We had them for our vet clinic for years even in the old clinic. But, when Covid hit we were treated badly by the staff. We had to send our pets in with problems that were never addressed even though they were written out on the papers. It took 2 -3 visits costing more money than needed for ear infection issues. We called this clinic that had seen my pet from the day we got him at 6 weeks. He was twelve and having trouble breathing we were ignored until he died in the lobby in my husband's arms. They did put us in the room but the cold uncaring person came in with paperwork and a card reader assuming we wanted him cremated. When we told her we were taking him home she looked shocked. We were told the doctor Chris was with another Scheduled patient. He did call us but said oh no I was in an emergency. I didn't believe him. I didn't take my new baby to him. He isn't the same person he use to be after over 20 years will go with someone else thank you. read more

Heartless money grubbers with no compassion. My pet has been taking the same medication for 3 years. Suddenly, out of the blue, they tell me that I have to pay them over $80 to see my perfectly healthy dog. He just needs a daily dose of his meds. They are very expensive. I explained to the person on the phone that they hit me with this at a real tough time for us financially and I couldn't afford both the exam and the meds. Her response: well, it's tough times for everyone, but we can't help you due to the law. The law doesn't require you to change $80 to see a healthy animal. read more

Best vets in town! My poor chocolate lab was hit and drug by a car while a "friend" was dog sitting for us. His back leg had bad road rash and required surgery. We also made the decision to neuter him so we never had a situation like this again. They did both surgeries at the same time. My Burny is a very happy boy! 5 years old now and jumps around and plays like a puppy!! They also neutered my Golden Doodle. That also went along very smoothly. Like many say, Dr. Chris is the best. Took our old dog here for a checkup today and he is a very knowledgeable doctor that loves his job and loves animals. His advice is always helpful and honest. Other vets I have seen can be very pushy with medicines or treatments that don't always feel necessary. His advice is not at all pushy and is for the well being of pets. After moving to Oregon from Florida, I was eager to find an animal hospital and a vet for my Cocker Spaniel. Wally is a terrible patient and I was nervous about finding the right fit. Dr Chris was a champ at making up to my nervous dog. He is truly dedicated - Dr Chris loves his work and lives it! Update: my dog got an ear infection and I needed to come in ASAP. The next appointment available was over 2 weeks out, so decided to do the "drop off" option. We waited in the car for 45 minutes for him to be picked up, no big deal. He then waited inside from 8:30AM - 5:15PM. When they finally brought him out, he was frantic and clearly had not been allowed to go potty for nearly NINE HOURS. The vet himself is great, but I would never recommend anyone do the drop off. They're just too busy to make it a priority. read more

The people are very friendly and Sarah the vet was awesome with my nervous dog. I did not have to wait long in the lobby but it was spacious and comfortable. The vet listened to my concerns and shared things I could do to help my dog with her allergies. Gresham Animal Hospital is a great place for your pet's primary care. Both Dr. Chris (who I think may be the owner) and Dr. Zuver are really great. Our coonhound loves them, and they obviously care a lot about their patients, and stop to give good advice. It is a busy place, and the vet techs do a good job of keeping the place running. This weekend, our Coonhound picked up a laceration. They were able to fit us in on short notice to get him sewn up. While they had him under general anesthesia, they were able to take care of a wort on his head at the same time. Prices are reasonable for the area. read more

I've been taking my dog here for over 10 years and have always had a wonderful experience. Everyone is warm, kind and very loving towards Mouse. Today really took it over the top and ensured that I will never seek the services of another vet clinic again. I recently adopted a senior cat and last night he began to have worrisome symptoms. There was no improvement this morning and I drove him to the clinic right away. I walked in 10 minutes after they opened with no appointment and we were seen right away. My timid, sometimes fearful cat was putty in Dr. Chris' hands. He explained everything thoroughly and carefully and gave me numerous options and action plans that ensured me Hank is being well taken care of. I love this place and these wonderful people. Dr. Zuver is an amazing vet. She is very kind and give very realistic expectations. However this covid-19 has made everyone wait in the car for their pets. The front staff have been extremely slow at the check out process. So the wait takes FOREVER. After waiting 15-20 minutes waiting for them to call us for payment. I decided to call them because my sister has work and we both need to use the restroom (it's been 65+ minutes total in the car), the front staff gave me an attitude saying "now that you have paid, we will bring him out". We have never not paid and spent thousands here, and the way she talked was very rude as if we would leave without paying. I have had my pet return before I paid in the past and they take the payment after, so I didn't see why today was different. My other experiences here have been good until today. So please try to generate a faster checkout process. read more

