Gresham Jeep Dealership - If I could give 0 stars I would!! I usually get my oil changed regularly here and this last time I went, I had to get 2 extra diagnostics done. A ticking noise on my engine and my key fob battery was going dead. (Not really, it needed to be fully replaced but they didn't care to tell me that. Just changed the battery) They charged me an extra $400 just to tell me what was wrong with the vehicle.. come to find out later down the line there was much more they didn't tell me about! Long story short, I didn't trust their diagnosis after repeatedly asking so many questions about what was wrong with my Jeep rather than just reading the little note they put on my receipt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guy had no idea what to say and couldn't care to ask someone else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked "how much longer can I safely drive my Jeep or do y oh recommend i stop now?" He said, "well I'm not too sure, I could tell you it's fine for 5 more years and then you could drive off the lot and it'll blow up".. Let's be for real... what kind of customer service is that? Such a sarcastic ass response. I was told my front breaks could be replaced soon but back is good! Come to find out they're both at a dangerous level to drive! Love that. (I got them checked by the dealership at my last oil change like always) Then they to find out I have an oil leak... mind you I hadn't been driving my Jeep and the dealership didn't tell me anything about a leak. They quoted me an extra $4,000 on top of the $400 to replace my camshaft with damaged rocker arms. The lovely mechanic I found (that is reliable and knowledgeable) is charging me only $4,800 to replace the camshaft, all rocker arms, all my spark plugs, front and back breaks and fixing the oil leak. Doing a lot more for a lot less with respectful customer service! I hate how the dealership is so money hungry and take advantage of women specifically! It's been a hit and miss relationship with this location. Two oil changes , two fuel filters. Recall service work Parts through the parts counter for the last 5 years Some recall service work was recently performed at the end of February, they drained my coolant reservoir, failed to refill it afterwards and let me drive off the lot. Luckily enough I wasn't going far. The notes mentioned that they washed the engine bay, which would be nice except for they left the coolant that they spilt over the top of the air intake. Good of me to always be prepared, I have the coolant at home. I was able to help myself. I won't ride them too bad since it was "free service" but I definitely don't appreciate bad customer service. I called and left them a message for the following Monday, before they got my message they sent me a text to review how they did........would've been more appreciated if they offered to top off my coolant at the minimum as a way to make the effort to correct the wronging. I can't promise I'll be back or ordering parts here again. I'll have to weigh my options moving forward. *update* I appreciate them wanting to make it right. I moved to 3 stars just for that. The worst dealership experience of my life, lied to by the service writer, they tell me it needs an engine but cant tell me what failed to cause it, told me they submitted for warranty but when I called the warranty company they had no record of it. when I talked to the service manager he was rude and showed no interest in solving the problem and just justified the poor service, his argument for not being able to tell me what the frailer on my truck is "this tech has been doing this 22 years and knows what he's doing" when asked about them not submitting it to the warranty he said "I wouldn't have either" yes the truck did go over on 2 oil changes in its 72,000 life but was never left low on oil and always checked when I couldn't make it in for a service. but as a manager of a shop I would never treat a customer this way and I most certainly expect better from my team. read more

I got an email saying my appointment was canceled without any notification and no one reached out to me to discuss why or reschedule my appointment. I called this morning and was told the time was blocked off but how was it blocked off when I was able to schedule my appointment earlier this week on Monday? If the schedule was blocked off, someone should have called me and informed me. The gentleman I spoke to could not fit me in the schedule by Sunday as I scheduled this appointment to have service done before the weekend since I will be traveling but now I am stuck at an inconvenience. I read the yelp reviews and thought to myself. I will still give it a chance however, I understand why the yelp reviews are so low now I do not recommend this place for service, especially if they are going to treat people like this. Took my Chrysler 300 in for a lube & oil change, had an appointment for 10am. Arrived at 9;30 and the car was taken right in. The lube & oil change was not completed until after 10;30, a little slow but understandable. The bill was $161.94 which included an engine air filter. That seems high to me. Next time I will try Jiffy lube for faster service and cheaper price. I will say that the service personnel were pleasant and courteous and the shop is clean. Service writer did no push for any unwanted or unneeded service, in fact said that the cabin air filter was good till the next service. read more

