He answered all my questions patiently, walked me through everything, and worked efficiently without ever making me feel rushed. His fine line work is so clean and precise. I chose Forever True mostly based on yelp reviews and proximity. The design I had was pretty simple, so I wasn't concerned with the competency of the artist, it would be hard to mess up,but I still wanted an enjoyable experience. I showed up out of the blue on a Thursday afternoon to see if they take walk is. The studio is perfect, they play good metal, '80's punk,and basically the music I want to hear when getting some ink. I was introduced to Jenny, I showed her wanted on my phone, she said send it to me, a few minutes later I'm getting some nice ink from a really cool artist. Went back 2 days later to have her do a design I'd worked on. I asked her to add herself into the design, and what she came up with was what I couldn't quite get to. So happy with this place. What is there to say? In the late summer of 2008 I was attacked by a herd of Owls. I've been told you don't call a group of Owls a herd, but if you saw what I saw that day you would understand there are no other words. I was lifted up and taken to squaw peak where I was water boarded via small beakfulls of water for weeks on end. They lightly bit my chest to cause pain, yet also oddly sensually and played Muskrat Love by Captain & Tennille over and over and over. I eventually got my hands on two left over Arrows I had stored in my left sock from the Arizona Renaissance Fair(see that review for further details, Spoiler alert: The turkey legs are to die for and this guy was knighted) and stabbed the herd leader in the chest killing him. How did I know he was the leader you ask? Oh, I don't know maybe the leather jacket and the fact he wouldn't shut the hell up about it gave it away. Long story short, I returned home a damn hero. Yesterday I got a tattoo to commemorate this occasion and Todd did a perfect job as always. I'm sure I'll return to finish shading and color, and eventually for more tattoos, but I won't return to Squaw Peak with that damned Owl Herd nor will their leader from the grips of death. 5 stars. Jenny made eye contact right when I walked in the shop; even though she was in finishing a tattoo at the moment, she got up and asked me what I was thinking. I quickly bounced some ideas off of her and she told me she'd be ready in 30 minutes or so. She whipped out her iPad and quickly drew up a quick sketch of what I was thinking and I asked her to fine-tune a couple small things. She made it seem effortless. Julian is a complete know it all, and he can't even tattoo a circle. He tried to tell me I was telling him the wrong thing when in fact, he was wrong and didn't hear me. Then proceeded to draw flimsy squiggly circles that I now have to get reblasted by someone who can really tattoo. He also said it was going to be 40 extra dollars because he had to change machines (for color shading). Never have I experienced anything like this before. And never will I go back. read more

I wanted a tattoo artist to draw on my body to complete my Harley Quinn tattoo scheme plan for a Halloween costume this past Saturday night. After corresponding with lots of people and shops I felt like the people at Forever True Tattoo were not only legit but also good people. My gut was right and after Todd and his wife were so cool and accommodated my request I left the shop with awesome lettering and exactly what I wanted. I've got to tell you this was one of the best tattoo experiences I've had. I had my first tattoo done up in Alaska and hadn't found a shop here in AZ. My son wanted to get his first tattoo for his birthday so I joined him. We came in and met the crew and they were hugely supportive in helping my son to relax, Todd and team started of giving him a ration of crap out of the gate and it didn't stop. I went to so many tattoo places looking for some help with a tattoo I had been getting laser treatments on for the past year. I felt like what was best for me was to do a cover up tattoo. My tattoo was fading but I was developing some scar tissue and it's too hard keeping the area from sun exposure. So I shopped around and got many different opinions from many tattoo artists. When I went into this shop I was impressed right away with how clean, spotless, the place was. I met Brandon and he seemed knowledgeable and said he could easily do what I wanted. Which I had been told by many others it wouldn't work. So I happily paid my deposit and waited for him to email me a mock up of what I wanted. He was right on, I loved what he did. Granted, I just wanted roses but there's lots of ways to do roses and I didn't want some cartoon style. Then last night I finally got to go in and I was so nervous. Not because it does hurt. I was nervous because I had spent a freaking year removing a tattoo painfully and that's something I don't want to have to do ever again. It's a lot of trust we put in a tattoo artist. This is not something I jump into. He didn't rush me. He was fine letting me change stuff then change it back. The other guys who work there were awesome too. Kept the whole atmosphere really light and stress free. And my result..... I'm so happy. Brandon did such a beautiful job. He was moving lightening fast when he was shading. So since other customers have decided to go elsewhere you assume everyone is this way. Well I have many tattoos and my artist who is in another state has never done this and shows everything online. He is a true artist. The artist would not work with me and was not willing at all. He wanted to show me the day of not before, and I am sorry all he was creating was 3 flowers simple enough, I just wanted to make sure it wasnt wasted time because he is traditional/ flash type and I am more realistic. I will be keeping my review. His communication was horrible and his attitude towards my tattoo gives an uneasy feeling when the person you are paying to create a forever art on you doesn't want to do it will give it a different outcome. My friends tattoo was a simple X and O heart shaped maybe .5x 1 inch in size of that and he wanted to charge 80, that was crazy and she said that it was too much for something so simple. So losing my deposit is way more worth it then getting something I don't like by someone who didnt want to do it. So you way say what you want, but you were not there. read more
