Honestly, this was one of the best shops I've ever been to. My artist, Spectra, was amazing she's incredibly talented at what she does and truly has such a kind, genuine soul. She took the time to really understand what I wanted instead of just throwing something together and calling it done. She made sure I loved what she was tattooing, stayed professional, and kept her focus the whole time. Aside from Spectra, the shop as a whole was just as great. Everyone was welcoming, started conversations, and created a really comfortable vibe not dry or standoffish at all. booked an online appointment with Spectra then was texted she was on maternity leave. typically I would think you would update your calendar to reflect this. she also could have referred us to another tech. Booked an online appointment with Lexie and received both a text and emailed confirmation. she also texted my daughter directly. Went to appointment and was told she was not there. Another staff member texted her and we were told she was not planning on coming in at all. while there Jesse said he would do the tattoo at 9:30am the next morning and we texted him the image then. 10 minutes before 9:30am that morning he texts that he won't be at the shop until 10am and it wouldn't be done with the work until 12:30pm when we had already told him that my daughter had to be a work at noon. he rudely texted to my daughter to " stop texting and to just reply yes or no to the time" she had already approved the image but just wanted softer lines. this business is very unprofessional and I would have also had them fix a tattoo of mine also but we will not be back. a shame as we are in Moon Valley and it's super close to us. do not recommend read more

went in not expecting much because i had a completely botched tattoo from Limitless Ink (avoid that place at all costs if u know whats good for u) and not a lot of artists are willing to do cover ups or in my case, finish someone else's work. BUT i cant thank them enough. David is the owner and he did my tattoo flawlessly and fast. Amazing guy, so respectful, willing, able AND happy to do whatever you ask for (i asked for a lot of shading lol). Not only did he do it for cheaper than the other garbage shop before, but he even added another tattoo to complete my half sleeve. I will 100% be coming back for the rest of my arm. I'm not sure how David is still in business, I was excited to get my first tat and it ended up being a terrible experience from start to finish, he showed up 2+ hours late to every single one of our sessions or would forget our appointment and ask to reschedule after I had taken time off of work. Not the customer service I would expect from the owner. I'm too embarrassed to post my tattoo on here cause it's so bad. I checked out his Instagram to view his work prior to getting mine done and was impressed with a lot of his pieces, but now I realize how inconsistent he is after seeing the other botched tattoos he's done from the bad reviews and horror stories from others on Yelp and Google . The line work and attention to detail is so poor, he completely rushed through it. I brought my concerns to his attention and he kept saying "that will be fixed, everyone says that at first, cause it's not done yet, just wait till it's finished" well the finished product looks like a drawing done by a kindergartener. Now I have to spend thousands of dollars to get this greyblotch removed. Learn from my mistakes and others that went to this guy and check the reviews of your tattoo artist before you trust them with your body. read more

