Mario took a few days to respond to my phone call requesting an estimate on a Miele dishwasher(due, to being very busy). But once he responded, he came the next day, thought I needed a part, and set up a time at the end of the day the following week so he could spend extra time if needed.. Our 20 year old GE refrigerator was not cooling the frij side although the freezer fan was blowing and the temp control was on 8 and 9. After watching several YouTube videos and reading some articles I took off the back panel in the freezer and discovered the freezer coils were chock a block with ice which meant that the defrost was not working. Further research told me to pour hot water on the coils to remove the ice build up and plug it back in. When I did the temp control panel did not light up but the lights were on inside. Again, YouTube said it was the mother board in the back that needed replacing and I could have done it myself. Problem was we had a dryer that stopped working and an old GE dishwasher that hadn't been working since February so I decided to get it all done by calling Mario who was recommended to me by Automatic Appliance here in Chicago. I called Mario and he said he could be here by the afternoon. He showed up at the time he said he would with his assistant both wearing masks and even asked if he needed to remove his shoes. His deduction after reviewing everything was that it was the mother board which he replaced. He plugged it in and the frij and freezer fan turned on. He then checked the dryer and found the pin/switch in the door had been broken so he replaced that. As far as our dishwasher, we had already researched the quietest one to get which was a Bosch 800 but he said the high end ones you pay extra for bells and whistles. He recommended the best one to get was a 300 or 500 series which we'll now order. All in all he came on time, was fast and efficient and not majorly pricey. So i'll just say it, Mario is the man! I had an issue with my washing machine where the wash would not move to the next cycle. So I took pictures of the washing machine and shared my issue. Within 4 hours, Mario responded diagnosing what the issue was, mentioned what part he'd have to get and the total cost including labor to get the job done. Fast forward a few days later, he came by and installed the new washing machine dial within 10 minutes. He stuck around to run the wash to make sure it transitioned into the next cycle and it did! I highly recommend their business. we had a nightmare with our refrigerator which was not cooling. You can imagine how hard is to not have any refrigerator in the kitchen. I contacted Mario yesterday about an incomplete installation job on a new dishwasher from Home Depot. The installers claimed that they could not install the new appliance because of a corroded water shutoff valve. Anyhow, I requested a quote from Mario and he wrote me back within minutes with a very very detailed explanation about how this sort of thing happens all the time with Home Depot installers. I called Mario for more information and he was very responsive and knowledgeable. He even gave me advice about how to check/repair the valve myself. The price he quoted me to install the dishwasher was reasonable as well. Although Mario has not rendered his services yet, his knowledge, approach, and professionalism are awesome and I feel much better about the project after speaking with him. It is very difficult to find a reliable service person that communicates properly and shows up on time or gives heads up if he will be late. The reason I am giving 5 stars to Mario was because of his communication. He communicates as a *normal person* would communicate.
