bread is horrible. The knots are better. The breadsticks can be dry. The chicken Marsala is so greasy. The chicken parm is meh too. So disappointed in this place. I only come here because I have to for celebrations. Not my choice ever! read more

My husband is celiac and we have enjoyed their GF pizzas in the past. Today we ordered lasagne as online there is a GF option. When I went to pick it up I double checked (thankfully) and was told they don't have GF lasagne!! I was asked to choose another meal that is GF and then charged full priced and told to wait an additional 20-30mins with no apology. Not to mention that my meal will now be over an hour and a half old. Awful! They have a site that gives incorrect allergy information and do not care. Stay clear of this place!! UPDATE: Amazing response! Within 24 hours I was contacted by the company with an apology and a promise to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. I am changing my review from 1 star to 4 after that conversation. Mistakes happen, but this company went the extra mile to let me know that they care and aim to be a safe place for those with serious dietary restrictions. read more

First time I've ordered and the food was amazing. We ordered via Grubhub and they somehow messed up our order. When we called the store, the manager looked up our order and did not find it. My co-workers love this place, so we came here for a birthday lunch. It's a cute setup and the service was great. I know the deal, re-branding, new chef, etc.. So perhaps my meal was just a growing pain? Unfortunately my carbonara was a combo of under seasoned pasta and curdled sauce with a side of scrambled eggs (see pic). So that was disappointing. Neighborhood place used to be better. Last night went on a pasta-craving whim, but was disappointed. Had a reservation, but no hostess stand anymore, replaced with Italian wines and fixings on retail shelves (anyone buying that stuff?). "Sit where you like" was the harried waiter's comment, but no open tables. No prob, a little wait. Ambience: noisy, families, tastefully decorated, clean. After sitting, was looking forward to their customary soft, warm, garlic knots, but omg, they were overdone, hard, crunchy... such a disappointment. Dunked it instead in the regrettably sweet and tangy marinara sauce, which made it worse. Maybe salads would put us on a better track - nope. House salad was loaded with carrot julienne/shavings - how odd and unlike what I thought an Italian restaurant should serve. Alcohol, that should help - nope. Wasn't asked by waiter about ordering anything than the water, so asked for a wine list - didn't recognize anything; ordered 1 each of the only Cabs, but ugh, so peppery. I drink enough wine to know what I like (merp), but Wine taste is personal/subjective tho, so can't/shouldn't blame the restaurant. Lastly, Penne Vodka was meh, but a highlight in the otherwise disappointing visit. We should have driven a little further to Cantina D'Italia or Zeffirelli over in Herndon (which we didn't recall were pinnacles), or where we really wanted to go but lazied-out, Ciao in Centreville. read more

The service at the Gregorio's in our Bethesda, Sangamore Street, has never been the greatest, but it's gotten worse. The latest manager I encountered this evening when picking up an order is one more in a string of slobs who walks around with his shirttail completely hanging out and makes me cringe at the thought of him touching my food. I would not want a sanitation worker waiting on me just after picking up the neiborhood trash nor managing those who do. Considering the price of the dishes, you'd think Gregorio's could place and higher value on the quality and appearance of their staff and managers. I'm not aiming as high as someone who looks like John Fetterman, but it would be a start. read more

Greggorio's has been a family favorite since the days it was still known as Mamma Lucia's. While we may not eat there as often these days, every time we go back, we are never disappointed. Last night I picked up a pizza and without knowing where I got it, my wife said "this is a great pizza". I agreed. The pizza at Greggorio's is excellent and worth the money. However, we have tried nearly everything on the menu at some point over the years and have never been disappointed. My personal favorite (go-to) was the veal piccatta. Carry out always makes it home still piping hot. We do miss the free garlic knots that used to come with every meal. They were a great addition to any meal. read more

Overall pretty authentic Italian food some Americanized items. Kinda expensive but the service was definitely worth it.

I placed my order online for Gregorio's through Foodsby, a website that partners with restaurants, collects orders from the same office building and then the restaurant is responsible for delivering the food to the office. It works great when everything goes smoothly, you place the order online and the food shows up at the front door of your office right around lunchtime. However, in this scenario - it did not go well at all. I placed my order like normal in the morning, and at around 11:37am I received a notification that my food was here. Great! I ran downstairs like normal but there was no food with my name on it. There were only about 3 bags there at the time, so I was positive my food wasn't there. At that point, I found 2 other co-workers who had also ordered from the same restaurant - but no food. At around 12pm I decided to call the restaurant to find out what happened. Trey (I believe his name was), answered the phone and was very nice. He said he would call the driver to find out and call me back. When he called back, he told me the driver said he had dropped off the food and perhaps I just needed to look more carefully to find it. I told him I was certain my food was not there because only 3 bags were sitting on the carts designated for Foodsby orders and I wasn't the only one - there were 2 other people who also didn't have their food. Trey asked us what we ordered and agreed to call me back after talking to his driver again. After having waited about 20 minutes downstairs for my food, I went back up to my desk and waited for a call back. In the meantime, I contacted Foodsby to see if they could do anything to help. Their support called the restaurant as well, and I got a message from Foodsby saying the same thing, that the driver delivered the food and I should double check to make sure it is there. I did double check and at this point, there was no food in the designated Foodsby area. I also checked other areas of the first floor just to make sure the driver didn't leave our food somewhere else. Our receptionists confirmed though that they had not come to make a delivery in our building. I suspect that the driver went to the wrong place and dropped off our food, but Gregario's never contacted me again and never decided to try to re-deliver our food even though they had the orders that the three of us placed. In the end, Foodsby was nice enough to refund our money, but I really just wanted something to eat. After this experience, I probably won't ever go to or order from Gregorio's again. read more

Went there last weekend with friends. I t was my first time. I had no idea that Reston had this little hidden treasure. Love everything They started us off with complimentary garlic knots and the best sauce. I had the salmon with linguine rose. It was absolutely delicious. Family-friendly atmosphere and authentic Italian food can be found at Gregorio's! My group loved the pizza made with homemade dough, the spaghetti and meatballs, and carbonara were all big hits!
