This shop is SO honest ! ( a rarity in this day and age). Our son's girlfriend thought she needed an alternator - another shop would have given her a an expensive alternator in a minute - Greg's said nope - it is fine - $20 charge. For many years we have been trying to find a good mechanic who is honest. I think that many mechanic's know what they are doing, however, they are not the most honest because they want to make the money, sometimes taking advantage of unsuspecting customers and doing unnecessary work. I found Greg's Auto Repair upon recommendations from the tire guys at Costco (Park Meadows). We have been using Greg's Auto Repair for the last year for many of our needs - oil change, alignment, battery and brake replacements, and other work. Greg has been absolutely great to work w/. If he sees any work that needs to be done or parts replaced, he makes suggestions. We have never been pressured to use him or his shop for the work. Now, not only I use Greg for my cars, my family uses Greg for their cars as well, and all of us have been happy w/ his workmanship and service. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. Something changed. Greg was always very nice, honest, and a good mechanic, BUT, while always doing a great job on my dad's autos for a fair price, I decided to take my car into his shop for a tune up. I informed him that I had no idea what tune ups entailed. He gave me an over the phone estimate for all kinds of things. When I get there he wanted to charge me extra for an oil change that was already included in my estimate. I decided not to get it. I pay a large amount for just the tune up not realizing it was way too much money. My dad takes a look at my car to do an oil change for me and finds that Greg ONLY did my spark plugs and wires for the price of what should have included a filter AND oil change. I was burned by Greg, and now know better than to go back. read more

Took a car in for a pre-purchase inspection with a specific issue that we were concerned about - serpentine belt squeal. Greg said it was the belt. We replaced the belt and it still squealed. Greg assured us that it was just the belt. Eventually we took the car somewhere else after the purchased and immediatedly found the issue costing $475!! Driving from Texas to Colorado, I warped my brakes. Had to find a place to get checked because there was no way to continue. Drove to a major auto shop and they were so busy they couldn't take my car for two days. However, they referred me to Greg's Auto. Andrew was amazing and took my car in even though it was late in the day. Gave me the news that I had to have front rotors and pads and he left the back ones up to me. After hearing the objective info, we decided to do it all. He gave us an incredibly fair price and got us out and on the road in 90 minutes. Even gave me some tips on how to drive through the rest of the passes on our way to Breckenridge. Got here safely and without any issues. So glad to have stopped and been referred to Greg's auto. I had an engine fire on my Wrangler that took out a lot of parts. The problem was in late 97 early 98 the wrangler was still changing models and a lot of those parts are not available. Greg wound up building a wiring harness, and researching where he could get some of the parts and got my jeep up and running like a top. When there were options (prices and parts) Greg called me to see which way I wanted to go. I GUARANTEE that I will be going back to Greg's if/when I need work done. read more

I've taken my vehicle twice to Greg's. Once to fix a power steering pump and a second time to have the transmission computer checked on. They warned me ahead of time it may need to go to a transmission specialist. They recommended Parker Transmission which did a great job. read more
