Dr. Lo is one of those people. A natural educator in a dental scrubs, Dr. Lo took the time to explain common misconceptions about dental hygiene with kindness and zeal. When I called at 8:05 a.m. to move my wife's appointment, I was told we'd be charged a $129 cancellation fee for being within 24 hours. She's currently bedridden and unable to do much of anything--making a dental visit completely unrealistic. After more than 30 years with Dr. Beougher, I was stunned by such a steep penalty. Other practices may charge a modest $25, but $129 feels excessive. I told the staff on the phone to cancel every future appointment--we will not be returning. Driving nearly 30 miles one way was already a commitment, but this policy makes it impossible to justify. Especially now that I'm retired and on a fixed income, I simply can't afford to support an office that treats long-time patients this way.
