Of COURSE, it was laundry day when my washer decided it wouldn't fill up with water. I was a nervous new homeowner who knew when to Google and when to call someone. After many failed attempts to get the washer to tell me what was up, I looked up AA Best Appliance Service and decided to give them a ring based on the great reviews here and elsewhere. Ivan picked up immediately and told me he could be over in a couple of hours on the same day. Within seconds of assessing the issue, he knew exactly what was wrong--bad pipes that had rusted to the point of zero water passthrough. He took the time to show me what and where I should point a plumber to fix the issue and then rigged up a great workaround (sink hookup, duh!) to tide us over in the meantime. Prices were super fair, and I will absolutely be calling AA Best Appliance Service when my next appliance decides to act up. read more

Based on all the positive reviews I hired Ivan. He is also endorsed by Angie's list. He did come out the same day and left my machine in worse condition with rust all over. He came back to wipe the rust off and flipped out of the blue, screaming at me, he walked out leaving the machine with all the rust created from changing a pump. As he had suggested, I asked him to reverse the work order and take the pump. Instead he stormed off yelling at the top of his voice and sending me later nasty text after text. Trades refusing to take pride in their work and just interested in making a quick buck is common. But losing your temper in the first work encounter and irrational is cause for concern. Ivan is NOT FIT professionally to work any washer or dryer. I strongly recommend you to think twice. read more

I scheduled an appointment with the owner. From there we were texting back-and-forth about the address and my information. I texted him the day he was supposed to be there and was told my appointment was canceled. I asked him who canceled the appointment and all I could get out of him is that somebody with the same brand of dryer canceled an appointment and I was the only one he had so it must've been me. I asked him to tell me the phone number that canceled or the name of the person that canceled and he would not respond. Also, would not respond to multiple phone calls. read more

Really great company to deal with. They came right away to fix our fridge. Unfortunately, due to things out of their control, we have to have someone else take care of the issue because of other circumstances (there is a class action settlement that requires the original company to fix the issue). I appreciate the honesty and guidance they gave me to get the issue fixed for free. They could have never mentioned it. The cost for looking at the issue and attempting a repair was super reasonable. Our Kitchen Aid washing machine was not spinning properly and we called AA Best and had an appointment 2 days later. They gave us a 2 hour window of when they would arrive and said they would call when they were on their way. The delivered as promised. Ivan took a look at the problem and said he did not have the part with him but would return 2 days later or the next day if he had a cancellation. He gave us a firm estimate of the cost to repair. The next day he came and repaired the washing machine and its good as new. The initial service call was $60 less than Sears. The final cost was exactly as promised. My 10 plus year old dryer started making screeching noises and I knew I should get it addressed before it died completely. I used Ivan's company two years ago for this same dryer so I didn't hesitate to call him again. I called Ivan on Wednesday and he was at my house at 9:30 the next morning! For the second time in about two years, my refrigerator was dying -- loud noises, rising temperatures, etc. Some web research uncovered my problems were pretty common in the model, so I started to look into replacements. To get one that would fit the abnormally small space, it was going to be about $1400, so I decided to call AA Best. Ivan came out and immediately knew what the problem was. Two hours later, it was not only running again, but he installed some extra "stuff" to prevent the problem from recurring. He even hooked up the icemaker, which had been disconnected since I'd moved in three years earlier. Yes, I'm lazy. Anyway, highest recommendation from me. We've used AA Best Appliance for a washer & dryer repair at our rental unit. Ivan is great! He provides honest, professional service with quality repairs. At the beginning of November the motor went out on the dryer so we had to purchase a new motor. A couple weeks later one of the tenants contacted me saying that the dryer was taking 2 cycles to dry and was rattling. Ivan was able to come out the following day to assess the situation. He determined that the rattling was from the new motor having to settle and that the dryer wasn't drying because there was too much lint build up in the duct. Not only does he tell you what's going on but he shows you why something is or is not working. I feel very confident in the quality of service I received. He kindly cleaned out the lint for me and checked the motor. The rattling has stopped and the clothes are drying. read more

We have used Ivan at AA Best Appliances for several repairs in our home over the past 2 years: two times for our refrigerator and once for our washer. All three times, Ivan demonstrated a ton of expertise about what was causing the problem and offered options for fixing it. When an appliance breaks down, replacing a component is often an option, but Ivan had other solutions for us that did not require replacement (and which cost less). When he called back, he said, "I was just out there." No one called. No one knocked on my door. When I gave him my information and my landlord's information to take care of the bill (in advance), he said, "I don't take credit cards." I've had plumbers, carpenters, locksmiths and other service repairs done to my unit. All of them were able to bill my landlord. When I explained that to the man who called, he said, "We don't take credit cards. You have to pay the bill." When I said that no other repair person operates that way, he hung up.