I typically hate dealerships and the people that work there you always feel rushed and pushed and always feel like your getting ripped off. But for a change I did not feel that here my salesman was Vlad he was very very helpful and professional he was not pushy at all he gave me my space and valued my needs he really put in the work and got me above what I was asking for my trade in and was very fair on the price for the TRX if there was a way to give this guy more than 5 stars I would. Avoid this dealership. Ordered and purchased a 21' Promaster last fall. When ordering at the dealership the salesperson flew through all of the options and put me in a position where I had to catch any mistakes he made. It felt like he couldn't get me out of there fast enough. Fast forward to my vehicle arriving. I was called and told my vehicle was ready for me. I show up and they had checked in the wrong vehicle. No big deal, I told them I would go home and they could call me when it was ready. They basically begged me not to leave and assured me it would be ready for me "very soon." I sat in that dealership for 4 hours before my vehicle was ready. I suggested I leave and come back several times and each time was told "very soon" "any minute." I would not have cared if they had just been honest and told me they'd call me when it was done. As a side note, in the 4 hours I spent in that dealership, it became very clear what kind of people are working there. Totally threw me off overhearing their greasy sales tactics, betting what kind of price they could get out of a customer, or how they think they can upsell, etc. Just bad vibes. And this is coming from someone who used to work in sales. When the vehicle was presented to me, it was covered in blue wax pen marks from the factory still. Had barely been cleaned. Hadn't had the floor mats installed, and they had forgotten to order the cargo mat I specifically requested. Not at all what you expect when picking up a new vehicle. The salesperson "delivering" the vehicle barely knew anything about it and basically left me to figure everything out. Afterwards, they had the audacity to ask me for a 5 star review and told me that anything less is a failure to them. Last time I checked, a 5 star review should require 5 star service. Good luck. Now, my cargo area led lights have stopped working. Not a huge deal. I reached out to the dealership twice. Email and phone. Leaving messages. And have never heard back. I agree with one of the other reviewers, Paul Johnson is a liar. I expressed my concerns to the general manager in an e-mail. He sent it down to the sales manager. I guess he was too busy to be bothered to handle it himself. The whole process took almost seven hours. Way too long. It was almost a two hour wait just for the finance person. I guess I have to blame myself for some of it. I should have just got up and walked away. I will never go back to this dealership for anything. I worked with a salesman for a week and a half on a deal we finally came to an agreement drove an hr and a half for them to tell me "we fucked up" those were the literal words they used.. they did the paperwork work and deal on a different vehicle, I had the whole deal in text messages and they refuse to honor the deal. This is a company that's trusted with millions of dollars and they can't figure out the right vehicle. I came here to look at a used 2013 Elantra Limited I found through my insurance's car buying service. I had a certificate with an offer for a small discount ($150 net - $300 but they add back in a $150 admin fee) off their asking price, and an appointment with a specific person. When I arrived, he was busy, so another salesperson helped me. I waited over an hour while they located the car. First it was being detailed, then it was en route, finally he found the car next door at another dealership having a recall issue addressed. When I test drove the car, it had a few minor issues they were unaware of as it hadn't been detailed or inspected yet, but notably a non-functioning sunroof. I liked the car, and made an offer, using my emailed price as my start and taking the condition of the sunroof into account. The salesman was appallingly rude, said the car could be sold for several hundred higher than they were listing (this margin later grew to several thousand when I spoke to another salesman) and when my boyfriend tried to show him the blue book trade in value, he stood up, and flounced off. I attempted to reach out to the sales manager, thinking this was just an issue with one salesman. I got a different story depending on who I spoke to: They never heard about the certificate price; They did, but it was only for USAA members; Oh, you ARE a USAA member, well back to we don't know where that number came from, they sure wish USAA/true car wouldn't do that. Then I was told the car was priced based on the sunroof being broken, when I was the one who discovered it didn't work during the test drive, and then that person backed down and admitted they were speculating, trying to defend the refusal to negotiate on the price. I was also told at one point they were selling the car for what they traded it for so there was no negotiation margin (what business model is that? You have no margin on a trade in?) And that they didn't know how to make a counter offer because "millennials don't like to negotiate". Wow. I ultimately returned to make a deal and buy the car at the price on the certificate, since the first salesman had said they could repair the sunroof, because that's the kind of car I've been looking for, only to get all the way out there and be told that they would not repair the damaged sun roof or discount the car because of it. At that point I walked. I would never recommend anyone come here. The refusal to negotiate on legitimate malfunctioning parts, for a few hundred dollars, plus the obvious prevarications are clear red flags. read more

