They responded first thing this morning and were able to schedule me in for a repair this afternoon, coming to either my home or place of work. They arrived early, were super professional and they did a great job, even advising me of an issue I was unaware of with my side mirror. Nothing but great things to say about Gresham Glass. Have had two orders done with them, both great, but the last one is special. My wife had lost the wood shelves of her great grandfather's china cabinet during a move some years back. For her birthday I decided to have glass shelves custom made to replace them. Problem was, I mis-measured the length of the shelves. After getting these beautiful shelves, I took them back and explained my dilemma. After two more attempts to sand them down they now fit perfectly, and, still look great! My wife was in tears this morning when she realized her favorite antique was whole once again. Now, why I'm posting this is not just for the great job they did, it's for the fact that they did not charge me a penny for the two trips back to sand them to the right size even though it was MY mistake in measuring. I occasionally build custom glass vivariums and I have been getting my glass cut from Gresham Glass for about 5 years now. They where the first place I ordered glass from because at the time I lived in Troutdale and they where close. I had no idea at the time what an awesome place this was, I just kept going back because they where friendly and consistent. I would often order many different sizes and thicknesses of sheet glass and Gresham Glass always did a perfect job. Straight cuts and perfect sizes. It wasn't until I moved into Portland that I realized what a gem Gresham Glass actually was. For my last projects I called some of the chain glass stores closer to where I am and was blown away by how expensive they quoted me. Gresham Glass was cheaper by about 50%, no joke. I finally found a small glass store right up the road from me and they quoted me bit more expensive then Gresham Glass initially (still no where near the franchise businesses ridiculous prices) but agreed to price match what Gresham Glass quoted me and I got my glass cut there. I regret not going to Gresham Glass because some of the pieces I got where not consistent, the sizes where off by about 1/16" and some of the cuts where not straight which meant I had to spend a long time sanding down the glass edges once I got them home to have them fit my applications. From now on I will get all my custom sheet glass from Gresham Glass. It may be a bit out of the way for me now but it's well worth the drive. read more