What started out great ended in a terrible experiece and i will never recommended nor go to this tattoo shop. I came in and asked for some color and fix my old tattoo and add some new to pop it out my old tattoo Jacolby sketched out two flowers and told me he would add the two flowers with color and then add color and outline to my other flowers to match. I paid 50 upfront with no problem. He told me he was open untill 8pm saturday my apt was at 3 yet he asked if i can make it 4 so worked around it. Not only did the tattoo start late he did not add the color to the other tattoes as we discussed and agree. The agreement was two added flowers with color green and red and he would outline the other and add color to match 100$ . He knew the budget he knew what I needed and I was up front and professional and im disappointed I did not get that in return. I was excited and thought I finally found a legit shop. Then He did only two flowers rushing and then told me at 5 he had to go and he would finish it on mon. when monday came he canceled and then he never responded back to my message to finish the tattoo so not only do i have a half work done i spent money in a unethical shop with employees who are not accountable or finish their work. No one should make an arrangement to take their money and not finish the work. i need half my money back for half the work. PERIOD!!! What a joke half ass work. Is this the kind of people you hire grey wash? UPDATE: Never heard back from anyone at the shop regarding the terrible service and tattoo. The good news is I went and got it fixed with an amazing artist that is reliable and professional and actually knows how to tattoo he fixed my tattoo and did a better job. He had to go off the other two trash tattoos to make it blend better. It sucks cause this was not my vision but since the tattooo artist at grey wash Ink messed up my tattoo the old and new two added trash flowers and started a tattoo and didn't complete it and played me out my money I had to work with what I had. This is a lesson for me and I'm sharing with you all about these shops in Arizona with trash unreliable artist who just want money. I WILL continue to trash this shop and THE artist because my body is important and tattoos last forever and that was shitty what this shop did and I am not the first to review this trash shop with they fake reviews and lies. I started going here back in August 2019 and Jane is my tattoo artist. She is AMAZING! She's done 7 tattoos on me since. She's also done a whole arm piece on my Husband. I love her vibe and style which is what keeps me coming back so often. She also runs some specials on her instagram, evgeniiadarland, give her a follow and check her out. She also did a cover up on my wrist which I really love. As for the shop, there's plenty of parking, shop is super clean and everyone is really friendly and welcoming. I have to agree with Kyle! I thought I was being paranoid. David was also over n hour late to my second appointment, constantly going in the bathroom, he is definitely on something. He kept jerking like he was falling out. I had to reschedule the 3rd session because I got an infection after the second. After the first session the tattoo started bleeding into my skin. I am so glad I saw this before going back again. Now I'm stuck with some sort of blob and some lines that aren't even finished. Looks like he did good work at one point but not anymore. The owner David did this tattoo that is supposed to be a sunflower. I had told him I wanted a realistic looking tattoo, showed him a picture , and this is what I got. When I questioned him after it healed, he blamed me saying that I didn't explain myself well and that my arm didn't take the color well. The lines on this look like it was done by a complete novice. Guy is also an unorganized mess. I scheduled a touch up and he changed the time twice before I decided to jump ship and find someone who knows what the hell they are doing. Set an appointment a month out on their website for me and my daughter to get a small (1x1 inch) B/W piece to commemorate being reconnected after a very long time apart. Since we would only be able to spend a few days together, a matching tattoo seemed like a great way to have a permanent symbol for when we miss each other. We sent the simple design (a heart she drew as a young child) ahead of time to make sure our artist was extra prepared even though additional design work wouldn't be necessary. Our artist, Zach, sent me a text 2 days before the appointment notifying me that he was already fully booked on the date of our appointment. We let him know that this was confusing, as our appt had already been confirmed. He soon replied that he now saw the appt and would clear his schedule to honor our reservation. At this point he asked for a $100 deposit which I gladly Venmo'd over immediately. We showed up 15 min early for the appt to fill out any paperwork. Zach texted us from his chair to let us know that he was running 30 minutes late on the previous client. So much for honoring our appt...We decided to wait. After an hour passed, we ended up leaving - having not heard anything from him since. I guess I should mention, we were never even acknowledged by Zach in person, despite being seated in the front of the shop for over an hour! Thus ensued the frantic calling around to see which shop would take 2 clients on the same day (daughter wouldn't be in town any longer). We were so lucky that Golden Rule Tattoo in Phoenix was willing to make things right for us. read more

Still a great place. I reviewed this back when it first opened and I still love the location and staff. I recently asked the owner if he could help me with designing my cane after my 3rd spinal surgery. This is not something I knew he would do and not something he advertises but he agreed and I couldn't be happier with how it looks. It's not even completely done but it has a great punk graffiti look to it and I will upload a picture once it's all completed! I cant give enough stars for David and his crew!! Updating this review bc I was still never contacted back by the shop. After going to my other girl to try to fix my tattoo I realized how fucked up the tattoo David Wands did on me is. I spent 1000+ on laser removal on a tattoo and trusted him to give me a nice cover up. I'll attach a photo of the cover up. You can see where the old tattoo is still, the new tattoo is all muddy and randomly shaded all over the place, it's like he had no creative vision what so ever and just scribbled shading in random places. I also have scarring on multiple parts of my arm from him tattooing. Among all the other bullshit I had to deal with in my previous review. I would absolutely not recommend this shop to anyone. I honestly hope they shut down bc I feel bad for anyone going to an artist that gives so little of a shit about the quality of work they do, and is so unprofessional to ghost the client. Christina is amazing! I was following the shop on instagram and decided to reach out a few months ago to get a mom and daughter tattoo. We both wanted "I love you" in each others handwriting. Received a really bad tattoo. The problem is really bad line work because David has a super shaky hand when tracing. This can be seen on many photos of his work when they aren't edited. The HarryPotter design on Greywash facebook page shows how bad it all is. Plenty of artists and other shops in the Valley so please don't bother wasting your money or skin at this place. read more