Went to the Dodge dealer this morning in Gresham to pick up my car from service. I had a question on my bill about a diagnostic fee. I was quoted the diagnostic fee when I took it in, but I asked if that price would get absorbed into the repair fee and he said "yes". So I signed the paperwork. They had to get the service manager to come talk to me about it, which was fine, so I waited in the customer lounge. When he came in, he didn't even have the courtesy to walk over to me, but called out from the doorway "what can I do go you?" In an attitude of I don't have time for this. . So I said, "do I need to come over there to discuss?" and he said yes. So I walked over there and explained to him what took place with his service advisor. His response was "he would NEVER say that". In other words I was a liar. I stayed calm, but I was fuming inside. I told him "you just lost a customer". I wasn't angry with anyone and was very calm, but wanted to get it resolved. He was rude the moment he opened the door to the lounge. I had such a horrible experience when I purchased my car at that same dealership many years ago, that I wouldn't even take it there for regular maintenance. I decided to give them another chance since it had been several years. I took my car in for several issues last September. They had my car for a month, but in the end everything worked, so I was happy. Unfortunately, the gauge cluster that was replaced went out (this made the 3rd replacement) and it was still under warranty, so I took it back there and had my turn signals repaired. Then this happened this morning. We have been looking at 5th wheels and a new truck to pull it. We will not be buying from them. We have repeatedly complained about an employee who drives in, around the lot and parks (in their lot) adjacent to our neighborhood. It sounds like their car has no muffler, and they fire it up, revving it over and over, at length. Also, they play their defeaning stereo booming throughout the neighborhood while they sit inside the car. We have called directly several times, begging them to ask their employee to have some respect and stop revving, burning out, and blasting music. They practically laugh at us. And to whomever checks off "funny" on this review like the last three can stick it. We have made formal complaints to the city of Gresham, the Better Business Bureau, and the Chamber of Commerce. This business allows an employee to menace the neighborhood residents with noise pollution and finds it humorous to hear that others are negatively affected by their nuisance. read more

Through the years it's been hit and miss but they always fixed the problems even if it took a few attempts. As a auto shop owner myself I understand that that is normal and auto repair is often quite challenging. This review is more about customer service, the last few times I have been in, I have had Kelsey as my service advisor with both of my vehicles. She listens very well to my concerns and I feel must do a great job passing them on to the technicians as everything has been fixed correctly the first time. The worst service department ever. Think the Connors of Lanford, Illinois meet Suburbia. Just horrid. Took our van in January. After weeks of not "getting to it", their Service department's roof collapses during the winter storm in February. They never called and told us. We learned after calling for the third week. They tell us they can't do anything for about a week or two unless they find another place to fix the vehicles. A couple of weeks turned into two more months. One day, my fiancé stops by to check in , and he was told. "Your van has been fixed. We should have told you." We go back there an hour later to pick up the van. And they can't find it. Took over 30 minutes to find it. The lot staff even asked me if I had seen it. Crazy! Mind you, every salesman at that time either was not wearing a mask at all, or wearing their masks incorrectly. Entire noses out of their masks. Salesman in the parking lot smoking cigarettes, throwing their butts on the ground everywhere. Finally, we are close to freedom from the Rona spreaders, as they pull the van around and wave bye. My fiance opens the driver door and this is what he sees (see photos) as the lot attendant walks away! My fiance goes back in the service department, brings out the ditsy chick (only one wearing her mask correctly) she asks, " You can't put it back together yourself?" I am thinking "So this a self-serve service department, wtf?" I would give this place zero stars, if I could. The awful apathetic people who work here are the WORST! If I could give negative stars, I would. They have had my jeep for 16 days and now it's Friday meaning at least 19 days they will have it without finding the source of what is wrong. Every time I call I am forwarded to a voicemail and may or may not get a call back for 2+ days. We have now paid out of pocket for a rental that was supposed to be covered by my warranty. On top of that they are saying the fix is $4.00 below my warranty coverage so now nothing will be covered. With how long they have been "working" on my car the time and labor should have added up to be enough, that is if they actually are even working on it. Now , 16 days later we are out almost $400 on the rental and the car still isn't fixed. All I keep hearing are the same excuses from the service advisor. I understand these cars are new, electronic and things take time but this is unbelievable. If they can make this right when I NEED to pick my car up Monday I may change my final review but as of now, this is some of the worst service I have ever had. read more