Curry my sweet little fur baby went in for her first puppy visit. The woman who came to take her back was so kind. I was really surprised to hear from the doctor who answered all our questions. (There were a lot of them). She took her time and I never felt rushed. I did however pay my bill , but it took quite awhile before they brought her out. We were the only car in the parking lot. When the business manager has to respond to my post about their poor service and justify her staff's poor behavior-that shows me that they don't have any character at all therefore you've lost longtime customers. I will say this again. Customer service is huge. Also, you should be ashamed to make false statements about mask wearing. It was nothing to do with that contrary to what your minion told you I said that I (we) were uncomfortable coming in due to COVID and others not wearing masks. Also, the words shopping never came out of our mouth-your blue haired Minion again made a false statement. Also, you didn't address my other issue on being on hold for 10 minutes straight. I recommend Gresham Animal Hospital as high as possible! They are busy, especially during Covid. But when they are with my fur baby...it's as though she is their only patient. Both Dr. Catherine snd Dr. Chris are amazing. When my dog was sick, they didn't order unnecessary tests and were conscientious of the expense of caring for my dog. I'm changing my review from 4 stars to 1. The past 3-4 times I've been here my dog has nearly died from their unhelpful tips. I won't state the doctor's name but he advised me to give my dog insulin while my dog wasn't eating. My dog shortly then was unable to walk or do anything else, I took him to the hospital (elsewhere) and they advised me not to give him insulin if he isn't eating. Shortly after my dog started doing better. Most recently I took my dog there to get a lump removed. I got tricked and they took me in the next day (non-surgery day) so I could pay the $150 exam fee and then come back again next week to pay it again and have the surgery. After the surgery, I wasn't given any pain medications for my dog. Before the surgery I had to call multiple times for directions on how to feed my dog and give him insulin before the surgery. A week after my dog had surgery, he walked as if he had something lodged in his rear end, which is where the surgery was. One sleep later, my dog had a seizure and passed away. I have two other dogs at home and will not be bringing them here. I feel like this place just wants more people in and out rather than caring for your dog. read more

Very solid care if you are able to be seen. Waited two months to get my pup seen because this is suppose to be the best in east county. Was told there wouldn't be hat kind of wait again once my pup was seen. Just spent 2 hours trying to get through and was basically told to not bother as it would be at least six weeks to see a known patient. read more

Dr. Chris is good and competent. My criticism is directed at staff or some deficiency in their computer system. Twice I phoned to tell them that our beloved cat, Rosie, had died tragically. I've recently began taking my dogs here again. Years ago I wasn't impressed so we chose not to but I really like Dr. Sarah. She's easy to talk to, knowledgeable and good with the pups. She communicates. That's huge! The front desk is busy but it's a busy practice. They're usually running, helping multiple people in person and on the phones. People are kind and I've gotten quality care for my dog. We're now taking our two new pups here. I'm very thankful to have a good practice nearby. read more

A really amazing experience we had from start to finish. I noticed matted hair on my dogs face and cleaned it and there was a little hole in his face and I was freaking out. First off when I called the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I explained what was going on with my fur baby and they were able to get us an appointment the next day. When we arrived the staff was all very friendly check in was quick and easy and we didn't have to wait long to get to a room. We met with Dr. Zuver and she was super friendly. She checked my dog out and basically knew exactly what was wrong. She went over how much everything would cost before any commitment and recommended certain things to lower cost. We booked the dental appointment that day for the following week and she ensured us that she's dealt with this before and we had nothing to worry about. Day of the dental appointment I dropped him off in the morning and she was done removing and cleaning his teeth in a few hours. Dr. Zuver called and told me he was fine and I could pick him up in a couple of hours. My dog is totally healed within the time period she told me he would and they did call and check up a few days after too! Way to go on customer service! Pricing is what we expected, I haven't been to a different vet hospital before so I don't have anything to compare it to. read more

We started taking our Cairn terrier to Dr Chris 14 years ago when he was 8 weeks old. We have never had an issue with the care and treatment we received from any of the staff.