The service and parts consistently over charges. If you choose to use this dealer for your service please pay close attention to your costs. You will have to ask your service provider for the cost of each add on service they recommend because they will not offer that up to you. I was under warranty for my Jeep Grand Cherokee in which you get free oil changes for two years and they consistently for two years tried to charge me each time! I had to argue with the person I checked out with every single time to get the charges removed. I went in for my last free oil change today and all of the filter changes were suddenly "additional charges" from the oil change when they had never been before, so I still walked out $200 poorer, when I was told those were included. When I pushed further on this, I was told, "Yea, the prices have changed since the last time you came in." GOOD RIDDANCE. I know auto service providers traditionally get poor ratings, but this is was simply absurd. I recently went here to look at a car and I had a very positive experience. Simon Reta took great care of me and my husband answering any questions we had. He was kind and helpful and professional. He was also very sweet to our son. Engaging in comversation with him so he wasnt bored. We left very happy as they worked well with our budget. Lowered the asking price of the vehicle was very helpful. I appreciate everything they helped us with. Only thing I didnt like was a couple employees smoking in the car lot and throwing cigarette butts on the ground. Its gross and unprofessional and not safe around kids and cars. GCDJR replaced the air filter box on my Jeep Renegade a year ago due to a broken air line connector. When it broke again I returned to the dealership to inquire about warranty coverage. After much runaround involving unreturned phone calls and unfounded suggestions that I was at fault for the broken part (this, without even inpecting the damage), I was told by the Service Manager that they are not honoring warranties (!) on broken parts due to the difficulties in being reimbursed by Chrysler. He advised me to contact Chrysler directly. I was shocked, but I followed his advice and the customer service person I spoke with, who was incredulous as well, then checked back with the service manager. However, he gave her a completely different story, saying that warranty coverage was declined because the part broke due to "outside influences". The customer service person was unable to tell me what these influences were, but the part was never examined by a mechanic, so it's difficult to say how the service manager came to his conclusion. There is no way to view this other than as a blatant lack of honesty. I have been a GCDJR customer for years, but my advice is now to avoid this service department, if at all possible. I have read previous reviews and am amazed at how many give a one star rating. I realize that my story is just one more drop in an ocean of negative reviews and won't have much impact. These people just don't care. But how is this dealership able to stay in business? read more

After two months of not hearing from our salesman we stopped back in and talk to Pat. Pat has been our only positive experience at this dealership. He took down my information and the details of what I was looking for and told me he would keep an eye out and definitely let us know. About 10 days later he text me a jeep they had but it wasn't quite what I was looking for, then maybe another 10 days to two weeks after that he text me and it was literally the exact jeep I wanted. The moment it was officially traded in he sent me a text and we went the very next morning to check it out. We ended up buying it that day knowing that it still needed to be detailed, but they assured us that they had already done a full inspection on it and everything was roadworthy. We made an appt & drop my car off via the overnight drop off. The next day around two I decided to go by and see if it was ready. When I got there my car was parked in one of the customer parking spaces and seemed like it was done so I went and asked. The lady was nice, and asked if They had called me to let me know it's done and I said no I was just checking. She said well it's probably gonna be about 45 minutes you can either come back or if you'd like you can wait. I decided to wait and an hour later she comes running out panicked looking for me to let me know oh my gosh your car was done when you got here I'm so sorry you waited. I told her my car has been out front since I got here and she said why didn't you tell me. The service workers didn't tell me it was done. It's not my job to tell you if it's done, you should know that, you work here. Whatever not the biggest issue. Then, we finally got an appointment to have our local mechanic look the car over. We want to take it on a road trip and we just bought it so seems like a smart move. Probably the best choice we ever made. First the radiator is leaking, seems like it's from thecap. I decide to just buy a new cap and not worry about that. But the lower valve cover gasket is also leaking! This is not OK and I cannot believe that, one they didn't find the super obvious leak. My mechanic had it up on the lift and it was ridiculously obvious. And 2 that they would sell it with a valve cover gasket leak. So we went in and they said that they would make an appointment to check it out and let us know what's going on. We have only owned the car for maybe two weeks at this point. So again we do the overnight drop off, they said that my appointment was for 7 AM the next day. I asked them at that time if once they inspect my vehicle they'll give me a call and let me know what's going on, the guy working assured me that they would. By 3 PM the day of the apt I had not heard anything. So I sent a message via replying to the text that they had sent me if I have any questions while my car is being serviced. I ask what the status of my car was. The response was they are currently working on your car. OK great what does that mean?! Are they still just looking at it to determine what the issue is are they fixing it because they knew they shouldn't of sold it that way? What is going on? Then at 5:22 PM I get a voicemail and a text message at the same time saying that my car is ready for pick up. The text message also says they are open from 8 AM to 5 PM. So you literally wait until you're closed to give me any feedback at all which is almost no feedback. Great. So the next day once I'm off work I headed to get my car. The poor girl working the front service desk is new and she's having trouble finding my car in the system. There are two younger mechanic men sitting behind her desk doing nothing. And they are suggesting how she should find it but also saying that they don't know how. So basically just making it harder for her. At that point the two young men realized oh we "never touch that car" and one of them says "that was Keith" and then proceeds to laugh. I said it's unacceptable to be talking about a customers car and then reference the person who worked on it and laugh as if now there's something wrong with their car. That's not OK. The man who said it just looked away and didn't respond and the other young man said oh sorry. The young lady still could not find my car, but she's new so it's understandable. Another lady came over to help and said that it looks like it's been cashed out. So we went over to the cashier and she couldn't find it in the system either. So the first lady went and did some thing and figured out that it's all cash out I don't have to pay anything. But then they didn't know where my keys were. So they ran around trying to figure it out & realize they were at the front desk in case I came in late the day before to pick it up, although no one told me that I could come in after 5 PM. So now it's basically a waiting game to see if this oil leak is actually fixed. read more

The car salesman was very helpful, Tate, and I would recommend him. That's it. The day I got the car it started squealing when turning and so after calling service 3 times and messaging the sales manager twice trying to get ahold of service, I got finance guy who called me to change a couple things to go out and tell service to call me back finally. They said they will get the car in give me one for the day and get the issue fixed hopefully. The day of the appointment comes they keep the car, drive me to work instead of giving me a car like they said, and tell me they will call me when they know: Don't hear all day from them (9am-3pm) now I'm off work outside waiting, after calling 3 more times and talking to a receptionist who gives them a hand note cause I'm waiting outside, I get ahold of them and they said they heard the noise can't fix it, and actually tell me to wait till it gets WORSE then bring it back! Then they say we will have someone come get you soon. 25 min later no call no one there, I call back to give address cause they didn't ask the first time. Give address, they said someone is gone will be back soon and call me to come get me. 20 more min no word. I call back the ask and they ask for my address AGAIN to say someone is gonna be leaving soon ( I work 5 min away and now it's been 45 min of waiting ) I tell them I need a ride cause I have been waiting almost an hour now, someone in the background is yelling about me as I try to get someone to come pick me up like they said they would, so I can go get my car that they did nothing for, and drive it back still making noises. The WORST experience I have had at any auto servicing place ever, and it Total waste of time. Update: I took the car to a Mazda dealer and they were able to tell me in a few hours that it was the break housing, and got new clips and fixed it for under 100 bucks for me. Not sure how much they looked into it but seemed like a pretty quick fix to the mechanic at Mazda. read more

Just had the worst experience. I was told over the phone it would cost 240$ to replace my battery. And when I get there I was told it was just an estimate of 410$ then they take my car back and spend over an hour on it and the service lady Katie Kümmel told me they did extra stuff and over charged me. I should have went to an o Riley's and have them do it. Never go directly to a dealership because they will scam you and do stuff to your car with out your consent. read more

I've had a long relationship with this Jeep dealership. The short of it is I can't recommend them to anyone but they are not also all bad. This dealership is stuck in the old school mindset of haggle and sales practices that have made folks dislike dealerships for years. That said I did get a good deal on my vehicle but it was like pulling teeth. In shopping for a car or asking for trade in value they will take your keys while not even looking at your car and keep them through the sales negotiation to make it harder for you to walk away while doing the 'make you wait' game back and forth game. All the classic tricks, intimidation, downright rudeness, undervalue your trade in and fight about it etc. I bought my vehicle here because they ended up giving me a lot for my trade in but even that deal took nearly 5 hours and since looking for other cars with them they've played all the same games and then when you say you're already a customer they pretend they know who you are and try to make sure you feel 'taken care of' which is nothing different than any other customer. The 'free' service option when you buy has an expiration date they don't tell you about. Basically they will do anything to sell you a car, and you may get a good deal but expect to deal with all the old dealership games and tricks and fees and hours and hours of waiting while feeling gross about the whole experience. I've worked with several sales people here (yes they are all men) and the manager and all have played the same games. I rarely give a low rating but they seem to be consistent in their sales dealings the past two years I've dealt with them and other's reviews seem to reflect similar struggles. That said service is mostly good, they may waste your time on a trip or two during your personal work days when things aren't in or ready so make sure to confirm all of the things before committing your personal time to arriving for service or repair. But the service has always been friendly and swift once there. I've liked my service experience with the inner SouthEast Jeep dealer but I know folks have had issues with them committing to times as well and their rating is just barely higher than this dealership. read more
